Anyone willing to admit they actually regret leaving? That’s what they want you to think. My experience is my STBXW would love to hear that after all the abuse me and my kids experienced. Fuck that noise. | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/04/26 11:51 PM
Torn between saving my marriage and walking away — I feel completely lostNot worth it brother. Move on file for divorce. Be a great dad, get that 50/50 and go low to no contact and grey rock her. She’s just going to fuck with your head. It’s a tactic to keep you guessing and then she doesn’t choose you in the end. Choose your self every time. | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/04/26 10:18 PM
Being walked over Vs Keeping the peaceCoparenting app called Talking Parents use grey rock method to communicate. Don’t J.A.D.E don’t justify, don’t argue, don’t defend, don’t explain. If she isn’t discussing logistics for the kids don’t respond to her. If she needs to call you, it needs to be for emergency only. You can set boundaries like don’t message me after 7pm. Or take your time to respond to her wait 1hr. | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/04/26 03:46 PM

Was the divorce your fault?Narcissistic, manipulative mixed with DARVO tactics ends up with you being the “problem” every time. | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/04/26 01:46 AM
Was the divorce your fault?I had to leave so I could be where Iam now. Yes I have faults and approached my ex to be transparent. I also had the conversation about her issues, and how we could move forward as husband and wife. It got me nowhere because she doesn’t know what accountability is. I made all the effort and realized she was latched onto me for all her needs. I got nothing and eventually checked out of the relationship. I brought up divorce and decided on separation. My time away from them showed me all the red f… | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/04/26 12:30 AM
I’m behind the curveShe’s moved on time to do the same for yourself. The emotions will come in waves. She might come back but it’ll probably because the other guys going nowhere. Work on yourself ,I understand you probably will still have a lot of love for her. Try marriage counseling and therapy. If she doesn’t want to then you know you need to file and get it over with. | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/04/26 12:36 AM

Serious, self-harm daughter and wife that's unsupportiveShe won’t change or do any better. You’ll grow to resent her for how she is with the kids. I have a similar situation with my STBX. House is filthy works from home with 2 teenage girls. They don’t shower regularly. Will not acknowledge she has mental health issues. It’s a lost cause. Start the process and get divorced. She will only become worse. You will have to be the best father for them. That means working twice as hard at everything. | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/04/26 11:38 AM
Day 4, just need to writeHas she agreed to reconciling? Marriage counseling? She even open to talking about the issues? If not you have to prepare yourself and move on. If she does want to work it out give yourself a deadline. If you schedule an appointment will she attend it? If you go and it becomes “this is a waste of my time” then what? Will she put things off and fail to meet you halfway? If you feel like this will be her energy moving through this then you have to let it go. Process the emotions, use your support … | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/04/26 02:22 AM
What Do I Do?I’m also on VA disability and can’t find work. So you’re saying it would benefit me to stay unemployed? Pm me if you’re down to chat. | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/03/26 11:18 PM
Best day ive had since D-DayNice! I’m glad you’re here now and you deserve it. Forget about the ex she’s always going to be a negative impact on you and your son’s life. Enjoy the freedom and the solid relationship with your son. Life can be good sometimes, live it up. It’s great to see where you are now. It’s inspiring. Happy trails brother! | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/03/26 08:20 PM
Men of Reddit, what’s the best way for a woman to navigate with separation?Forgive him for the wrong doings. Don’t snoop it probably hurts you more. Be amicable for the children’s sake. Don’t let emotions and resentment sink into your life. Get divorced and move on. You still have to coparent and you need to be successful at it for the kids. | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/03/26 07:48 PM
Did I do the right thing? No contact and make yourself unavailable. Only make yourself available for the kids needs. Talking parents is great I’m currently using it. It has a grey rock feature that is helpful. Figure out what you need to pay don’t give her money. Don’t communicate unless it’s about your children’s needs. Also be aware of her using you. Set boundaries the response maybe for her to make allegations against you for domestic abuse. Protect yourself. | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/03/26 07:40 PM
Rant about wife who leftSounds like the support was lacking. Here’s the thing did you expect her to stand by your side? You feel like you’re going through a tough time and need support right? You have these expectations of her and she’s not giving you want you want. She most likely will never be that for you. I went through a similar situation. At the end of the day people choose themselves. Yeah a sorrys nice but take it as that’s all she was ever willing to give. Move on and deal with your issues. You’re losing somet… | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/03/26 07:33 PM
Making an another attempt to reconcile before considering to move on?Thanks brother. Just approach your needs and concerns with her get it in the open. It’s up to her to hear you, probably won’t care in the end. Don’t stick around waiting for effort or change. Give it a reasonable deadline and prioritize yourself. Show strength and don’t fall for the weak shit. If you’re concerned about allegations you need to have a plan to avoid it at all costs. If it’s ok to record a video or sound in the UK be prepared to do so. You got this! | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/03/26 06:28 PM
Making an another attempt to reconcile before considering to move on?Don’t waste your time brother. She’s making you feel like you need to analyze yourself. You know she sucks, she probably makes you feel like you suck. That’s the control she has over you. That’s why you want to try and fix it. Just imagine the list she has about you and the take away is she probably says to herself that I can treat him anyway I want and he’ll stay. I can be horrible and he’ll do whatever I want. I left my wife because she’s horrible. I didn’t realize the hold she had on me. I mo… | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/03/26 01:31 PM
