This does not apply to men because they are strong hunter gatherers. They are therefore entitled to demand ownership of pre-pubescent (looking) "females" as their reward.

I couldn't read on past "men are visual creatures". Yikes.

Imagine being utterly useless but not even having the foresight to make a list, double check, and ask all the questions in one call? How much do you wanna bet he also didn't pick up things that weren't explicitly asked for (reckon he didn't notice they were almost out of washing up liquid or toilet paper) or anything even remotely thoughtful "just because".

Yeah I was no more than 7 when I not only had to share a changing cubicle with the "naughty boy" before and after we went swimming with school. I was also told that I had to be kind and share my towel because he didn't have one. As a class, we would sit on the carpet floor for story time. If a girl got up for anything, at least one boy would look up her skirt. For morning assembly, we had to sit alternating boy/girl. Apparently it was because the boys wouldn't mess around as much that way. Shame…

I FEEL this! I was a F cup at 13. The distribution of my fat onto my chest meant that I was magicaly sexually mature woman and trying to harass me was fine. I bet these same guys would get angry at seeing women breastfeeding in public huh?

Firstly, well done for all the work you've done so far. Everybody heals in a different way and at a different rate. Most importantly, it's best to give yourself to feel the way you need to feel, for as long as you need to feel it. Gaslighting is awful because it makes you constantly question yourself, and that's something takes a lot of time to correct. All the best on your journey :)

So I'm asian, and I watched a few of the 80s/90s/early 2000s bollywood films growing up. Dad hated them and never liked to let us watch them. My boyfriend is white, and is interested in helping me re-explore my roots in a way that isn't the toxic community or emotionally abusive abusive family I grew up in. One of these ways is watching these Bollywood movies with me, the ones I remember being really good, sweet, the love stories. I sit here embarrassed because EVERY SINGLE ONE of these films ha…

I read all of your comments in one, angry, breath. 10/10 would read again. Love is conditional. You have to be sorry in order to be forgiven. Being forgiven is not your right. Some things are unforgivable. Men are trash. Ameen.

I have to say, the worst ones I encountered were the ones who used religion as a means of control, especially him. In my experience most mainstream religions catalyse the notion that women are the possessions of their father, until he transfers that ownership over to her husband. There is shame surrounding female sexuality, yet boys will be boys. My parents (mom especially) said that I should always be the bigger person, turn the other cheek, and keep the peace - this would make me a better pers…
