Well my father was a cop. I also grew up in a pretty rough area. A guy I knew when I was a little bit younger got stabbed to death with his own knife by some methed out mother fucker. Had he not pulled the knife he probably would have just got his ass beat and would still be alive today. A knife is way more of a risk to have in a fight than it is an advantage. I usually drink a quarter gallon at breakfast, a quarter gallon after work, then the other half gallon after my workout and before I go to sleep.
