how has your SO been there for you during rough times? She has not, and I'm quite alright with that in all honesty. She tends to get in the way more than anything. As you said, they don't really know how to react to stressful and tough situations, because they don't need to know how to react. Plus, it's impossible to stay 100% stoic all the time as it's largely a facade to begin with, so having an SO around seeing you break frame is not a good time.

I don't know you nor your brother or what he's been through, but being controlled and threatened and beat for 7 years definitely warrants trauma. You don't have to be in the military to feel shock. I hope you get better, but; while it's important to own your shit, never diminish your own suffering because it wasn't as suffer-y as someone else's suffering.

I'm 19 as well and have tried everything. The killer for me is that just a year ago I had awesome hair, thick as fuck, real harry styles type stuff. But it has thinned tremendously during my late puberty, and it looks like shit now. I'll be shaving mine off with my friend who enlisted, it's better to just get it over with and move on.

Don't let the MMA gym intimidate you. In my experience in dealing with fighter's gyms, everyone is very friendly and eager to help new people adjust and train. And the guys you'll meet will probably be solid folk.

I would recommend checking out Free to Play It's clear that even in high-tier gaming culture, masculine values such a teamwork, leadership and working like mad are ever-present. This is a space that was founded by men for men, and appeals to people from all places within the Alpha-Beta dichotomy. I remember all of male teachers back in high school were really kick-ass, especially the AP teachers. They inspired me so much man.
