Cool oversimplification. Hope it's made through reading comprehension.

I can't take y'all seriously because The Pill analogy was created by trans-women and you pretend they didn't (or if they even exist) and you have the audacity of posting AI-generated "takes" which is literally the actual real-life "Matrix" since it's machine-made. Like??? Can you guys not SEE and UNDERSTAND the absolute irony of it all???

Being stricken with grief from losing a parent and not having the mental or emotional faculties to deal with a toxic relationship is not "playing the victim". You are clearly unempathetic.

You're assuming so many things about me despite being strangers on the internet. The ex-girlfriend has confided to me, she was at her wits end, many things were working against her and she just lost her mom. I chose to look after her because I genuinely think it was the right thing to do. I look after my brother by not coddling him when he does wrong and offering guidance when he makes bad decisions. I do not protect nor reward morally and ethically bad actions. Blood ties be damned. If you were…

I'm loyal to my own principles. I love my brother but that doesn't mean I'll just sit around and watch him hurt loving women. He's still a bad guy, I'm just related to him.

I was shocked to find out one of my brothers is a serial cheater. I told his last girlfriend to dump him. I would accept him being promiscuous openly than try to cheat on women that genuinely like him. He's got many things working for him so he's not struggling to get women, but he might not be for long-term relationships.

Not anyone's business. So I'm not answering that. If truly most men "are good" then there might be other factors working against those "good" men. Maybe take a step back, recalibrate and asses yourself about why your methods aren't working. Ask women who know you (if you have them in your life) for pointers, ask people who are in successful relationships, listen to anyone else other than red-pill grifters that feed you dogmas that keep you tethered to rockbottom so they can continue to attention…

I'm posting the link here for the article I quoted from: https://www.unodc.org/unodc/en/press/releases/2025/November/137-women-and-girls-killed-every-day-by-intimate-partners-or-family-members-in-2024.html

Women's standards should be high because they have higher possibilities of getting killed by the men they choose to engage with or having their health forever altered by pregnancy. It makes sense.

If they're already like that then I'm not talking about those guys. There are women who do choose very wrongly. I'm talking about the guys that peacock at the beginning of a relationship and reveal their abusive streak only after they get comfortable. Which is, based on my limited observations, seemingly more common.

Bruh. Bruh So many women here shared their stories. And that's your response?? A very quick internet search about misogynistic practices EVERYWHERE, in every country, in every industry will land you thousands... Millions of stories. People are rarely shocked at news about women gruesomely murdered by men now. I never said men don't have it hard. I really don't want to believe that the majority of men are like that too. I fight developing misandrist tendencies, but I will never ever look down upon women who have succumbed to it as a reaction to the very many men who have wronged them. It's so very hard to see men in the same light as when I did after encountering this sub. You bend that the way you want. Interesting example you've chosen. Misogyny makes men kill, exploit, abuse, traffic, gaslight, entrap and hurt women. Misandry is just women going out of their way to avoid men. There is a huge difference between them.

I'm reading local news reports from where I am, so they're a mixed bag of information. I've also just seen and experienced more bad interactions than good ones. I'm so pessimistic about it honestly. I loved teaching, I thought I was gonna retire as an educator. The best thing we can do at the moment is to make literacy culturally "cool" (I am not against the more performative trends relating to reading, whatever gets the kids to read I am for it) but also not make it elitist (we need to be united and consistent about it too) and engaging in art and creativity as part of the process and hope it works. I'm hoping on the neo-Renaissance.

That's something I see on the regular over here. I quit being a teacher mostly because the stress of teaching things to students who didn't even have the fundamentals of reading down made me so very ill. I'm so concerned it's happening to adults my age or a little bit younger than me. Language is such an important part of communication, using words that have subjective meaning to each other breaks down a bridge supposed to connect us.

There are many extensive studies that link hand to paper journaling to better internal monologue cohesion, memory/information retention or mental organization. I highly recommend watching Ryder Carroll's (creator of the bullet journal) TEDx Talks from 8 years ago talking about the writing habit. You don't have to bullet journal as it doesn't work for everyone, but just take what's useful for you out of his process.

She doesn't need to worry about me since she raised me well and taught me solid dos-and-don'ts. Like how not to generalize people I know nothing about. Parents are humans too. There's still room to grow and discover for them as well in their lifetimes. They're allowed to change, they're allowed discovery. They're allowed to see their children differently under developing circumstances. Especially if their kid grows up to be a menace despite their well-wishes.

Opinions - Like buttholes, everyone has them. They are not fact. The existence of buttholes are a fact tho. It's okay to have a preference for the people you want to be with. I think what most well-meaning people just want to see when people state their preferences is the decency to not make fun of other people who exist outside of that preference.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/25 08:03 AM

Why would some people's personal preference for a partner be proof that the whole population of their gender can be generalized as "shallow"? Yeah, a lot of women online say they like tall guys. A lot of those women being interviewed are pretty and might be taller than the average too. Or maybe those kinds of opinions are louder than what the actual common preference is. Isn't it more shallow to assume immediate shallowness of the people outside of you just because you don't want to understand o…

Oh my gosh, is banging our heads a common thing? I try not to tell people around me about it, I live in a country that chains the mentally-ill in out-houses or pig pens and wait for them to "pass away peacefully" - masking became essential to my survival. I used to bang my head on walls and doors whenever I was frustrated by things I don't understand and interactions I misunderstood. I've had friends recommending me to pad my walls and my table out of concern.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/25 11:35 PM

I'm an autistic woman: I'd like to share that some of us are also prone to rage - especially when young. I was one of them. I used to use my anger to motivate me to do stuff - breaking things gave me a lot of relief from my stress. I was an angry child, then became a spiteful teenager - I didn't understand my own awful emotions, it would make me shut down. I also scored very low on natural empathy during psych evals, I had to put in a lot of time and effort to learn socialising since I got a job…

They do, just not BAD men - kind women know and understand very well that "not all men" are bad, but the vigilance is necessary for survival. They will protect and prioritise the weak individual in the context of a dangerous situation, and unfortunately most of the time it is another woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 03:40 AM

Useless info of a response since I'm a minority within a minority: autistic asexual. I'm not supposed to "work".
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/25 01:12 PM

I understand a little bit, I guess. The one and only relationship I got out of my multiple friendships only happened after 7 years of being friends before any romantic feelings ever blossomed - and I doubt, in this economy, that many would be willing to wait for something to happen or not happen for 5+ years.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/25 07:12 AM

There are some studies that popped up when I casually typed about friends to romance relationships. Also, I don't think it's bad faith, or I hope it isn't, when people advice other people to make establish genuine friendships.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/25 06:58 AM

It seems like it really doesn't happen as often. Or as often as we wish it did. It is quite ideal to have a warm and friendly interaction with men before anything serious to fight off the initial feelings of uncertainty or maybe even the general fear of men. Some more extroverted women might want that novelty factor, that's a fair guess. I also know some women need the sense of familiarity going on to start warming up to someone.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/25 06:46 AM

This is an acknowledgement to all the replies to my question. Thanks for your good faith responses, you guys. I've read each one but I've no proper response for all of them, I'm afraid.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/25 06:40 AM

It's anecdotal, but I had more guy friends in college (I joined a geek club) and I may not have slept with any of them but I've "wingmaned" for 3 of them to get together with my other girl friends. It helped when I sort of vouched for how nice they actually were to set my girl friends' minds at ease in the initial stage of their getting-to-know each other. So sometimes it does work. I hope it still does out there.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/25 06:33 AM

😑 reluctantly nods in autistic woman confirmation and partial agreement 😑 It's easy to "pass" when no one assumes there's something wrong with me and I can hide under the guise of a shy-girl trope. People assume I am shy when I do not want to communicate or have no desire to connect with others in the group. History is important. History teaches the current developing societies lessons of what works and why we have to further develop in certain directions. History looms over us all. It's a statement beaten close death: "Those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it." It is a wisdom that guides many towards enlightenmemt and continues to ring true over the ages.

Historical records would confirm that only the elite men were given importance in society. People of lower social standing were all treated as expandables by the elite class for centuries in many cultures. I would like to disagree on the "nothing has changed" statement since in this day and age, there are some places in the "developed" world that allow the commonwealth, men and women, to live with some dignity and not be treated as cattle.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/25 06:34 AM

Huh? Huh? Straight women like the male form?? Because that's what being a straight women is about. They do (not that they can do anything about it). They're attracted to the male form, just most likely not attracted to who they are as people.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/10/25 11:50 PM

Unconventional looking women get no bodies to add to their counts too. Lotsa lonely unconventional looking women out there that talk about how rough it is for them. Not trying to make light of the plight of lonely sex-starved men, just being fair about the "ugly duckling" girlies out there too. A lot of people are not fucking. A lot of people are undesirable to the commonwealth.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/10/25 02:30 AM

Nah. I meant "person". All-inclusive, all encompassing term for a someone.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/10/25 02:14 AM

Nah. Never had a hookup before, probably not gonna have one ever. Not an appealing choice to me but I'm not against it as a choice to be made for other people. I tend not to be too judgemental about personal choices done that harm no one (but maybe themselves - I think it's a little bit human to be self-sabotaging from time to time).
/r/PurplePillDebate13/10/25 02:12 AM

Not really "superior" in an objective sense. In a positive light it's just an okay enough short-term solution to a lot of people in complex situations that desire to have uncomplicated carnal relationships. One way or another, it's going to be mostly a phase for the majority of the people who participate in it. Many aspects of the hookup culture aren't the most sustainable choice for the average person.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/25 03:44 PM

They're convenient to some people. They're not a relationship that requires emotional effort for both parties when handled maturely enough.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/25 03:27 PM

Lotsa women like sex. One of the factors why we had such a rapid increase in the world's population the past 100 years. Each person that wants to have sex just has subjective tastes and maybe, just a maybe, many people don't tick enough boxes to qualify for coitus. There's oh so many factors why no one is tripping over themselves to touch you - Maybe a reason is your love for generalisations of women AND men (as ace and demisexual men also exist that don't care for sex or even the casual human s…

The actual plot of Barbie includes the crucial point that Ken is enough. That he isn't just Barbie's accessory and can have a complex existence with other people or by himself, that he does not need her validation to be a worthy person. He used to think he had to center her because he was "made for" (literally, as they are toys) her, but that was a short-sighted view he had of himself. The movie shattered that vision of Ken. His existence had intrinsic value. Always did. He is Kenough.

Anecdotal. My aunt has been a nurse for 30+ years. She's told a bunch of stories about wives in critical conditions or diagnosed with difficult to treat illnesses with husbands that barely care/never showed up/or started affairs. The couples' ages range from late 20s to late 60s.

Man. Some people realize they're not gonna be good parents. I'm including myself in this demographic, but a lot of us in the subreddit potentially would be horrible parents - that doesn't stop us from wanting to be in a relationship and share our lives with someone. People are complex. Women are people. Women are complex and can have very niche personal life purposes. Women aren't just baby-making bots.

Men's prominent sexual preferences are the reason why the advertisement mantra "sex sells" exists. Prostitution being one of the oldest professions worldwide is also a result of having such a robust demand from the market predominantly composed of men as patrons. Just looking back into history is going to disprove everything you wrote here. A justified pushback from the women, who rightfully so, do not want to be sexualized is not really going to make a big change that's going to be substantial …

Just because you have strongly held views, it doesn't equate to objective "reality". There are other people who exist on this earth. There are other life purposes aside from having children. Women are not only for child-birthing.

Most feminist men I was friends with for brief times were just guys who genuinely cared about other people. They give me hope. I've lost touch with most of them (met most of them in academic circles that I am no longer part of) but I have no doubts they're still feminists to this day - because they do not believe in the things they believe in purely for self-gain, it's just because they think it's the most reasonable set of beliefs they want to align themselves with. A lot of women defend men, that's why society is the way it has been for eons. Many women will forgive men. Many women will love men irregardless of what they do and who they are. A lot of women center men. Maybe not some of us in this subreddit, but a lot of women in the real world will, do and always will do so. A lot of those other women will tear down other women for sport, when the opportunity presents itself. I don't see much men defend women though. I really don't (and I'm sadly sure many…

I think friendships have certain levels of platonic chemistry to them, so it doesn't matter if it's a man or a woman- some of the best friendships one can develop might be found in the most unlikely of people. Some people really just click. Just in case you're looking into it again: The online tests are not the most accurate, and the popular ones are based on outdated (1980-90s studies and data) expectations of what extroverts and introverts are. Better to get typed by a specialist or an independent-scholar in these systems.

Many of us are poor. Many of us are scared of possible debt tied to having and raising children. There's probable debt in the future if one does not recover well-enough from childbirth and immediately get back to work. "Real man" is never an objective thing and most of the time the expectations of what a "real man" can do are unreasonable in this day and age. People are already real - what they could fake are aspects of themselves. You're your real self. Men can choose who they wanna date as well, and if they don't want to deal with other people's children they should be allowed to avoid whoever for whatever kind of reason - there's nothing bad if they're avoiding since no one, hopefully, is being harmed.

That is not what "nuanced" means and you should know that. Now, I don't really have dating app experience, but is it possible that those women who have the "same complaints" are the prominent (I'm saying this as they're probably the popular profiles) minority (let's put an imagined percentage of 12-15%) of women on dating apps that get the majority of attention from the same group of men that seek out idealized traits and facial features? Probably a huge majority of women who aren't supermodel type of beauties get ignored on those apps.

Circumsicion of infants is an unnecessary mutilation. If a man wants to be circumcised, it's his phallus, he should decide to get it done or not. Isn't it like a religious covenant or something? What if the kid grows up to be an athiest or wants to be part of a different belief system?

Wish they would just platonically date each other if they're not gay but also hate all women and are deathly afraid of loneliness.

Bruh, if you guys keep saying "not all men" as a chant shouldn't "not all women" be part of your logic too? You sound like you've been unloved for who you are because of who you are.

Huh?? Do you know the meaning of the words you typed? Are you talking about bisexuals? Bi-romantic people? Pan-romantic people? Cause they exist.

Just because they want to. There's a lot that actual feelings of love towards a person can do. Also a lot of women (I'm not including myself since I'm unfortunately not a romantic person) are so very much full of love they want to give it away. They're just caring, they're nurturing, they're genuine givers - they just want to do a lot for their chosen partner BECAUSE THEY WANT TO. There are people out there that will stay with their chosen person despite having other options - men and women.

I think someone has to be so very jaded to no longer keep track of their bad impressions. Their social sensitivities are so dulled from loss of hope in humanity. The very fact that they're angry or showing discontent actively might be an indicator that they're still holding on to some sliver of hope towards an improvement of their situation. Just a guess tho. Humans are peculiar creatures, even to each other. I know men who have had bad impressions of their relationships with women (and call maj…

To a certain degree, it probably does. Highly depending on one's circumstances. Bad impressions are kinda hard to overcome for a lot of people. It is probably more easy to dismiss for women who are in favorable situations and have very good+healthy relationships with the men in their lives, whether it is their spouse/partner or family members.

Just gonna name stuff in Asia: *There's much less daughter-murders in Asian societies. Baby girls used to be killed en masse due to the preference for sons. *There's also less child-brides, so less little girls die by being basically raped by much, much older men legally. (although, there is a significant number or weirdos wanting to defend this practice) *There's been an increase in sexual education among tbe youth. *More people are understanding of serious mental health issues (although access…

OP was providing nuance from her own perspective, there's a subjectivity to all of the posts here. A POV that one does not have access to, isn't something one could effectively elaborate upon. This isn't a creative fiction writing competition. I don't know why this would be considered "tone-deaf"...
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/24 05:18 PM

Write it for yourself then 👍 But I think it's clear for the more cool-headed people reading OP's post that she did not write "it to feel superior to most men" but to hopefully explain clear cut rejections women give out and the fear of being harmed by the men who receive such rejections.

OP was so very clear. Rejections are so very clear. The politeness she had to deliver the message was so very clear and felt. Read it again. Or do you need someone to hold your hand while comprehending clear statements? What is too hard to understand?

"You feminist women" - men can be feminists too when they subscribe to the ideas of intersectional egalitarian humanist philosophies. Men can totally cultivate this if at least 25% of you strive for it. Or at least talk about it amongst yourselves. And as someone who is indigenous (I'm from a tribe from the deep mountainous regions of Agusan in Mindanao, Philippines), there is still a pride in a cultural and/or contextual idea of what masculinity is. It definitely exists out there from outside m…

Why do women, who aren't even at the top of society, or even treated as human beings in other countries and cultures, the ones you look to to make this an event? Baffling. What are the criteria for something to become an "overwhelming trend"? I think, that because of our dependency on the internet, we get to witness the worst of the worst very easily (whatever that is in our personal standards), and because of the current algorithmic outputs on sites like YouTube or other social media, we are overwhelmingly shown content that we already subscribe to. Probably, there is no "overwhelming" trend in relationships, there are just recorded statistical majorities that ar…

Never been to a Disneyland. I live in a third-world country in Asia that doesn't update a lot of the rides for budget issues, so we're pretty much still on 1963 (or at least 1980s) standards for the carnival rides.

I didn't have that much standard for looks (as long as they weren't morbidly obese, since I enjoy carnival rides with people and those have weight limits) , but I knew I wanted to be with someone intelligent, have "productive and enriching" hobbies that he could do on his own without being clingy AND be emotionally understanding (or had the desire to become emotionally understanding and patient). At a first date they are concerned for their safety and comfort. In a blooming relationship they mostly seek out a geniune spark of attraction and maybe a dash of passion. They keep asking us this clarifying question, we answer, we give our reasoning, we give the context and cite studies. And we still are NOT BEING BELIEVED. If a bear mauled us in the woods, we'd be believed. We won't be asked what we were wearing. We won't be denied the horrible reality of that situation. We are cornered by the ugly truth of men and our experiences with them, and so we choose the bear.

My only issue is that a sizeable percentage of them have chosen to come here to SouthEast Asia. We're getting more and more weary and tired of the ones that are overly eager - I've encountered some culturally-insensitive passport bros that expect us, the locals, to cater to their every whim. They're playing stupid games, in a land that is not their own. Oh, and I hate that the pedos fly over here too, hiding under the cloak of being a passport bro.

I didn't make the theoretical question, someone else did. He chose to ask women. They all intuitively understood it as a theoretical situation of a known and acceptable danger vs. an unknown but heard about danger. And they answered. A huge majority chose the bear. It's not an offense to men, it's a concern for self-preservation(to a certain degree). Yes, both are dangerous. But, as someone poignantly put it into words somewhere else in the internet, at least if the bear killed her: "people woul…
