Anyone thinking of dating a single mom?At my age that’s pretty much the option (some rarities are out there…..but there’s typically a reason they’re single and no kids). Plus I’m not interested in dating significantly below my age (that tends to lead to “sugar daddy territory”). | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/12/22 01:52 PM
Does honest lawyers exist?Yes I agree. Hopefully some day more people will be adults and move on peacefully and wish others the best on their journey. | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/10/22 05:43 PM
Does honest lawyers exist?Yes they’re out there. Mine was uncontested. I did a thorough search of the surrounding area, looked at reviews. Contacted 3 I thought would work. The one I settled with was attentive upfront with cost estimate, had payment plans, and really the process was quite enjoyable to deal with. I did work with his paralegal in his office, but there was no mitigation or any other reason to complicate the situation. But my former spouse and myself had agreed upon everything prior to filling paperwork. So … | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/10/22 01:38 PM
Ex FIL harasses me in parking lot during drop off.Is a restraining order on the dad out of the question? More of a thought for the fellow commentators. But good job keeping cool and not falling for what seemed like baiting. | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/10/22 04:25 PM

Has anyone changed their mind?I would pause and realize any assumptions you have in your mind should not be the driver of your decisions stick to the fact that you weren’t happy, the path has been chosen. Best to stick to path of progress than regression. Stay up King! Enjoy the view on your journey, don’t mind the potholes or bumps, it’s the horizon we’re after. | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/10/22 03:43 PM
Feeling trapped in my life post-divorceShit man usually child support can be readjusted every year, you make less money your payment should go down. Plus being lower stress should better for you and kiddos. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/03/22 08:50 AM
I’m divorced. Officially.Man keep up that attitude. Similar situation here….and getting close to the end of waiting period, all paperwork is agreed and signed on. But yes it’s tricky picking the battles. Best of luck to you in your new chapter! And cheers 🍻 | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/01/22 02:26 PM
Hey it’s my cake day. I created this account so that I could get help from y’all.Keep it up my man! It is awesome to the support, definitely helps the process. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/10/21 11:55 AM
What should I expect to be the outcome in this situation?Yeah reached out to a lawyer locally, he said as long as we can agree on everything shouldn’t be an issue. STBX and myself have seen how fucked up divorces can go and how it effects the kids, we both don’t want to go down that road at this time. | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/10/21 12:22 PM
What should I expect to be the outcome in this situation? Thanks for the advice on contingency plans | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/10/21 02:22 PM
What should I expect to be the outcome in this situation?I hear that, her original plan was to move out. But things change obviously. Luckily we don’t own, just lease house. So I’d imagine it come down to who is taking over lease. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/10/21 01:48 PM
