Its also extremely difficult to conceive as you approach your 40s as a woman as well. Sperm count also goes down in men as they age, but usually at a greater age then women. Both potential older parents increase chances for chromosomal abnormalities as age increases as well.

You know, Im a woman and Ive never been married and never wanted to be married. I never daydreamed about "prince charming" or wedding dresses when I was a little girl. So I can understand this mentality.

I dunno. Both my grandmothers worked outside the home when my parents were children. This was the 50s and 60s. One of them was a business owner. They taught their children that working hard is the only way to make it ahead. They both starting working at 13, my dad on a golf course, my mom in a restaurant. They worked all through my childhood. And, from what I could see, my childhood friends were im the same situation. I dont know what kind of primitive philosophies on gender roles you are lookin…
