Technically, the kid may not suffer as the infected cells would be destroyed and the pregnancy would never go to term (if she gets pregnant, the chances are low in IVF) and the disease will spread to the woman. MGM is related to feminism as despite them being against FGM wherever it's prevelant even getting studies into its benefits outlawed (yes, that's an actual thing) they show no similar behaviour regarding the male counterpart and even go so far as supporting it with thoughts like "it's safer for women" and "it looks better".
