Any stories of amicable separation? My "sock day" was yesterday. I think it was a pretty amicable divorce. We wrote out an agreement before we met with lawyers. Lawyers kept asking us to reconsider and do a full discovery of each other's asset. Went before the judge and asked us is this agreement what you wanted. We said yes and just like that 13yrs nothing but a memory. Custody is 50/50, didn't touch our 401ks, I keep the house but she got half the equity, she keeps the liquid (savings). At first I was sour cuz i put all my savin… | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/04/24 06:08 PM
I’m hurtingIt’s natural to feel this way given the circumstances and statistics. I have a son from my marriage and he’s been the reason I don’t completely think my married life was a waste. I would love another kid but I don’t want to be married again. | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/04/24 04:53 PM
PatheticI agree with most comments.. "why wait for her?" In my case she signed a lease, left the relationship and then asked for 6month trial separation. "Why play around with a trial? why not just end it" so I just filed on Jan and court appointment is this April. Life is too short to wait for others. Live the life you want. | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/04/24 02:51 PM

Single Divorced Men, how are you dealing with the void on Valentine's day?I went to longhorns and had a great dinner. Delicious baby back ribs with side of brussel sprouts and beer. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/02/24 03:54 AM
I’m doneGreat job reaching out to other people. We’re on the same boat at one point. Some, like me, are still going through the trenches of divorce. Make small changes in your day to not think about being “done”. I recommend taking a walk. Like a 30 min walk outside as the sun is coming up. It give me clarity and allows me to give gratitude to a new day in this world. | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/02/24 06:41 PM
