Yeah, exactly this. The stats hint much more about female personality than “body count” — maybe there is a large number of women whose personality and beliefs are particularly loyal to their first partner and allow a very low threshold for rating “satisfaction in marriage”. These women likely display several other similar characteristics among themselves, not just low interest on sexual exploration. A higher body count is just one of many things that other women would display. They may have more…

Dude. Let her go. Let the pain wash in for one day. The next day will be better. You will learn you CAN HANDLE IT. You will survive all this and become a stronger man, owner of your own life.

You’ll need to accept you’ll be fine if you two break up, and let her know that. Only then you both will be aware that you’re the catch, not her. But if this is a LDR… you’re in it because you’re laying to yourself. Nobody can be healthy in a 7year LDR. You’re hiding as ler NMMNG states clearly.

Grid Diary is the best app for mission journaling. It offers templates that you quickly fill everyday. My template ie has “Did I fail shit tests today? How was it?”. Cuts time and is more efficient.

Most advice in the comments here is drinking from the source of “red pill military humiliation”, which is a cute cult-like tactic of breaking people down and becoming their own beam of light, but I’ll just give you constructive advice instead. To me (as a dad of two boys and a manager of seven grown men), the one who gives destructive advice (as “there’s nothing to do now”) has failed to provide constructive advice. So here it goes. People rarely react well to “unsolicited advice”. But they do r…

I can relate to these examples, and the result of ignoring them with stfu is quite engrossing to the perception of you as a manly man. As if in those moments you are morphed into a big wild bear, calmly going your way towards your honeypot, over the kitchen, ignoring the squirrels around you and just going about your own business. This unshakable, impervious characteristic of the man is to me the core effect of the stfu, making you less accessible to her, and thus more mysterious. Does that make…

This is it, they get more manageable and they get also less frequent, but they are part of the dynamics. I too had massive difficulties in accepting that this is marriage, and then intense feelings of being perhaps happier alone. But keep consistent, they do get easier, and the joy of being with your wife starts to overshadow these chores.

Thanks, I’ll review those. Not sure how to use 123 magic with wife, but hardly our troubles come from keeping boundaries, it’s more to the effect that I set them in a manner that makes her upset. Often the conversation comes to “you’re not taking my feelings in consideration”, or “you’re rude”, or “you’re cornering me” (this last bit it’s only when we have rational argumentations).

40M, 180m, 70kg, 12%BF, 150g protein/day, 2250KCal/day, workout 3-4x/week + Brazilian Jii-Jitsu. Read NMMNG, 48 Laws, WOSM, Rational Male, YISNIFG. So I’m pretty divided if my marriage can be fixed or not. I went through the first changes when reading NMMNG a couple of years ago. I learned to set boundaries and not engage in covert contracts. I fail occasionally shit tests, but also learned to take things more lightly and create a better mood. Failed test this week was about not agreeing we need…

How did you decide that a separation was the best course of action? We are currently considering this but I keep thinking it’s my fault because of failing shit tests. Like, today a massive fight because I said that the Covid test swab was not deep enough in our 3yo. She said I should be supporting her. I get the principle of always make her feel good instead of arguing/debating, but this…? Anyway, I’m pretty divided if I can now what is and what is not simply my failure or the relationship itsel…

Thanks. It’s good to hear some perspective. I found a good article about it in a sub, but I believe I get the principle. This process I described is also about individuation. It’s just so counterintuitive considering our culture that it takes time to sink in, and it slips away, at times. Thanks for the support.

Thanks. I’ll look into that further. I got real good flow with most the shit tests by now, and also with keeping they spark on the day to day. Man, it was a real shift for me. An image that helped me a lot was to think I need to create a room, a space within my mind where I plan how to act outside. Like a pilot in a ship. That was like turning a button. Suddenly I stopped being sloppy at home, I’m no longer clumsy, I speak more assertively and I don’t drop food out of my plate anymore (used to b…

I think my failure in STFU is whenever I reply rudely. I don’t even see it as rudeness, but she’ll argue to death I was.

I get it, and there’s probably more I can do. The situation happens when I don’t successfully STFU and she gets sour. Then the more I hold the frame, as in not acknowledging her mood, the more she does it. We can go 2, 3 days with that passive aggressiveness. We’re now on vacation and that warfare kind of wears me out. Should I just ignore and really pay no mind?

It’s a good forum but there’s an annoying coach and some admins there that are questionable. But the book is great and there’s some good convo there too.

I’ve been active in NMMNG, but not here. I lift 4x week, 1.80m/70Kg, 12%BF plus practice of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Caloric intake at 2200KCal, 150g protein, tracked for 6 years. I’m actually quite a hunk lol

Hi, we are now starting to contemplate more seriously the possibility of divorce. I had to say a million times that if we want the marriage to work, we need to put effort in making it work. I think this is the “secret” for many of our parents and grandparents generation, to be honest: the idea that life is a lot about hard work, not that you can hop to a new marriage if it doesn’t work well. I not saying every marriage can be saved, but I’m saying that she is giving up without trying, and that b…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
