It'll definitely be memorable, and it takes the pressure off then of having to remember your name if they want the talk again. Also taking initiative and putting forth a little effort in today's dating climate plays really well. Basically if a person likes you, they will like the move.

I don't think it'd be weird, but you'd need to put a lot of thought into the messaging on the card. It's good because it lets them remember your first name, (skip the lasy name, they can ask for it) maybe could put a really good professionally composed picture. Some really short text, like the bio in a dating profile, give someone 2 things to pick up and ask about/react to, not a full profile.

So what was the thing you we just able to "fix"? Did you hire a dating coach to advise you to get plastic surgery?

Women can tell when a guy is just going through the motions to get the benefits of an intimate relationship without actually enjoying the process of getting to know them. So yeah, the mindset does matter, but you can't just decide to have it.

So many guys just don't enjoy dating, so how can you have a good date under those circumstances?

You don't want to date or have any commitments, but you don't want them to think you only want sex. Are you saying you only want sex, but want them to think you're interested in a relationship, or what are you actually looking for? You say it seems like they're hesitant because of fears you may reject them, when you're already set on rejecting everyone you meet. Think about how that mentality might be projecting through your behavior. A neutral disposition is the stance a person who doesn't want…

Yeah, but then it's just a matter of learning about what are reasonable drinks to buy during a cocktail date. A Boulivardier can be shipped very slowly, Gin and tonic or Moscow mule are also easy choices. Just slow down, sip intermittently and let the melting ice keep the drink going.

Asking them out on a date, leaning in for a kiss, holding hands, or any other gesture that signals a desire to move the relationship forward romantically or sexually.

I've had some amazingly bad interactions that somehow progressed to sex that night... I could have given up on myself and slunk away, but then I wouldn't have gotten that amazing boost to my ego.

What do you do, and what are your hobbies? Do you consider yourself a well rounded person? Context and reading queues are extremely important when flirting. Three people could act the exact same, but if one is at work, one is walking down the street, and one is in a bar, those are 3 extremely different scenarios with very different expectations.

Go see a play, try a new sport you've never tried before, just draw, attend a concert, grow a plant, get started going to the gym, try Yoga... Just a few things, most aren't even that expensive, lots are free.

I feel like you're falling into the "puzzle to solve" mentality by trying to prescribe overt masculinity as a solution to Men for issues around dating. Slowing things down, refraining from urgency, basically means not being impulsive. They're nice traits generally, but absolutely not an aphrodisiac. Some situations require impulsivity, like for first impressions, when planning the first date, and when responding to signals. Some situations require patience, like not rushing milestones, being awa…

I think the trick is to tell them about all the interesting things you're doing, and essentially invite them to join you. You're not an empty suit trying to gain validation or purpose from being in a relationship.

Ever hear of the 90/10 rule? Hold out your hand and invite her to hold it. Go in for a kiss, but hold for just a second before your lips touch and let them come the rest of the way. No kiss? Whoops, sorry, misread the situation, didn't force the kiss on them. It's not always about you taking it to the next step, but sometimes about making the decision for them to take the next step as easy as possible. I'm also red/green colorblind, so I can't even tell when girls blush, but I just look for a sm…

I would recommend having no more than 2 drinks in the span of an hour, and never more than 3 drinks in a 2 hour span which should still keep you under the limit and safe to drive. If you're having more than that, you're probably getting too intoxicated to be really present for the conversation, and would not be totally in control for presenting yourself in the best light. I live downtown, so Ubers are within 1 minute from me all the time, and a 5 minute ride home from the bar district, so I can'…

Approaching is the most difficult for me because i need some initial sign that I'm not imposing myself or causing them stress. Escalation is easy when mutual physical attraction has been established, as long as you do it step by step. Get the conversation flirty (double entendres, puns, genuine straight-up compliments sparingly, avoid self deprecating humor, don't explicitly mention sex), Ask her on a date (something simple, short, plan for 1 hour max, always options to extend if things are goin…

I think a lot of guys really need to broaden what they consider a favorable outcome. Having a good conversation that goes nowhere is better than never connecting. A night out for a drink that doesn't lead to sex is still an excuse to dress up and go out, and have a good time. A date that turns into a friendship could be a huge source of support, and broaden opportunities to meet people. At the extreme end, a marriage that ends still made you happy for a while. In the end, find ways to see the po…

I suppose it depends what you mean when you say "establishing your desires". If you're talking about "I want sex" that's like saying you like music and food. Assume everyone wants sex, and they know you want sex. Not many asexuals on dating apps, and those that are list it prominently in their profile. Assume they want to meet you, but don't assume they know you want to meet them. This has to do with managing insecurities. They just need some gaps filled in about your personality before feeling …

If someone explicitly states that they are straight, I don't match. Guys who would be open to dating a trans woman are very unlikely to mention it in their profile or state they are Bi. The Venn diagram for guys who are kinky enough for me to want to date, and guys who wouldn't date a trans woman, are pretty much two separate circles anyways.

I really found mentioning I'm trans up front really turned up how pervy guys would act off the bat.

I'm really not a fan of day game, because I don't like the imposition in another person's time when they're not really putting themselves out there for social contact. I'm also a very well passing trans woman, so that puts me at a big risk of violence revealing that in-person. Women really don't care, but men react very negatively. I've had guys buy me drinks and hit on me hard, but telling them I'm trans turns them off completely, and I don't like having to deal with that. Revealing it on tinde…

Apps really do the heavy lifting for you though. If you get a match you at least know they find you attractive, especially if you use honest full body photos. From that point on, you're just trying to be fun, and see if the attraction translates IRL. Going out for a drink is my go-to for a first first meet. A little alcohol at a quiet/classy cocktail bar really eases the jitters, won't break the bank, is way more conducive to conversation, and the evening is a better time for if they want to com…

I always always confirm the same day because things change. Last week I had two girls who were going to no-call no-show, but I managed to salvage one reservation with a last minute date, and the other I was able to make alternative plans. It takes 2 seconds, and if they can't even communicate that they're still down to go, they're not the kind of person I could have an ongoing relationship with anyways.

I think you're reading too much into it. It might also be a test to see if he's flexible and able to compromise, or if he's just going to completely disregard her input, as you're suggesting OP does. Or maybe she's being honest and her weekends are busy, and coffee in the evening doesn't work for her, because who drinks coffee in the evening... I think it's very bad form to go into a first date anticipating lies.

A girl offering an alternate time and place is a massively good sign. It's engagement, which means there is interest. Just make a joke during the date that next time it's your turn to choose.

It's pretty unlikely that a girl who is accepting your advances would bring up how she rejected you before specifically, more of a "have we met?". Mentioning how she didn't like you before might prompt her to think she was right the first time.
