Woah really? Thanks dude, lol. I really hope to do something similar soon. that yg i talked about was like the last of the spring i aged out,(like three yrs ago) and to think i could've spent all that wasted time, with those guys instead is real sad. What a great learning experience tho, which since has made reallllllllly want to be part of a group of guys again like that. Thanks for the insight, i had thought about it a lot before, but had like next to no actual behind the secenes idea what the…

I've spent most of my life around my five sisters and two brothers, and i spent so much time in high school youth group(homeschooled sheltered kid) trying to be friends with girls and join their groups countless times, and not even being able feel comfortable enough in a group of them to eat a fuckin potato chip or drink from a water bottle without feeling awkward. One day i decide to go against the gender segregation and over to the big group of boys, and it was the first time in my life i've e…

the divorce rate's higher for lesbian couples than gay couples too--hearing that was like a mini-red pill for me

yeah, exactly, i hate it so fucking much. i once subscribed to the emails of some mental health expert who talks about narcissistic mothers.i began to realize it was only targeted toward/only acknowledged women having narc . mothers, without saying out front it was only for women. i just kept thinking about how alone and disheartened i would be to see that as a man when i'd see one of her emails, it already made me feel terrible being a woman, how can i use someone's mental health resources when…

exactly. one other thing that could be helpful is if they're strangers, you might be more comfortable sharing sensitive information with them (tho it might sound counterintuitive) if you've had a lot of trauma or bad exp. with people you know in that area, i.e. your family invading your privacy, it might feel more safe--or if you've had bad/lack of history opening up to people you know. it also lessens the risk of feeling like a burden, etc. the list goes on

maybe it's different where you live, but here along with ''real man'' we're told the phrase ''good man'', which is basically the exact same thing, it pretends to be deeper--but it still only cares about success and benefiting others, and like you said, it's this idealized image of a man, instead the actual real, non-imaginary men around them who are in fact good

I don't know what it is, but it's like something in my nature i'm not even aware of is different from the most women, and that's what women hate in me. it's like within myself that i can't see--but they can, and they hate it

society/family has been telling me since i was born that i'd ''mature into a woman'. i'm almost 21 now, and i now know (thank goodness) that i'm not not gonna morph into what they think ideal or proper. i couldn't if i tried. i know it's not the the same idea or pressure as being a ''real man'', but i exp. pressure to be a ''real woman'', even tho they don't usually use that term, it's a similar fallacy

i know exactly what you're talking about OP, the conservatives claim that men can be ''good men,'', but their def is extremely narrow and hard to obtain, and based on success and appearances instead of character. it's always external/for the benefit of others these rules focus on, although they always try to act like it's deeper, it's really not. and ofc men have to ''earn'' their worth, whereas women are born with inherent worth, etc. it's all just a different package for the same shit. (also i…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
