Appreciate your humor but you're missing the mark. I felt badly because it was an example of her not trusting me. We had had other issues in the past where she get's very suspicious of me. It's not that she likes to be clean, and it's not that I like stinky women. Science supports that finding someones natural smell appealing is a sign of future healthy offspring. It's not abnormal. She showered because it was an insecurity, same reason women like to shave their pussy before you go down on them,…

So that's the difference. She didn't just forget about my request. She actively disregarded it. If she asked to lift the seat and you deliberately didn't out of spite she has more grounds for kicking up a shit.

I do see how ridic it sounds, but did you leave the toilet seat as a power play to begin with? Or did you think it was a shit request and couldn't be fucked? Did you think she was being controlling by asking you to lift up the seat?

Yea sure, I have narcissistic traits. Maybe BPD as well. I do need to win every social interaction, that's true. That is why I'm replying to every comment here. That and I do generally enjoy a good argument. Your need to be the dominant one is a weakness that will only hold you back. I will dwell on this. It feels accurate tbh. I've seen less intelligent people play this same game and it comes off as insecure as fuck. I'm not sure I'm super damaged in this regard but still feels pertinent. And w…

Sorry, if you only want to see what's on the surface you're missing the point.

Making judgement calls without asking for context. You lack nuance.

This seems closer to the convo I wanted to have. Good insights. I do think that everything is a power dynamic game, every interaction is competing narratives, even what we're doing now is that. It's inescapable. But that doesn't mean it needs to define the interaction. The issue for me is the fact that I just stated a preference, I like her natural smell and want her to not feel self-conscious around me. It also has logistical benefits because she often can think seeing me is a bigger deal than …

Sure keep fucking her but you deserve better in a partner. She should have been happy to be dirty or said shes going to shower openly. Agree that she should have addressed my request. Ignoring it and defying it is a red flag for me.

She doesn't like it if I turn up 5 minutes before I say I will because she times everything to the minute. "I know this is stupid but if you get here early again can you just wait in the car or not tell me".

Nah, relationships are about catering to the others silly preferences. I've done it for her. She can do it for me.

It's about the fact that I directly expressed a preference and she ignored it.

Nah bro, I'm enforcing my preferences with someone that is directly seeing how much she can get away with.

Appreciate your tact. I see this as me stating a preference. I love her natural smell and have told her that. She is going out of her way to challenge me on this. Despite the fact that I was literally going out of my way to save her coming to mine. Surely there is an option D here: Show that I'm not pleased, don't bitch or start an argument, wait for compliance or next her. It was a small thing and she knew what she was doing.

Sure, good to see some levelheadedness on this topic. I made very clear that I am aware that emotional injury is the primary reason many men find their way to TRP. But I believe the appeal of 'gun always loaded' is directly related to it's similarity to NAWALT. In this very thread you have men saying "I don't expect all women to be like that, but I'm never surprised when one is" and "AWALT is a precautionary approach". These statements are coming from the denial and clinging to the unicorn we al…

You're now a waste of time. You talk shit about reading comprehension when your own verbal IQ is highly likely below average. Good luck with those unicorns bra.

Oh, look, the ever present emotions of an AWALT denier. Keep swallowing cos you're not there yet. Your point is simple, and I get it, I'm saying it's a bad analogy because there is no such thing as an "unloaded" woman but the analogy presupposes that there is. Which would make sense, given that you just voiced that you think you know three unicorns that completely defy female nature in all of it's nuance. Do you have any idea of how emotionally charged and insensible you sound? Male's sexual str…

This is intellectually dishonest cherry picking to avoid addressing the fundamental message of that paragraph. You can go on your moral parade about gun etiquette all you want but you're only making my case stronger. How many times do you think I will kill my friend if I unload a gun 10,000 times and point it at my friend and pull the trigger? IRRELEVANT! you scream and if I was being tested that's the answer I'd give too. The actual answer is of course probably 0. And yet despite this we strong…

That wasn't my interpretation of what you were trying to say, that was a direct quote from someone in this thread. Which proved exactly what I believe the danger of the "all guns are loaded" to be. Reading is fundamental dude.

It's clearly you that's failing to grasp the point. Relaying the analogy after someone has stepped you through why they disagree with it isn't even an argument, it's just finger-in-ear yelling. If you could show me the sentence/paragraph you're talking about in this post that somehow directly relates to your interpretation that would help or, better yet, you could address my argument directly. When people say "AWALT" is like "All guns are loaded" in the sense that we don't really believe that al…

There are too many "All guns are loaded" analogies floating around here despite posts like this. Understand that the desire to liken AWALT to a mere safety precaution is ultimately an expression of your innate masculine desire to overlook the negative aspects of female nature. It's a cognitive bias that you need to be aware of because as many of us know it has a tendency to lead us so far down a road of fantasy that when the veil is inevitably lifted suicide can seem real inviting. "All guns are…

Given that OP doesn't believe in "unloaded guns" you're almost certainly wrong. It is also in men's nature to overlook the many downsides of female nature and I don't think it takes the most cerebral individual to identify that the men on here likening AWALT to "precautionary measures" are reaffirming that characteristic. Unloaded guns are very common, all you have to do is find a gun and check. Either find a gun that isn't loaded and prevent it from ever being loaded (??????) or find a gun that…

All women have vaginas. Vaginas, while no two are exactly alike, all have general properties and characteristics that enable them to be identified as such.

I can't speak for /u/illimitableman but I get the impression that the "All guns are loaded" mantra that gets repeated here a lot is precisely what is being attacked in this post. "All guns are loaded" is practiced with the knowledge that obviously all guns are not loaded but the discipline of taking precaution well outweighs the potential risk of not treating a loaded gun as such. Philosophically, it's nearly identical to "Don't point a gun at someone unless you're prepared to pull the trigger".…

There probably isn't a non-religious/emotional argument for caring about the survival of an early fetus but there certainly is one for caring about whether the practice is accepted in society. Given men's preference for the survival of their genes and the nature of social mores to restrict immediate self-interest I don't think it's surprising that society would frown upon abortion as a collaborative effort to discourage unwanted behavior.

If you're interested in turning this into a video series sometime I'd be interested in working with you on producing some content for the those that are yet to apply the principles of gamification to quality 2500 word TRP-posts.
