I used to be able to. Back in my early 20s, when after a night of drinking I just wanted to find a hole. I never went hogging or brought home someone comically big, just a few times with someone I wouldn't admit to to friends. Now, shit, I'd rather be alone than with someone unattractive.

The other replies were pretty awful in my opinion. I'd skip apps entirely and sign up at either Vanguard or Fidelity. If you don't want to bother with picking things, just look up "Target Date Funds" for the age you expect to retire, toss some money in those, and forget about it. If you've got the liquid funds that you won't need for years, it's a great time to start putting money in. This virus caused a massive correction to a slightly overpriced at the time market, so it's like buying a car at…

I have never heard of this guy, though maybe he is known to the MGTOW community. I am suspicious of the timing and it makes me think he is not saying it because it's true, but because it's being turned on the likely nominee for the democrat party. Something tells me if you went to his post history around the "grab 'em" and Kavanaugh controversies, he would quite passionately be screeching to believe all women.

I'm 36. If I see an age appropriate woman that lists Harry Potter as one of her influences, that's a hard pass. I mean, I watched wrestling as a kid and teenager. Think I'd put that shit in my profile?

So true. When I was about 15 through 25, I was the epitome of "all my friends are female." Spoiler alert: I was trying to fuck everything that moves. It's not to say I've never met an interesting woman or been interested in something about them, but rarely do I meet one whom I could talk to for more than five minutes if I had no interest in or possibility of seeing naked. That may make me sound misogynistic or sexist, but it is what it is. Men, on the other hand, usually have something going on …

waste too much effort on the entertainment of others. This is a weird ass take. One should definitely not depend on the validation that they are thought of as interesting or entertaining, but damn, aspire to entertain people.

Nothing wrong with just being nice to people as much as you can. It's when you expect them to reciprocate where you go wrong. If they don't, fuck 'em, you were nice. Don't bend over backwards though.

I'm not automatically opposed to attempting to date a single mother, and I know that it can be difficult at times. But to approach it in such a jaded, entitled way, I'd rather just avoid it. I'd rather be with someone who enjoyed life rather than merely tolerated it.

I've been on both sides. I grew up a liberal, and now, I'm not quite conservative, but I'm far, far from liberal. Conservatives CAN be controlling in the sense that they tend to advocate for marriage and having the child you conceive. Their moralistic crusade in the 90s against violent video games and lyrics was what made me anti-conservative to begin with (I'm old AF now, so I grew up in the 90s) But other than that, I have yet to notice any kind of controlling behavior. Now the left, on the ot…

Well, we can both agree on something: There shouldn't be detainment centers. So you might not like that they exist, hey I'll join you in criticizing Obama for expanding their use, then handing it off to Trump, who you can criticize for further expansion. My criticism of Trump on that issue is that he's wasting government money on keeping the centers open. IMO, send everyone who doesn't come here legally right back to their countries, don't waste government funds on housing them.

For arguments' sake, which side would you say poses the biggest risk to MGTOW types? The party of personal responsibility and individuality, or the one constantly attacking men? I'm all for being neutral and unbiased, but one side wants to leave people alone, and the other won't leave anyone alone.

The left are splintering, though. There's the establishment moderates, and then the far left. Eventually, those same establishment moderates are going to have more in common with the right than the far left. I do worry about a solidly blue Texas, but I think the far left is just pushing too hard so we'll have another decade or so of balance.

’d actually take a “vanilla sex life” with a good virtuous woman over some sex freak who can’t even prepare healthy meals, keep a clean house, help raise our kids properly etc. Amen, brother. Sex is, and always was important, but at this point, respecting who I choose to spend the rest of my life with is just as important. Great sex with someone I'm unhappy being with used to be tolerable, but I'd prefer alright sex with a great woman.

these fuckers would not turn down that hot brothers ex-gfs pussy just like that I didn't go read the source thread, but I've seen no mention of the girl being hot. Even the line about lingerie doesn't necessarily mean anything. And there's perspective, too. I think the alpha charismatic fuckers you mention would pass on that opportunity unless she was smoking hot. An average girl for a one night stand? Sure. But if it's your boy's ex girl, you can withstand the temptation and pick someone else.

Hope things get better for you. Even with all the resources thrown at women, you still see articles that are supposed to be shocking to women saying "25% of homeless people are women" which is supposed to make it seem like it's a crisis affecting women. Girl, you are not "too pretty." If I saw her on a dating site... this is a girl that yes, I would swipe right on (provided I didn't read how she described herself in her profile) and yes, I would hook up with. Why don't you take care of all your things yourself and then find a man to be with? If I was older and had less choice, and this woman was self-sufficient, maybe just maybe I'd consider her. But to be worn out like that AND want someone to take care of things FOR her, no thanks! That's why she's finding it hard to be with a man.

Keep in mind most professional athletes reach their prime in their late 20s. Not everyone is Barry Bonds (steroids) or Tom Brady (avocado ice cream) That means that despite being brought up almost their entire life around coaches and parents encouraging them to have good habits, going to college with strength and nutrition coaches, and then having a ton of money and access to resources as pros... they are still developing age 22 - 26. A lot of it is about their mental ability, but they definitel…

Cheers man. It was just one man's take on waiting to get married. Some schools of thought preach not even thinking about getting married 'til you're 30. (and some say never marry, but that's beside the point) and I've ended my share of relationships with marriage potential. I've got days where I think it would be nice to have already gone through the wedding and sleepless nights of infant kids, but I'm still pulling girls under 30. I think it's throwing out the PUA terms. To me, PUA stuff seems like a crutch to use while learning how to successfully talk to woman until it sinks in and you just act unconsciously without having to name the steps. My original comment was just that the title says act in your best interest, while the post is just an example of a more efficient way of banging one chick. I called that girl a puppet on one of my friends' posts. My friend said she was disappointed in me, but that's it. Her gay brother, on the other hand, wrote two long responses and both of them started with "Republicans are..." as if that means anything to me. Sure, I lean right, but I think the repubs are spineless. You won't see me defending them. I think the dude just wants to deflect any criticism as "republicans pounce"

True. I steer clear of anyone who identifies as a feminist. Equal rights? Great. Punitive punishments for men? Fuck off

She probably has some shitty beliefs, but who brings that stuff up?

But, this is also driving the alt-right crazy. Is it really though. I can see them as being in on the joke. I hate islam and feminism myself, and don't feel as though I have to support one or the other, just to laugh at people getting offended.

Feminists aren't throwing gay men off buildings and murdering their daughters for becoming too western. Yet

But see, we should be propping up both women and islam. To post something that points out the two are opposed to eachother is clearly done by racist, fascist evil white male nazis

I work on myself, present myself the best way I can on dating sites, and don't settle for anything less than high quality women. If they pull that "you should pay for everything every. thing." shit, I'm out. It sucks because I go for asian women a lot, and most of them are that way, but hey, it's fun for a while. e: I'm in my mid-30s now, so I get why this community will call the 27 - mid-30s women I date now "near/post wall" and "used up," but hey, if they make it this far and they're still in …

I vividly recall bribing my friend to get him to break up with his town bicycle girlfriend back in high school. I'm old AF so this was like 2000, and my offer was to let him borrow my Playstation for while. I remember the phrase "dump her today, get the Playstation today" with a cheesy grin.

I was dating a woman who got her nails done all the time, hair done, eyebrows done, etc. All things she paid for, mind you. Made us go out all the time, and yes she did split or pay for us regularly. But she mentioned the ring she really wants is $20,000 "but I'd be willing to pay for some of it too" So while she's not quite the gold digging whore that a lot of women are, all that stuff "she's willing to pay for" would be our future earnings

People I've recommended the book to cannot get over the constant pages and pages of details about what people around Bateman are wearing, what was on the talk show that morning, how repetitive he is, etc. They don't understand that that's what truly shows just how insane he is. They just get bored. That's how I think of Rand. Now I'm off to try Infinite Jest, wish me luck

Yeah, I can't say I disagree. I enjoy 'em though. I still liked American Psycho the book, after seeing the movie first. But I would never recommend someone else read it. Which if you've read, you'll know what I'm talking about.

Ayn Rand gets a lot of shit, but it's probably from the same people who have a huge problem with communities like this one existing. As for the book and her writing style, it's a little plodding and mostly consists of people having conversations and internal dialogues. But it does feature some MGTOW ideals, such as disregarding relationships as mere distractions, and sticking to one's own moral ideals and not compromising. As in, the guy who changes to be what people want and ends up successful …

She drove HOW many hours round trip to see him. Girls do not go that far and spend that much time on casuals They absolutely do. Not all, maybe not even many, but some do. If a guy was seeing a girl and had a dating app he would probably get beat then left then humiliated online Probably? No, not probably. Not likely, even. What kind of girls are you surrounding yourself with?

If the purported backstory is true, and that they were only seeing each other a few weeks, it's a little extreme of a measure to go to, and is cringy. Then again, if it was a real relationship and they were together a long time, then that's epic.

The bottom middle one isn't so bad "Don't be a woman who needs a man. Be a woman a man needs" Sure, we can over analyze it as well as say no man truly needs a woman, but the bottom line is it's saying to get better, without shitting on men.
