Yep, exe did the same thing to me. Women can be heartless and cold. I will never marry again.

I read your other posts about this whole ordeal. What she did was awful, and you deserve better. I'm sure there are a ton of women out there searching for someone just like you. Keep your chin up, you got this.

My ex sent me nude pics up until a week before she asked for a divorce. I have no plans on deleting any of them. I still have nudes from my 2nd exe, and even other girls I dated. They sent them to me, and I'm keeping them. I never look at them, but still....

100%. It doesn't seem like women these days even pretend to want an actual relationship. Part of that blame falls squarely on social media, which promotes the idea that there is always something better, and makes it extremely easy to connect with other people. On average, people look at someone's profile online for 3-5 seconds. The ease of choice makes actually getting to know anyone hard, and makes even the slightest issue reason enough to move on to the next. What happened to effort? What happ…

Oh, I'm done being married. I've had to restart 4 times now. It took me 52 years to realize marriage is a scam and only benefits the woman. I might have someone move in with me again at some point, but I will never again say "I do" to someone else.

Most women, especially the younger ones, don't lack for choice. That can be intoxicating, but as they get older, that tends to subside. Most of them will look back and wish they had tried harder with that nice guy they married but got bored with. At least, that's what I would like to believe. Who knows. What is meant to be will be. I'm 52, just went through me 3rd divorce, and I'm in the process of selling my home. She moves out on the 1st, ending almost a 10-year relationship. She found greener…

Marriage hasn’t benefited me personally. In my experience, there hasn’t been a good reason for me to get married again. I’ve been burned too many times, and I’m not willing to put myself in that position anymore. If someone wants a long‑term relationship, they can still have one without the legal risks that come with marriage — especially in states without common‑law marriage. You can live together, build a life, and enjoy the connection without tying yourself to a legal structure that can cost …

We didn’t have any kids, and we make about the same amount of money each month, so there was no alimony involved. She also agreed to leave my retirement alone — and she did. We still have some joint credit card debt, which we’re paying down now, or at least we will be until the house sells. Once that happens, we’ll split the equity and go our separate ways. We’ll still have to communicate because of the dogs — we both love them. But with my work schedule, having any animal full‑time just isn’t r…

We’re still living under the same roof until June when we plan on selling the house. The communication is basically nonexistent. The only conversations we have now are logistical — her asking if I’ll be home to watch the dogs so she can go out, or me letting her know when I’ll be gone for work for a few days. That’s it. We’re not talking about life, work, or anything personal anymore. The connection we used to have just isn’t there.

I would have told him the truth. My ex made the decisions she made, and she can live with the consequences of them. If anyone asks me, I'd tell them. I posted on a Facebook page that we got a divorce, and mentioned the affair and lying. Apparently, some mutual friends/family members saw the post and didn’t know we got a divorce. She was upset with me for posting that, but nothing I said was a lie. She was just upset that my version of the divorce doesn’t line up with hers and, specifically, she …

You don't need God to have vows; you need a moral compass and a spine. I've literally had a woman meet me at her house in panties and wanted to have sex on the first date. Not only did I turn her down, I only gave her a peck on the cheek before I left. Why? Because I won't take advantage of someone who was drinking, someone who expressed interest in only talking before I came over, the fact we didn't know each other, there were no condoms, or recent STD results--that, and I'm no one's booty call…

Yep, my ex started an affair on my birthday. She was having sex with him before she even asked for the divorce. It's hard seeing someone that you loved so deeply throw everything aside for someone new. The lies, disrespect, the betrayal ---all real. That gut punch is your head and heart fighting each other. Her words should mean nothing now; look at her actions. Write down every bad thing she ever did, all the ways you were not compatible. Read that every day, until you can forget about her. You…

Write out a list of all the bad things she did, and how you were not compatible (list those out as well). Read that every day until your brain and heart align. Your heart still wears rose-colored glasses. You need to make it see the truth.

I feel you. I was loyal and kept my vow until my divorce was final (4-3-2026). She started an affair on my birthday, a month before she asked for a divorce. Today was the first full day in 3025 days I've been single. I hate this feeling. I loved being a husband. All you can do is know it will get better a little day-by-day. I understand feeling loyal to your exe. I still do, even though we are no longer husband & wife. I know I must move on in body and heart; at some point, I will. There isn't a…

My cheating wife was in a relationship a month before asking for a divorce. Me, I couldn't do anything physical with anyone until we filed. My wedding vow means that much to me. Now, I have stretched the meaning of it to be fully transparent by being on 5 dates in 6 weeks. I justified that to myself by not engaging in any physical contact with any of them, not even a kiss goodbye. I did hug each one of them, but there was no sexual meaning behind it--I'm just a hugger, I did the same in front of…

Don't move out. It might hurt you in the divorce. Move into a separate room. If you only have a 2-room house, either buy bunk beds for the kids' room and stay in here or sleep on the couch.

We originally planned not to file until the bills were paid off, so that we could keep the lower marriage tax bracket, and we don't have to list the debt on the divorce paperwork. However, with her recent actions, I've already started filing myself, and it takes a ton to make someone like me want to file divorce paperwork.

Says the side that denies global warming, COVID-19 vaccines, universal healthcare, equal rights, alternative energy, spews racist rhetoric because they're afraid of "them", and re-elected a man who gets on TV every day and attacks people because they don't say nice things about him. SHHHH, the adults are talking.

Not to call BS, but BS. You can't support the current administration and call yourself a conservative or claim to respect everyone. Those two are fundamentally opposite beliefs. I could list 100 reasons why MAGA and Trump are not true conservatives. They will say one thing, yet do another. It's speaks volumes about someone if they support this administration, and for A LOT of people, that alone is enough to not even look in their direction. It's able values, character, and judgment, and in today…

As a liberal myself, I could never be married to someone who holds opposite political beliefs from me. It truly speaks to someone's character if you support MAGA or Trump. Science, facts, the environment, equal rights, pro-choice, etc, are fundamental core beliefs that most people hold dear. It's a moral as well as a character thing. You two seem to have very different foundational beliefs, and that isn't something you want to compromise on just for love. Better to end it now than wait years dow…

I'm still living with my wife in our home, just in different rooms. We plan on paying off joint debt and selling the house. She has yet to file, but I told her the other day, go ahead and do it. We don't need to be married to pay off the debt. In some ways, I'm looking forward to having my own place. I will deeply miss my dogs, but with my schedule, I can't have one. They will live with her full-time, and we agreed to split custody of them. I get the feeling of an empty house. When I come home f…

I'm starting to feel the same way, and it hurts, because at my core I'm a genuinely good man. I'm just exhausted from being treated like I'm disposable by women who said they loved me and made hollow vows. I can’t imagine ever getting remarried. After the last 30 years, it feels like the pattern never changes—broken promises, shifting priorities, and people who walk away when it’s convenient. At this point, I’m leaning toward keeping things simple: maybe a friends‑with‑benefits situation or a ca…

One day at a time, brother. Don't let her win by ending your life. She is ONE out of 4.5 BILLION women on this planet. She isn't special. Work on yourself, get some guy friends, take a class, go to the gym, anything to get your mind off her. I get it, I truly do. I called the national crisis hotline when I found out my wife was going to divorce me. I wanted to run myself off the road into oncoming traffic; I even took my seat belt off. What saved me was knowing this, too, will pass. I'm still ma…

My wife made the same “we’re only friends” claim about the man she was having an emotional affair with—three weeks before she asked for a divorce. Less than a week after that, she went out with him “as friends” and didn’t come home. A friend later told me she confessed to his girlfriend (who was out with them that night) that she had slept with him. I checked our AT&T phone logs and saw she’s been calling and texting this man constantly since my birthday. To add insult to injury, she told me ton…

My STBEX said she plans on keeping my last name. I have no issue with that. I still love her and wish her the best. Yes, it hurts like hell to get this divorce; it's not something I wanted or ever thought we would get. She's the one who got away for me.

I’m quickly realizing men may act all tough and bad ass, but deep down, we all want to be liked, loved, and wanted. It’s made me come to the conclusion that I need to put myself out there and meet new people, expand my circle of friends, and just live a little. There’s more to life then sitting in front of a computer for work and play all day

I feel you. I haven’t been on any date — it’s only been 72 hours since she asked for the divorce — so I can’t speak to that experience. The thought of it turns my stomach however. I tried just pretending to be normal, force myself to just “act like a man”, but inside I’m a wreck. I have 1 male friend and I’m trying not to dump on him. Can’t talk to the ex, and literally have no living family. I signed up for a divorce support group here locally. They meet every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month…

If this isn’t a contested divorce, you can get and file the paperwork for about $500.
