| 3 | Except they literally do, how many people have tried to use the "but women commit suicide more often" whenever male suicide is brought up?As someone who has been suicidal, I can say with near certainty that many "attempts" are either actually self harm (different than attempting suicide) or drama. Many people who commit suicide actually think through the process. You go through the steps of what might stop you from doing the act, or how to make sure the act will succeed. People who are truly suicidal are most likely stopped at the last stages, before they actually commit the act, when someone realizes that something is wrong.
