Wow... No I don't have anything against gay rights, I'm bi myself. Disney not supporting the Boy Scouts due to their anti-gay policy is a good move. I just don't think the post is appropriate for this sub. Gay men being discriminated against being gay is a lgbt issue. gay men being discriminated against being men is a men's rights issue.

I'd consider Jazzeki's response satire. His point is that the "think of the children" argument is often used to silence men when they object to providing financial support for a child they never wanted or get to see. His response is crude because many men speak to each other in that manor. His response isn't pleasantly presented because he's sick of hearing hypocrisy from the other side... like most men are.

In Canada? What article? Shit's legal here. Until recently the act of solicitation or opening up a brothel was deemed illegal but that got overturned by our supreme court. I disagree. If the information is out, what's there to stop "blogger-journalists" from posting information anonymously and not being held accountable for that? What about phrasing information in such a way that doesn't explicitly slander the accused but gives out enough information to allow the public to form an erroneous interpretation? Can the media be charged for that? What if some fucking white-knight takes it upon themselves to assault or kill the accused before a verdict is reached? No amo…

Before anything else, the accused identity NEEDS to be confidential until a verdict is given and no further appeal is made. This prevents your life from being destroyed by a false accusation. Once that's in place... I'd say criminal charges over using the accuser.

Yes absolutely! You are responsible for the kids living expenses, but they're not THAT expensive. Furthermore, the reason many people like the OP are upset is because it doesn't swing the other way. Why doesn't the mother pay the father for support if she has a larger income? If she can't afford to take care of the child on her own then why is she being given the child in the first place?

I remember reading an article in which some US state changed is parental assistance to not provide additional child support over 2 or 3 kids. The amount of children single mothers had dropped suddenly. Make no mistake, many women have children because they KNOW the state will assist them.

Not to mention that the POINT of alimony is to cover a woman's living expenses since, presumably, she devoted her time to her husband rather than furthering her career or skill set. This sounds like they both had careers, she lost her job and doesn't want to bother finding another one.

This very same thing occurred to one of my buddies. He got completely screwed over, can't see his kid, and she's living off of his income. I think the purpose of the MRM is to prevent this in the future. But we still have a long road ahead of this.

Please correct me if i'm wrong, but my understanding is that divorce is considered a process under law and not a punishment. A contract termination rather then a breach of contract. Legally, it doesn't matter if someone cheated on you.
