The You Tube comment section? Really? Bullshit. I'm a woman and rape can certainty happen to men and boys . Beliefs like this is what keeps men from coming forward. Stop.it.

What? Absolutely not. Your body reacts naturally. He's 15!! An erection is not consent.

I have taken them to therapy. We discussed his addiction. I do not speak ill of him. We discuss how not all men are bad. I don't discuss negativity regarding men. We talk about people in general that do not fit our beliefs such as racists, etc.but not in men vs. women terms. I've discussed body autonomy, respect, choice and will continue to do so as they age through the teen years. Thank you for your suggestion and I will consider it.

You aren't the only good woman who knows. All men are not the same. All women are not the same. The best we can do is speak out and teach our kids differently as time goes on. When a family member said all men suck to my daughter, I had to explain that its not true and why it isn't right.

Single mom here. Raising 2 alone since 1 and 3. No support. Worked odd jobs. Got a degree. Working 2 and 3 jobs making life better for them. Now have a great job. They are teens now but doing well. Just starting, barely, dipping my toe into dating but really not sure. I will say you have my utmost respect sir. It is not easy and you have every right to be damn proud. It is men and parents like you that the world needs. Thank you for your service. I am sorry for your loss.

Ive been told a lot that "youd be prettier if you smiled". I think its more from people who base looks than anything else. Idk. I did have a guy tell me once out that be would have talked to me if i smiled. I had no idea who he was. I was out with friends. I wasnt looking for anyone. I just chalk it up to that guy and not a representative of all men. Eta NOT a representative of all men. its annoying to hear but im sure its just as annoying to men. So its not gender based

I would offer to pay my half on a first date if it was dinner. I'm a woman. Go Dutch and all that.

As a woman, if I had someone I loved and trusted, I'd love every inch of them. If she's asking, she's ok with it. My ex used to send them when we first got married. Sometimes it was foreplay when we were at work to lead up to some fun that night. I can only speak for me and some friends, but it's the pics that come from someone you don't know or don't want to know in that way (ex boss) that aren't liked. Really, talk with her about how you feel. I'm sorry you are made to feel shame with someone …

Yep. Hey I'm totally on board with anyone wanting to cry or express emotion. I will still respect his pain as sometimes you don't learn until you look death in the face how wrong you were. However, he was an asshole to a lot of people unnecessarily.

There's an Instagram page that fixes the headlines to be truthful. That's what this needs as it is totally ridiculous.

I think you should be loved because you are providing something, both men and women. I wouldn't want to love a man who provides no love or partnership to me, likewise, I wouldn't want a man to love me and I bring nothing to the table. It's unfair on both sides.

I feel sorry for the guy but his girlfriend is a POS and doesn't deserve a good guy. And those who are blaming him are shitwits.

I'm a woman, I agree with you. And yes, he should have said no. However Im guessing she may have gone off on him the same way which is still wrong. I don't this poor guy was going to be able to win whatever he did unless he gave in and he should not have had to do that.

None. I came out of an abusive marriage ten years ago and I still don't believe all men are horrible. I'm learning so I can teach my kids change and make things better.

As a 50F, this is just horrific. Please know, although it's really hard with society the way it is currently, that there are so many women who do not think this way.

(divorced 50female). I'm old school. I believe in respect between the sexes. I did grow up when females were considered second class. My mom couldn't get a credit card, or buy a car without having my dad there. Men would touch her on the street without any consequences. That's the stuff I wanted to see changed and it has been changing. Now I think its going to the other extreme. I just want to make sure my kids are respected and respectful and learn about both side.

When did door holding become a hotbed topic. I hold the door for for a man or woman behind me. I appreciate when someone does it for me too. Isn't the point to just not be an asshole and hold the door? Being a 50 year old woman who isn't a flaming feminist really has me confused about what is going on in the world.

I'm wondering if she has to say that to be supportive since her dad did or it's expected for her to do so. I love Will Smith but I think their marriage and child raising is a behind the scenes mess. I'm a 50 year old single woman but if I did something like this married, my kids would be embarrassed of me. I would expect them to be.

I wouldn't call myself a feminist. I would call myself a woman who just wants fair treatment for both sides. It's not black and white either. Right now I'm struggling with a friend who is all for men's rights, which is great and I'm supportive. But then he disparages women by making posts or saying things that denigrate women. Calling them whores, etc. Plus he sent a random dick pic recently to say this is how men feel when they get unasked for pics. I didnt send or ask for one! That's when my m…

Hi, woman/mom here. I've been reading/posting here a bit now. I find this sub to be informative and supportive. It really isn't what women in other subs want you to think. I was hesitant at first, but with time, you learn what this is really about.

But if this was a female or male teacher doing it in a school, it would be just as bad. It doesn't matter. They are older and in a position of authority.

Honestly I didn't realize not complimenting men wasn't a thing as a woman. I've done it my whole life. And now I'm 51 and a single mom and am thinking do my younger guy friends think I'm hitting on them lol. Joking. But if they look good in a shirt, got a fresh shave, why not compliment? I don't often get them, so i do feel good when it happens. So why not pass that on to others?

Gen x female. We wanted our rights. But you know, the important ones. My mom wasn't allowed a credit card in her name. I went car shopping at 25 and told to come back with my husband or boyfriend or dad because the salesman said he couldn't take me seriously. I wanted to be a paramedic and not get treated differently. I agree we've gone too far in the opposite direction. I hope the work I do with my daughter can help reel it back to equal respect and simple understanding. Also, how are you all h…

I remember a quote someone said to me once "If someone can't change something about themselves in 5 minutes, don't mention it." Meaning you can change your dirty shirt, but can't fix baldness. My ex husband wanted me to have long hair. It didn't matter it looked thin and awful. It had to be long because that was what makes a woman a woman. And that's not the first time I've heard that. I think we get caught up in what the image of what a man or woman should be. It's wrong. There's no true defini…

I have a special bag in the closet where I add school pics, report cards, art, etc. They know they are free to write, draw, or add anything to the bag on the basis that when the are 18 and if he chooses to contact them, they have memories or thoughts for him. Well that's BS. (not you, the idea.) I mean, extra responsibility? Working? Providing for your family? Stuff men do. No wonder men think us women are horrible.
/r/MensRights26/05/20 03:29 AM
5

I mean how? Granted I'm a single mom and have been raising my kids alone for a while. But even so, I wouldn't see how my rights are affected. For victims of domestic violence, men and women, this is a horrible time. But I manage to work, help my kids with school and keep my house clean. I do with without whining and wine. I don't know what rights I'm losing. If I didn't have certain rights before this pandemic, that would be the problem. And basically my problem.

As a single mom, I hate that BS. I have my day, today. It's difficult raising kids as a father or mother. My MD sucks ass because my young teens are selfish and it is what it is. Doesn't mean I get to celebrate FD. Even though their dad chose to stay out of their lives.

If one of my guy friends cried, or a loved one I think it's totally fine and would listen and help them. Now if I were dating again and the guy was a crying mess on the first date, no. I'd say the same if it was crying blubbering woman on the first date. Run man run.

I agree mostly. I was hurt badly but my ex husband due to drug addiction. So I am definitely sensitive at times to certain people and behavior. But what I see now is that often women are taught the response to fear of men is to gain an upper hand and hurt them, belittle them, use them. It's not the way to be and is showing men that we are to be feared. I just want to give respect and receive it in return.
/r/MensRights15/03/20 04:24 AM

I am.sorry that happened to you. Don't let her guilt you. Tell her no. Its hard to start doing it, but you don't deserve her behavior. Getting my nails done is a treat once in a while for me, but it always can be changed. She's being selfish.

My friends have them, but are more FWB type things. I'm in my late 40s, I'm just not a one night stand kind of woman. Really never was, personal choice. It's also because of risk of disease and danger. And we know all men aren't dangerous. But as men, besides #metoo, do you feel unsafe as far as violence going to a women's place?
/r/MensRights26/02/20 02:43 AM

I have 2 male friends that are very much MRA'S. Women and men get behind their messages when then post about issues. However they will both post anti women posts, call women hoes, etc. I think then the message gets muddied.
/r/MensRights23/02/20 01:02 PM

I'm female and feel this same sentiment. I've learned a lot. Putting down men is not the sign of a strong woman
/r/MensRights19/02/20 03:17 AM

Not necessarily. I work in a cancer related job and sometimes they use chemo, hormones, certain injections, etc first. Removing it may not always be the best solution. As a female, the pink breast cancer thing annoys me. Men get breast cancer too. On top of that, rectal.cancer is more common, affects both sexes and young ages. But boobs and pink are more marketable. I think prostate cancer should be out there too along with a bigger attention toward male breast cancer.

I'm single but hopefully one day won't be. I love to spoil my other half. And I'd be so happy with a guy who brought home a pizza. I bring dessert. And we watch a movie. Alas, I bought my kids chocolate and a chocolate covered strawberry for me and will watch Frozen 2.

She is known as Birdalamode on IG. Trust me when I tell you that she has a whole lot of women that can't stand her antics. We don't understand the women who support here. I believe there's a sub on r/blogsnark. Normal women do not support nor act like this.
/r/MensRights14/02/20 11:06 PM
2

Its not always that. There's many women who believe that you can't change the tide unless you bring attention to it. A post on Facebook for example about women and DV gets more attention than men. I think if women started helping in bringing issues like this to the forefront, it would be understood and normalized like womens issues Of course I may be totally wrong in my thinking here. In which case, let me know.

I'm a woman and im sorry to see this happening. I've been reading and posting. I find because of the topics here, I've really changed a lot for the good. I'm teaching my daughter's better so hopefully things can be different as far as the definition of feminism.

As a female, I will say I think pads should be more accessible. They are getting so expensive for something that is thrown away and is a needed product. Plus in my daughters middle school, she isn't allowed purses or bags in class. To run to your locker, to the bathroom, back to your locker, plus carrying everything in a clear bag can be embarrassing for young girls. Especially when the teacher is timing your absence.
/r/MensRights26/01/20 01:49 AM

I can't honestly. I don't think that would help either. A guy dressed in a suit in a profile could be a business man at work or a guy just dressed up for a wedding or something.
/r/MensRights19/01/20 07:25 PM
2

Yes. I tried online dating last year. I'm in my 40s so this was new to me. But I did get a number of dick pics. I did not ask either. I find that it was from the men who wanted just a hookup. It's like car buying. I think anyone, man or woman, sending an unsolicited nude is wrong though. There's some stanky overgrown vag out there.
/r/MensRights19/01/20 01:22 PM

Be body positive. Which is great. However for women it's yesss queen, love your body. A man is labeled a narcissist or too sensitive. And cry too. Normal for women. Men are told to man up.
/r/MensRights19/01/20 01:17 PM
1

Another woman here. I've been cat called, I'm not a fan. I'm not a raging feminist. It's just not something I care for. But I'm not going to stop and turn around and call the guy a dick either. I just move on with my day.
/r/MensRights19/01/20 05:33 AM

I compliment male and female all the time. I had a male/friend co-worker that I would compliment his eyes or hey nice haircut, or you look good in blue. He had a wife so I never stepped out of line. He said he wished his wife would compliment him. I miss having a SO. I loved doing things to show I cared and was grateful. Sorry for.the digress lol.
/r/MensRights18/01/20 10:58 PM

She's gross. Plus, transgendered children and people are generally harassed and bullied and many commit suicide. So her point is what again?
/r/MensRights18/01/20 10:47 PM

I'm going to guess that's what happened. There is a lot of positivity going on which is good. And then the same old garbage too

If you read the original interview in it's entirety, he says this too, "When you have power, you don’t take responsibility for abusing others. You enjoy the power. That’s the way it works in reality.” Which is a gross statement
/r/MensRights05/01/20 03:35 PM

Well, you just demeaned him there so? I gave birth. Is it hard and demanding? Yep. But it isn't the man's fault that I was the one born with the tools needed for the job. The one up game needs to stop and we need respect on both sides. There are bad men and bad women.
/r/MensRights05/01/20 03:28 PM

Give me a bigger guy anyway..not these kind.
/r/MensRights29/12/19 11:39 PM

I will second what she said. I'm female. When I don't subscribe to allll of the feminist topics and agree with men's rights I get told I'm not a real.woman. I don't think not wanting to show my titties in public makes me not real. I don't think paying for a.date makes me not real. I don't think standing up for a man when he is right makes me not real. But I'm ok with it.
/r/MensRights28/12/19 06:11 PM
12

If I was married I wouldn't expect to give him permission. He can do as he sees fit,.except the obvious, cheating, etc. But I could honestly say I'd like him to tell me where he's going so there's no worry or expectation on me for anything. You going to a day long football tournament? Cool just let me know so I dont think you went out for coffee and ended up in a ditch.
/r/MensRights28/12/19 06:05 PM

You aren't responsible for her decisions. She is. You did a good thing helping her. And instead of being grateful that you cared, she sent an unwanted pic. But you are in no way responsible for her behavior. Honestly if she called and said she was going to commit suicide, call 911. Let them help her.
/r/MensRights24/12/19 12:51 AM
13

Yeah im a.female and don't want to see any.pics unless I asked. That aside, women get very hostile when a woman takes nude pics.and they get leaked. Calling it an invasion of privacy. It should be the same for a man. It's wrong and a violation for that man.
/r/MensRights22/12/19 11:05 PM

I'm female and hope the darkness clears for you. I find it horrible when people say how selfish someone is for commiting suicide. If a terminal cancer patient does it, they want to get rid of the pain and are brave. Mental pain is the same. Sometimes just too much to bear.
