First 10 years? It'd be a loss for doctors, lawyers, engineers for sure. I did the military after college, the first 5 years of employment paid off college debt slowly. One has to choose leveraging youth, health and ability to study vs time, age, income and opportunity. Sometimes it's better to get a degree and debt when you can physically do it.
