This is fantastic. Where can I find more of his stuff? It looks like he's doing some sort of radio show but a quick Google search didn't yield much more for me than his twitter and a couple articles. I was hoping to get some material for while I'm driving but I couldn't find a Podcast series or anything. Edit: Never mind, I found it. Free Speech by Stand Up NY Labs if anyone else is looking for it.

p. 467 of NSCA's Essentials of Personal Training: "Despite the traditional belief that resistance training was inappropriate or unsafe for children, the qualified acceptance of youth resistance training by medical and fitness organizations is becoming widespread (2, 5, 14, 22, 55)." That's commonly thought, but more recent studies suggest otherwise. I don't have sources with me, but I read about it last week in my personal training textbook. Resistance training even at prepubescent ages is beneficial. It doesn't stunt growth.
