I found websites corroborating that its fairly common. http://www.denversaic.org/help/victims-survivors/common-reactions-to-rape/ https://www.safeline.org.uk/fight-flight-or-freeze-how-the-body-reacts-to-danger/ https://medium.com/@laughtercrystal/silence-around-the-freeze-response-erases-the-reality-of-the-majority-of-sexual-assault-and-rape-a95f0157d2f0 Google freeze response in sexual assault cases for a ton more.

The helping fields are an expected touch which is a major point, when that contact is immidiete and unexpected in an agressive manner the situation chamges. I didn't mean catatonic I mean very little speech and resistance out of fear, is it really hard for you to imagine someone acting like this?

Even if its sommething like suddenly placing a hand on their upper thigh, a lot of people can just freeze up, especially women.

You know some women and men experience shock when they are suddenly assaulted right? But they dont resist or say no so it's consent, atleast from that view point.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
