One highlight for me recently is being able to laugh at myself and let go of my own ego. I think a big turn off for people is when you get defensive over stuff that won't even matter in a day, a week, a year. Sometimes my initial response to someone making a potentially offensive remark about my appearance, my personality, or my intelligence is to get defensive or resent the remark. To add onto this, I highly recommend LISS type of cardio. It stands for Low Intensity Steady State. Essentially you do light but consistent cardio for at least a half hour. If you go to the gym, try riding a bike at a moderate resistance (one that you won't quickly get burnt out on) for a half hour, and trust me you'll end up sweating by the end of it while also burning a good amount of calories. It honestly doesn't matter who he cheated on her with in the end. Pointing out that it was with an older women undermines the real issue. Like you said, there was probably a few red flags before this happened. I recommend to OP that you really reflect on what was wrong with the relationship before he did this incredibly cruel and selfish thing to you. Did he ever bring up dissatisfaction with the relationship? Especially about sexual satisfaction? I know this is probably incredibly hurtful for y…

Maybe marry someone who isn't a terrible human and that won't happen.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
