Loving it. Agreed, man. It‘s awesome to see this comment in a board otherwise filled with anti-semitism and a bunch of other neo-fascist ideas. There are still left-wing masculine figures around. They just don‘t care as much about neo-Romanticism. Oh and there was the guy that punched Richard Spencer. Great show of force. Bit of a pity he didnt get to do more to him. And there‘s also the fact that Hemingway et al were intellectuals and would immediately decipher the ideologies of this place. His…

Some members of Rammstein are very left-leaning and Hemingway was a communist-sympathizer

The best thing about left-wing masculinity is that you altright dipshits will actually celebrate a communist. This is why I love Rammstein and Hemingway.

No need to write "trans individual". Just say if they're a trans man or a trans woman, not that hard. Also, 6 examples don't magically undermine male feminists. I am one and I would never rape anyone.

Actually, my point does address claustrophobia, agoraphobia and the others. They mean what they're understood as. That there is "-phobia" in them means nothing. As I said before, the parts that make up a word are only relevant when looking at words in their etymological context. Trying to pin down their meaning in the usage of today by analysing their compounds is nonsensical. My example with OCD works well here again because nobody would say: "Sorry, but I'm a bit obsessive-compulsive disorder …

You can't say the same word means this here but something else entirely over here. See, I have a problem with that. Hydrophobic doesn't have to do with fear either for example. Words mean what they are understood as, but only as long as there's no rule prohibiting that. Your point is that there is a distinction between people who hate gays and people who are afraid of them. You explain how there might be a link but that does not mean both groups are the same. And yeah, that might very well be, b…

You study linguistics?! You said that just because there's "-phobia" in a word means it must have to do with fear. Usage is king: You say a certain word and people understand a certain thing or concept behind it. Now it might be that you can look at the word's etymology and see what it used to mean originally, but this does not mean there is some kind of rule by which words are forbidden to evolve and gain new meanings/way of implementation. But in a way you are implying that. You're saying that…

You've been submitted to /r/badlinguistics. All the arguments you need are right there in academia. I guess you're an inquiring and interested person so go ahead and look for the reason why you're wrong. I also used to be all pedantic about language, but then I learned about linguistics.

Tagged you as one. I don't usually tag people so I guess it has some truth to it. If it doesn't there must have been a misunderstanding in some occasion.

Feminists said that MRA's should point out to this joke because men are portrayed as primitive. Then they circlejerked with gifs and such about how it's never gonna happen. Decided to test this subreddit and see what the reactions would be so I posted it.

Absolutely great movie! Everything is so realistic: The atmosphere, the dialogues and the acting. Mads Mikkelsen does an excellent job. It was about time a movie was made that treats the subject of being a man in times of paranoic fear of pedophiles.

That's biased thinking though. Wouldn't interpret much if there's no further details on their motives.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
