From a MRA perspective, what are your thoughts on employers paying for Birth Control under Obamacare?I prefer to think of it not as a benefit for the individual, but a benefit for society. The people who cannot afford birth control are the last people who should be having lots of kids. Cut off the programs which make having tons of kids as someone who shouldn't viable. No free healthcare of any kind for them. No WIC, no free school lunches, no foodstamps. | /r/MensRights | 03/10/13 12:41 AM
From a MRA perspective, what are your thoughts on employers paying for Birth Control under Obamacare?I don't care who you are, or what gender you are. If you want birth control, pay for it yourself. If you can't afford it, do without. You are not owed birth control merely for existing and having genitals. | /r/MensRights | 02/10/13 12:27 PM

Was this a mail-order thing, or did you just know a lot of ukranian women? All of the women being from the USSR was just coincidental. I don't know a super high concentration of people from there. She moved from the Ukraine to an area of Oklahoma with a pretty high concentration of people from the Ukraine, none of the other women I dated were from that area. If you belong to a group which statistically costs insurers more, it's perfectly fair for them to charge more, until they've established a personal relationship with you. That is unfair and discriminatory, so why is it okay to do it on the lines of gender? Because people of different genders cost different amounts on average. I'm fine with gender specific rates. | 15 | How does MensRights feel about affirmative action? Is it on/off the table as a measure to achieve equality? Discuss.Feels bad man. Giving someone an advantage when applying for jobs or school is unfair to the people who get skipped over due to the advantage. It is also unfair to the person who gets the advantage, because when they start school/work, they will immediately be perceived as that incompetent affirmative action hire/student, who wouldn't have gotten in otherwise and probably won't cut it. | /r/MensRights | 23/03/12 06:12 PM |

I have a very independent and strong mother, but she has the most interesting view on women's rights and feminists, and male rights for that matter. An English major isn't about memorizing books and quotes - its about learning rhetoric and being able to structure written works well and clearly/persuasively. Again, something you don't have to be an English major to do. English majors are more employable than Business majors fyi - their degrees set them up nicely for any sort of white collar work as well as pre-med, pre-law etc. Hooray, one major is more useless than another useless major. Uhm, even in STEM you need to be able to write well if you want to get anywhere (yes, science is writing too!) and a lot of that foundation knowledge starts in English classes and we all still rely on our English faculty colleagues/friends for tips on sentence structure and structure. You don't need to waste your life reading ancient myths and writing emo poetry to write coherently. I don't think OP's mom was talking about scientists when she complained about professors. EDIT: nvm, read comments by OP. He derped out. | 3 | Young boys being failed by the school systemLets assume everything you are saying is 100% correct and that your proposed solution is 100% correct. A group with anything less than a 2:1 girl/boy ratio should be dissembled by the teachers. That's impossible, unless two times as many girls as boys are in a class. If you wanted to implement it nationally, you'd have to have two times as many girls as boys in schools, which isn't possible. | /r/MensRights | 15/03/12 07:43 PM

They hate MRAs because we are anti-feminist. An article about how it's cool to hit an obnoxious woman, because women are beneath men and are actually sexually attracted to violence isn't anti-feminist, it's anti-woman. For the women, it just means that they can marry someone and be housewives (which is legit if both parties want it that way), or they can have a baby and live on perma-welfare. For the men, it means welfare, or homelessness since our culture doesn't give men the "marry up and be a homemaker" option. | /r/MensRights | 24/02/12 08:40 PM |
Illegitimacy becoming the norm - Yahoo! NewsIt's not. I agree with you. There is a definite double standard. If a woman is poor, uneducated and jobless, you should marry her for love. If a man is poor, uneducated and jobless, you should avoid him, he's a creepy loser and you deserve better. This is more of a societal problem than anything related to the government though. | /r/MensRights | 24/02/12 08:37 PM
Illegitimacy becoming the norm - Yahoo! NewsI think we can help reverse this with a couple of things: Shrink the "safety net" so it can't be used as a "safety hammock". If it is economically harder for single breeders to exist, there will be fewer of them. Increase access to, and education about contraceptives. Pills and rubbers cost less than a new person. Easier access to abortion. A government subsidized abortion is a lot cheaper than a government subsidized child. | /r/MensRights | 24/02/12 08:35 PM

Santorum is a theocratic freedom hater. Gingrich is a moron and on par with villains from Charles Dickens novels in his beliefs. Romney is Obama, but with a more dangerous foreign policy and Ron Paul's advocacy of kicking issues to the states would result in much more government interference in personal lives in the South, where I live. Then, I graduated high school, got some m… | /r/MensRights | 12/02/12 06:03 PM |

People are Mean to My WifeYou just kind of seem to hate women. What even makes you think we're going to get divorced? | /r/MensRights | 10/02/12 07:09 PM
Popped up in my news feed. From The Whole Network.Isn't the NSFW flag FOR people who browse Reddit at work? Browsing Reddit or reading news articles is just about all there is to do while my code compiles. | /r/MensRights | 10/02/12 07:08 PM

The woman communism theoryI don't know if this is a product of gender, or gender bias in upbringing. I've noticed that boys seem to be brought up with the idea that everything is a competition, while girls seem to be brought up with the idea that everything is cooperation. I think that if everyone was raised under the same conditions, the numbers of men and women who pay evenly vs. by merit would be about the same. | 1 | People are Mean to My WifeThat's pretty awesome =). I think being told that her choice of lifestyle is illegitimate kind of gets her down sometimes. I will share this comment with her. | /r/MensRights | 10/02/12 06:04 PM

People are Mean to My WifeNot sure if trolling, will respond anyway. What makes you think she will divorce me? Even by pessimistic standards I probably still have 50/50 odds. | /r/MensRights | 10/02/12 04:31 PM
People are Mean to My WifeI think we're about even. IT can have obnoxious hours, but it's not too bad stress-wise. | /r/MensRights | 10/02/12 04:12 PM
People are Mean to My WifeYes, first post. Had not heard of Reddit, or Men's Rights until reading a blog complaining about Men's Rights on Reddit. | /r/MensRights | 10/02/12 04:11 PM

People are Mean to My WifeThat sounds like what she does. On big dinner days, which happen randomly about twice a week she'll make something like a roast with vegetables, that takes 5+ hours to cook. On other days, or for lunch, smaller goodies like baked potatoes. Weekends we eat out, because it's her weekend too. We also usually catch a movie. | /r/MensRights | 10/02/12 04:08 PM
People are Mean to My WifeThat's kind of what makes it double funny to me. We're by no means "Traditionalists". We just happen to have one thing that works really well for us that looks traditional, even though we didn't arrive at it because of any sort of tradition. | /r/MensRights | 10/02/12 04:05 PM
People are Mean to My WifeI honestly don't care. If the apartment is clean and she made food then her end of the deal is upheld. She can spend the rest of the day playing Xbox 360 and eating popcorn for all I care. | /r/MensRights | 10/02/12 03:58 PM
People are Mean to My WifeThat's kind of hard to do though. Everyone our age seems to feel this way. Everyone who doesn't is too old to connect with. | /r/MensRights | 10/02/12 03:53 PM
