0	Gender double binds are a headache for men issues. I don't think that's the take away. As gender essentalist as it sounds sex tends to be complicated in general and perhaps more so for women. But I don't think that means it's impossible. Just that people have to learn more about boundaries and how to be a good partners to each other. While I agree a lot of men are on the recieving end of a list of toxic expectations along with women, jumping to opting out enterly seems extreme. They're just trying to illustrate even from a non-ideological standpoint it's all messy. I do agree though that it basically gives men three options. -1	Gender double binds are a headache for men issues. I think broadly speaking feminists are dismissive towards "men's issues" and frames them around pushing accountability for men's issues onto men. I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with that. And I think there is a spectrum to how relevant various gender political rhetoric is. Believe it or not other feminists don't like me and I came here after realizing a lot of feminists spaces are too hostile to dissenting opinions. I still use the feminist label because it mostly describes my opinions. 2	Have you noticed how every "Living with ADHD" article is based on a woman? It comes down to gender normativity. I agree the bulk of research on Autism and ADHD was done on men and as a result women were underrepresented in stats. As for women being more open, I agree. Patriarchal standards basically limit men's expression and society views strange men as threatening so they are more likely to be ostracised and need help. Men are statistically less likely to go to doctors and seek help so from an industry standpoint it makes more sense to make products that cater to their main clientele and market it that way. 1	Muslim men in the west are victims of misandry as well I do think there are problematic aspects of traditional middle eastern culture like most cultures. And I'm not a big fan of religion in general. But it does seem Muslims get a disportionate amount of scrutiny that alienates them and there is an intersection between race, gender, etc. Men of racial minorities are often demonized in media and even positive portrayals can be objectifying. 41	Once you see it you can't unsee it To be honest that has always been the biggest limiting factor for left wing movements from growing. Instead of pooling time and resources it becomes a battle to see who's concerns are addressed first and a lot of moving the goal post. I think there was this false sense of unity during the Obama administration that fizzled out. 2	How can I apply my Law Degree to the cause? Become a public defender or take on cases for young men with limited criminal records. A lot of people will be in and out of the jail over the course of their lives. But the more of them that get a solid second chance early may grow up to be fathers and husbands or just do more for their community. Like a ripple effect.
