Now the article above is locked behind a paywall for me, but does it actually say “the majority of women prefer men as their boss because they’re more emotional”? They are biologically attracted to different jobs. Deal with it. I’m not saying it’s an unnecessary study. I’m just saying some fucko is gonna go “this woman is gonna be super emotional because the study said women are more emotional than men” without actually understanding what the study means, or the context of the study, or that people are different, or that studies can be flawed sometimes, etc. And everybody is prejudice, regardless of what you try to teach them (not that we do a good job of teaching people not to be prejudice)	/r/MensRights	14/11/18 08:08 PM

If a study says “men are 2x more likely to become computer programmers than woman (made up fact)” then that’s just a fact. The issue is when people take the study entirely out of context and use it to make baseless and prejudicial claims, such as “men are better programmers than women” without looking at the context of the study or having any supporting evidence. If the studies say “women are more likely to react to x in a certain fashion” and I see a woman I’m going to think that she’s more likely to react to x in that way. Same goes for men as well. Whether this is a bad thing or not is debatable, but making scientifically backed blanket statements about a group will definitely influence my prejudices towards that group.
