Morals only have standing because of consequences that come from those actions. Religious individuals don't lie because of the consequence of hell. I actually am grateful for your post. My family are all educated with degrees and practice medicine or teach at colleges. (Except me). While I normally enjoy political discourse with them since we see things so differently but with what happened to Charlie...I'm shocked. I'm 31, enjoy guns, and think differently than them. When I pointed out that would mean I deserve to die too or I have it coming they just nodded. I couldn't ever imagine such foolishness from my own family.
