She's not interested in you. If she was she would be chatting with you. Stop talking to her and move on.

I've been single for awhile for good reason. The dating world is, to borrow from you a cesspool. Meeting a genuine person who isn't carrying matched luggage filled with drama has been nigh impossible. Just live your life.. when it happens, it happens. I wish you the absolute best of luck! If you want to swap dating horror stories feel free to pm me.

You're on a tough road. The best advice I can give then, is when you are out bring social if you see a guy you like, approach, start a convo. Maybe it'll develop into something.

Yeah, I read your posts. Clearly you're really focused on your personal life (not a bad thing). If you really want a relationship you're gonna have to make time for one. I know OLD isn't easy. But, there are some decent guys on there, you just have to sift through the the BS. Or, make time to get out into some social environments. Check out Meetup for instance. You can sign up for activities that interest you and people without the pressure of dating.

Are you waiting for a guy to come along or are you proactive about meeting people? If you're giving online a shot are you reading profiles and initiating conversation or just sifting through what's in your inbox?

Miami is terrible. Lots of gorgeous women with no self esteem who aren't interesting who believe they deserve a guy who can give them the princess life they're entitled to for existing. Pass.

Is that spark important? It definitely is.. that spark can be the difference between going through the motions of life and really living your life.

Great post! I'm a storyteller. Everything reminds me of something that happened once even if it doesn't relate to the situation. It doesn't always get me laid, but it does get the attention of everyone in earshot.

I couldn't agree more. I never understood the hero worship of athletes. What have they done for anyone besides themselves?

It depends on what you want to do, but all of them will help you. In my case, if I wanted to keep doing what I'm doing now I could make six figures at a civilian shipyard. Getting laid is no harder than it is for anyone else, just avoid women in uniform. We just had a case where a guy was accused of rape twice. The investigation revealed she's a liar and an alcoholic.

Coast Guard here. It's not an easy life. If you enlist once you've attended A school, if you prove you're worth a damn you can be granted some serious responsibility. As an officer you have the potential to be in charge of your own ship as a Junior member. We're a small service, if you develop a bad rep news will travel fast. If you're awesome it will benefit you forever. I have friends I've met through the CG I'll be networking with for a job after I get out. Furthermore, don't get married. The…
