-1	Male Privilege Summary Sexism isn't going to stop you from getting a degree if you're intelligent/hardworking enough to do the work. I'm sure many men have had an equally difficult time in programs like STEM, whether it's lack of positive motivation from educators or the challenge of the work. The fact that these career fields lack females should be at least one source of encouragement for any aspiring female scientist. Sure, many of the older generations, those who are late 20s and up, may have been raised like that, however the world has largely changed to be more accepting of women in higher level occupations.
