So far it’s just been the standard discovery questions and interrogatories( finances) our marriage wasn’t that long and the only asset we split is the marital home. No kids, no retirement, no insurances. I don’t want to get greedy but still want what I’m entitled to at the same time. My attorney has always been cautious and not the gambling type and I appreciate that when it comes to my own finances. I’ll see what he says and instead of throwing a number out there I’ll request they give one inst…

Do it even if I’m 99% certain what assets she has?

Oh okay thank you! At the beginning she was stone cold no to mediation/negotiation, its been several months now so this threw me off; shes trying to buy me out to avoid court?

I didn’t sign it fully, I was given the pages out of order and the notary even stopped me when I said I don’t agree so I did not complete it. It was the week after we first separated so emotions were high.

I didn’t initial all the pages and she didn’t either

Signature or not, I thought it was incomplete and unnotarized means it doesn't count. I didn't sign every page. We went out of order in the page # signing process. The notary did not sign it after I read the last page.

No talking to her, no discussing this with her, she is no one to you now but a parasite. Lawyer, now, follow their advice their job is your advocate in these matters. Make sure they know to push this along and do not change your mind, check your emotions; this is a business matter now. The lack of intimacy is more than sufficient grounds for divorce if her words weren’t enough.

If you read and follow anyone’s advice here; let it be this guys and do it YESTERDAY I’ll add tell your mom to keep her house in her name until your divorce is final. You can pay her ‘rent’ in the meantime. She is less than a stranger to you, she dug her hole, emotions are tough but now it’s you and your kid.

I am glad the courts sided the right way with you! I got threatened with EP but, I filed a support hearing first cause despite the mortgage and title being in her name, she doesn't understand what marital property is along with claiming she makes a confirmed 3x as much as I do, on paper.

This too, its hindsight, but helping her only helped lawyers hurt you. As soon you both conclude you are 'done', she is nothing to you, there is no 'being nice' 'being friends' etc, she decided you don't mean anything to her. At most you are a parent if you have kids. Its hard to hear but, most of us have been in a place like it with emotions. My ex was back on the apps not even a week after she called it, its how they are. Consult with your lawyer , say nothing to her but, remember everything y…

What's worse, despite his 'sneaking' , your STBXW knows of the cameras and their field's of view. It would have been easier for her to unplug the router to spare you. This is taunting you because she knows you're so far away. Keep this image in your mind if you ever question going scorched Earth, and don't just wait for 'karma' to catch up with her, be the karma.

She's already told me she's going to file for an at-fault since it can be done any time without the mandatory waiting period. I've no response to this, I am letting my lawyer handle things. I am sure she can create scenarios where I was 'mean' but she was physically abusive. I believe that was the cause for the explosive anger, she knows she can't bully me into getting her way and didn't tell the lawyer our house was marital, she didn't even believe the police when they said I can enter the home…

Pendente Lite and Property Settlement Agreement. I've come around to the business approach being the best course forward for this, it wasn't my decision to divorce but, I'll make sure its done right.

Second I heard to the business transaction. I've had a lawyer, that's who filed and got the PL hearing served. Deleting the memories as we speak.

Texas is a big state and the careers vary widely. You've got many more options so it sounds like you got it down. Since you're a veteran, I'd research your benefits too, the VA has countless career fares and will certainly be a great help in getting you any LEO job. Starting a business that you have to rely on to live in a new place should be your very last option unless your savings can actually weather it but even then , why stress them if its not a billion dollar idea. Life can really throw c…

Your plan is great. I'm sure you know from your life experiences though to always keep a plan B-Z ,if you can prepare in time. What is your following plan if BPA denies you? What if you don't like how the job itself is? . I wouldn't agree with not getting married again but, you've signed your life away TWICE now, maybe keep that government contract out of things. Texas is a common law state if you prove the conditions so keep it in mind.

This is a question that’s worth spending $ on a lawyer! Seek actual legal advice even though you haven’t started the divorce process yet. That action will not just ‘look bad’ it could be both a waste of time and money and she will still have entitlement to the property and the value of it as well.

I was definitely thinking that, my family also told me better now then when there is kids involved because I would never see them and that would break my heart worse. I could not imagine children in the mix, they're truly innocent. Atleast as adults we have our faults. Kids don't deserve that. I'm showing Ms. Princess I can rough it out while she fornicates with other men as I described and that I am not just gonna sign and go away without what I am owed atleast.

She has dug herself in like a tick, to self reflect would be anathema. You are the villain no matter what proof there may be. With these kind of women, you need all the evidence you can to defend against their falsities. If your sisters know you as their brother, they will not believe this manipulative female dog regardless. Stay strong.

Narcissism is a disorder that is diagnosed by a professional. Like OCD and ADHD, it is so overused in describing someone that those that actually have it suffer. These disorders aren’t fun nor quirky. Your feelings are natural and valid and even your therapist can’t diagnose you with ND but they can help you understand what your feelings and thoughts are. Those with ND don’t question if they have ND.

Oh wow! It sounds like I got off light. I was offering up my GI Bill fully to her as I am not good in school and had she hung on for another year so could have gotten so much more but, that's her loss. I am not even considering sex at this point. Despite still being married, I know she's getting it because I have some sympathetic neighbors and it may come back to bite her since she has the mentality that just because she kicked me out that equals we're divorced but, its not what I'm focusing on.…

Oh no, it was my own fault for seeing their involvements as 'normal', they've been like this the entire marriage and I didn't set reasonable boundaries cause I thought they were nice. They are manipulating and transactional, not nice. Marry spoiled brats, get the attitude with the full backup of their enabling family.

They definitely are especially on the mental health side. Its not comfortable and I can't say I've voluntarily been in worse but at least sobriety is optional for the moment. I fortunately do not have kids I do not want to imagine the struggles of children in these. I am going one hour at a time at this point.

There is some VA programs I've reached out to but, by far most of the resources are 'Here's this shelter with limited space and hours, sux2bU' It'll be a worthy expense but, the only communication now is through lawyers, they're the true winners in this.

Irony is she told me her huge sob story of being cheated on by someone she was friends with. Therapy is also helping me with this too; discovering who I am and improving myself, for me. I cannot even think of dating much less a relationship at this point whereas stbxw was like a switch flipped, I did not even know who she was after seeing each other every day for years.

It was a minor surgery; there is no excuse on my part for my overthinking with emotion however, her family was definitely overinvolved and crossed some boundaries as far as being up our ass. I was not consistent because I took care of her throughout her recovery and did my best to make up to her. We bought the house during our marriage, I helped with the down payment. I have retained counsel and we're currently working on this. I won't let my judgement be clouded if there's a next time with some…

worse yet, it was a mutual agreement when we got together; respectfully, no contact with any of our exes. She was back on the apps not even a week later so I've been told.

thats precisely what i've been doing. im disabled and on a fixed income with not so great credit (thanks to my choices in the marriage and her advice). ive got a truck fortunately and dont mind the cold with some persuasion from my acquaintance jim. I know its not sustainable but, im making it through this.

Thank you really. The greatest emotion I am feeling is disappointment, mixed with sadness. I would have walked away if I hadn't been kicked out and 'broken up' with over the phone and I emphasized that.

My only fault was I let emotions and feelings of love hinder me from stopping everything right there and letting the hurt grow. She was colder than a stranger and my things were already packed by the time I came home. Needless to say I heard the news over the phone.

She apparently sent a letter to an address I do not live at stating she intends to file for exclusive possession. (Learned from MIL texting my own) I am remaining cautious as I know how easily spun DV can be against men and do not want to be seen as the aggressor.

it isn't, but i paid towards the home and its upkeep. My lawyer has already informed me of what marital property and my entitlements are. It will be a long process but, I know I will gain some resolution to this. She is playing victim, but I have proof. I am trying not to let emotions get the better of me at the moment, a little validation goes a long way at this point.
