She’ll come at you with the reasoning that the return will be larger if you file jointly. Which is true. But she’ll steal it. Watch out for child support too - mine tried to have me mail a check months early because she was moving and afraid she wouldn’t get the check. Yeah - wasn’t buying that. The IRS recognized long ago that one spouse can take the whole return and not split it. It’s filling single while married there is a category for that.
