"Because I let it happen." That's your answer to any question of "Why". Try it on. See how it feels. Are you empowered? Then act. why did she...? Because you let her why did I just...? Because you let yourself Through your cowardice, your in-action, your lack of preparation, your over-willingness to accept reasons and excuses instead of results, your reliance on another to do anything at all, your fear of anyone's opinion, your submission to the tyranny of "don't feel like it"... How did you let…

Wouldn't recommend it, from someone who did that a few times, LSD several, mescaline a few. Shortcuts don't pay off. Not that it didn't change... something... It's better when you earn it. Much better.

I am at a point to where I could resist and laugh at someone who offered me heroin, or put them in their place and walk away. 15 years ago, I was not. When you're not in a good place, you sometimes need to rearrange your life so you survive. I had to sever a tie with my best friend so I could move on. It sucked, but it was the move to make. stop caring... Control your emotions not be fazed You have to get to Mastery. And sometimes you start in a place of weakness, where you don't trust yourself …

Psychology too, though it's broader and looser and thus, bits of it overlap some actually productive stuff. Shoving someone through a path of modern western medicine, pharmacology, neurobiology, etc to try to solve behavioral, spiritual, social problems is a cluster fuck best avoided. I managed to get out of it alive. My best friend and many others did not. But there is a difference between psychiatry and "therapy".

Yup. Adds a nice nuttier flavor to it. Cream helps emulsify, especially if you blend it hard, or use a frother. I make my own ghee.

I'm on keto, and struggle to hit 2000. My breakfast is coffee with usually a tbsp of ghee, a tbsp of can cream and sometimes coconut oil, along with some protein. I used myfitnesspal for a couple weeks and was averaging 1700 - 1800 kcal. What do your meals look like?

It both. You can't have a medicine without the disease.

Not a doctor. Not disabled in that way. But I do keto and it has cleared my thinking. It is not that the clear moments are clearer, but that there are far far fewer unclear moments. The food coma and lethargy that came after eating is 95% reduced since maintaining a ketogenic state and eating keto. General hunger is reduced 80%. Physically I've improved. The diet itself takes a relatively high level of discipline, as far as diets go. I mean real diets, where you actually eat food. Starvation req…

Just wrong . Username checks out. Welcome to TRP. It can get ugly. The pill is usually a tough swallow. Read the sidebar material, and good luck.

Look into zerowater. Good ratings, good taste.

Heh. It's /trp...spray the crowd en masse and how someone catches it and does something with it. We all start somewhere. I chuckled as well.

Not OP, but keto has been fucking great. Sugar is gone. I go through coconut oil and ghee like it was Gay Lube Oil. I workout everyday (in between squat sets now) and feel great. Never drained of energy. Almost never hungry. Food coma is a distant memory. Mind is clear. I feel fucking sharp. Incidentally, I stick to almonds (in moderation) and walnuts. Brazil nuts (not more than a couple daily). Get urine testing strip when you're adapting and read up on when they'll start failing you.

Thanks. Nobody's perfect. I can tend to ramble and sometimes get outside of the point I'm trying to make. Hope it made sense.

Not a bad one. It came across to me as a criticism. Maybe you didn't mean it that way. I responded just in case someone took it negatively. Not attacking you, bud.

Mindset problem, in a way. You are listening to yourself. Instead of that, talk to yourself. Tell yourself what you need to do and why. Out loud is better, but not necessary. People are all about their feelings. Especially women. It's a TRP Axiom... but this is not about women. This is about you. You don't feel like it, but you can disagree with your feelings. Get practice doing it. Read on. If you don't feel like it, your mind will generate excuses to justify your feelings. Example - not feelin…

Try dumbell fly's (with little weight) to see how your shoulder likes them or chest fly's on a cable machine. Do get the shoulder looked at. Can't do much with a fucked up shoulder. There are also specific exercises that isolate rotator cuffs to strengthen them. Careful with those but look into it.

It's true. And don't think it's a bad thing. At all. Reframe this in a good light to yourself so you don't fall into the blue-pill trap of avoiding your own success because you view successful people as controlling, and see that as negative. It is not. The best racecar drivers have the sharpest, finest control of their vehicles. The best martial artists control their bodies and minds the best. The best commanders control their troops to within an inch of their lives and competently get their mis…

Bookmarked as well. Good advice I still can improve on. Especially the addictions part. You can be deliberate a out what you let consume your attention until you figure out how to control your attention. I don't agree that you can't fix an addictive personality, but it's hard, deep work. It's easier to control what you have attention on and controlling your environment is the best way. As they say, it's much easier to act your way into good thinking than to think your way into good action. Fully…

Very true. It goes beyond that, but not for most people. Huge echo chamber, false validation, shallow community (in most cases)... It's all there.

... and posting about it all to social media. Your mind is a well-trained, powerful machine - a machine that you need to reign in and regain control of. Get off reddit for the rest of today. No audiobooks, nor books, nor podcasts. No more of other people's thoughts, conclusions, opinions, stories and successes. Start something little on your to do list and let your mind turn to the handling of that task. Clean your room, your car. Groom yourself above what you normally do. Whatever. Focus on the…

It's a relationship that likely won't improve by any RP standard. It will end quick or slow, but it's a huge investment to try to salvage. I wouldn't say dump her if this is the only criterion met, but its a factor to look at and evaluate. The others are more serious, like contact with other men or disrespect in any of its forms.

Not always. Not forever. You'll always remember but it won't always affect you the same way. But while it's still there (and it still is, right now, inside you), I'd keep ignoring her. An ex-heroin-addict can be around heroin and not want to do it again... But not for a while after he breaks the habit. It takes time and deliberately growth. I've experienced this first and second-hand. Keep working on yourself and you'll be able to see this girl (and even fuck her) later down the road without los…

Zero sum means basically that for you to win, another has to lose. Some games are actually like that. Some aren't. Some are but don't have to be. I don't like the whole approach of I win or she wins because it doesn't have to be that way. I don't view "oneitis" as permanent in any way. That's a strange idea. You outgrow it, but only if you grow. It's partly an idealization of a woman beyond what's justified - pedestalization. It's partly trying to fill a hole within yourself with the radiant pre…

Not fully defeated, but a major win, as he said. Being able to find humor or have fun in a situation that's personally awkward is just fine. If he wants to ignore her, great. That's best. If he wants to play (with fire [Old Beta, Oneitis Self], mind you), fine too. Might get burned again, though. This isn't a zero-sum game. But the zero-sum game of she loses/I win is sometimes a stage we need to go through and learn from to move past. Long as he's moving forward, he needn't be perfect. I was rea…

He can take a win because his game wasn't with or against this girl. His game is with himself. He's not trying to beat her. She can think whatever he wants, if anything. His victory was against his old self. He's getting better and has more distance to travel.
