Good for you! I'm glad you stuck with your boundaries. You'll have a much brighter future without that coomer in your life.

Why not just ask it here?

I'm going to have to watch this again though an FDS lens. Honestly I was so blinded by Adam Driver being pretty that I wasn't critical enough until the dramatic wall punching scene. After that I couldn't ignore his flaws anymore lol.

My cycle has always been wonky and I'm not great at tracking it. That said, I feel like I had pms symptoms for about a week longer than usual before my period finally happened after the first shot.

Seriously, that man is so disturbed. I'm sorry that happened to you, OP!

The necklace is kind of cute; it's too bad the text completely ruins it! He sounds more like an annoying little brother than a romantic life partner.

You don’t even have to be bi honestly. Sometimes they hear you’re an atheist and just assume you’re down with anything.

Yay!! That was one of those “yikes” Reddit posts that I would think about randomly and wonder what happened, so I’m glad there was a happy ending. Edit: at least, happy in the long term. Breakups can suck but you made the right call!

I think complaining about Karens is another one. I’ve worked in customer service and the dramatic male customers can be just as bad if not worse. I don’t see the point in complaining about women exclusively.

I think we should attack the media companies that encourage women to write these pickme articles and leave the individuals alone. I mean one critique post is fine (the article was super biased and ridiculous) but this has been a little nuts.

The "Let's gooo!" animation at the end is the best lol.

Just wanted to add to the choir-- please leave him now. You can't fix this level of disrespect with communication. He knows he's being hurtful; that's why he's doing it. He's trying to make you feel insecure so that you settle for his bad behavior.

Your ex sounds completely psycho. Glad you got out of there!

I'm all for chore charts because I like clear expectations. The guy had to actually follow it though... If he doesn't you just feel like his mom. :(

I would work on building up a friend circle and taking care of your mental health before getting into dating. I bet you could find some meet ups online (through a church maybe, or meetup.com for hobbies), or do a community education class. That way you'll have a better support network and things to fall back on if the date goes poorly.

Yup, that's definitely a single dad trying to make his ex / the mom jealous at his kid's birthday party.

Married lurker here. I don't think so. I met my husband in college and I know some other happy couples that did too. Most of us married about age 24-25. I think the main thing is just to vet that the guy will support you and not hold you back. I think longer timelines are okay for young people as long as the relationship doesn't get too complacent.

Unmatch! He's trying to get you isolated, he might try and make a creep move. Also the blatant disrespect.

They'd still be raping women and children, just poor ones without a lot of options in life. People don't really "choose" to be prostitutes unless their life gets really bad and they see no other way forward. Or they get groomed and trafficked into it.

He doesn't think it's romantic; he's just backtracking. I'd submit a police report honestly. Get it on the record in case things escalate.

I agree that this is a really important issue. I'm not sure if links are allowed, but if anyone wants to donate to help black women afford doulas and post-partum counseling, mommybrain.com is collecting funds for that. Having someone there to advocate for the mother can help turn this around.

I don't think she should have to keep his abuse private. Maybe more men would think twice if they were publicly shamed for it.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
