In my opinion, there was a golden era of Jordan Peterson in the very beginning. Listening to his content genuinely put mine and my brother lives on a better path back around 2015, because he was tender but firm. He didn’t demonize laziness in the same way a lot of the harsh men around us were doing. He gave explanations, and a specific pathway out. Shortly after his skyrocket to fame however, he really sold out to the manosphere/hustle porn culture. This became much more pronounced after he soug…

…god forbid I express sympathy for the man’s ironic situation.

An introvert by definition finds social situations to be exhausting, as opposed to energizing like their extroverted counterparts. It doesn’t matter if they can act like an extrovert, they simply won’t have the energy or care to keep up the act, because they’re the ones who truly don’t care what others think. It is so much less about walking the walk than talking the talk. Unfortunately, men who‘ve truly got something going on rarely feel the need to prove it to other people. A woman has never g…

In my opinion, saying it’s a skill that anyone can master is misleading. It’s like saying any introvert can become an extrovert. What is often called “confidence” in this sphere is actually just being engaging and signaling. And if that’s not something you care to do on a regular basis, then suddenly trying to switch it on just for women is going to feel totally disingenuous. Personally, I just don’t think we need be pressuring men to feel like somethings wrong with them if they don’t care to sp…

The majority of dudes I knew to be most successful with women: Threw themselves at and fucked everything that moved (practice makes perfect). Lied their ass off to every woman that crossed their path (particularly about how committed to them they would be). Also had a tendency to grossly exaggerate the details of their lives to everyone around them. Carry a very superficial and transactional interest in other people. Don’t have confidence based in reality or competence, but have mastered it as a…

I don’t think this is trivial at all. We are constantly bombarded with the idea that an ONS is the criteria for what a successful social encounter looks like as men, and to not achieve this means you’re beta. This is an unreasonably high bar. The part of the conversation around sex thats missing is that it exposes us to so many hazards. I believe this is why higher rates of promiscuity are inversely correlated with education rates. As with any other kind of well-being, people don’t keep up with …

I think it’s the opposite. I just really feel like I’m bad at opening and bad at being playful.

I’m in a country band, and I do seasonal work in Alaska during my “offseason.” I run half marathons and workout. My trouble genuinely is marketing those things.

I’m going to opt with Number 2 and say I’m bullshitting myself on how often I really do approach women. It is truthfully a know-how issue, but it is also why I’m here. Thank you too for your directness as well!

No yeah, everything you’ve said is totally fair. When I say “total-package” it’s not to say I’m “complete” but to play more on “I have the a lot of the attributes that are conducive to being a great partner, why can’t I make this connect?” So-to-speak. I appreciate your directness!

Much as I value authenticity, I have to acknowledge that, like honesty, being 100% authentic 100% of the time isn’t always the most effective route for interacting with others, or keeping others on an even keel. There are ethical reasons to be fake, which is a lot of the realization I came to that has made me want to make a change. Being too honest and too authentic is burdensome.

Okay, given that most people tend to not read lengthier posts, I opted for conciseness. I find it ironic that you accuse me of being a toxic manipulator when all you’ve offered to me, a man who’s come humbly admitting both that he doesn’t know what he’s doing wrong and that he is unrightfully bitter about it, is criticism and telling me to be less toxic.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
