Lot of these things are really dependent on culture. In pre Christian European societies for example, women were free to cnoose their partners and enjoyed more freedoms than in say many Christian European societies following their religious conversion. I do believe women should have a say in their partner, at the very least

Lot of the oppression that feminism cites never existed. Historically, most men had no voting rights either. America for example was founded as a republic and the founding fathers warned against the popular vote deciding the elections. Giving voting rights entirely to any group based on sex was against what they created. Feminism was really never about solving problems but more so always about blaming men for every injustice and giving women the advantage in every situation

Missing my point. When feminists talk of equality, it's never about equality. And we won't ever have to worry about this moral issue, because women never apply to these roles in the first place

Why shouldn't women do more dangerous work? All this talk of equality, yet it doesn't apply in these situations? What does equality even mean then

"If a man cannot provide a comfortable life for his wife and family, then he shouldn’t have kids" translation: if you aren't rich, as a man, women have every right to ignore your existence

During the first presidential election of the USA, only 6 percent of the general population was eligible to vote. Most men historically didn't have a right to vote either. Keep in mind, America was intially a republic (and still is, technically, though not in practice so much)

How do you feel about marriage laws? In particular, divorce laws that almost universally favor women? Ie examples like these two: Bill Gates's divorce in 2021 from Melinda Gates is the most expensive divorce with Melinda getting $76 billion ($86.7 billion inflation adjusted). Jeff Bezos's divorce in 2019 from MacKenzie Bezos; is the second most expensive divorce with MacKenzie Bezos getting $38 billion ($46.7 billion inflation adjusted)." Also custody laws that again universally favor women? Why…

The article quote says 92 percent of work place deaths are men. It also mentions this is a disparity that is consistent over time. Gloss over that? The disparity is not getting better. You and I both know women won't be lining up for these dangerous jobs anytime soon. The statistics confirm it, and you and I both know it

The systematic inequality is that men take up the vast majority of dangerous jobs that women refuse to do "Men are significantly more likely than women to die on the job in the United States. In 2022, there were 5,041 male occupational injury deaths compared to 445 female deaths. This disparity has remained consistent over time, with men accounting for approximately 92% of all workplace fatalities in recent years. The fatality rate for men is more than nine times higher than that for women. This…

Tried to search this and couldn't find a source anywhere other than a meme site. Most likely fake just to generate a laugh (not funny) potential pedophilia is the joke I guess

When you spend money on something that an artist made, you are endorsing them and financing their lifestyle. Something i encourage people not to take lightly

Ive always detested love songs so works out for me :) always wondered why love songs were the default for music when there's so much else to sing about

I think the logic is that one, working women as a whole seem to if anything demand more of men. Look at the divorce rates of men who makes less than their wife. Two, instincts are a thing and most women are drawn to "breadwinner" types. Instead of fighting against instincts, this goes along with them.

Something missing here. Men in general improving their looks/grooming will if anything make dating harder for all of us. Hypergamy is a moving target. For example, if all men made six figures, women wouldn't be thrilled: they'd simply now want the top seven figure earners. Men looking better in general will do nothing to make more women attracted to more men. The percentages will stay the same, albeit the selection criteria will be upgraded

Even if we did make such accusations it wouldn't be taken seriously. Women in any situation can claim to be victims and people (especially simpy men) will jump all over themselves to validate them

Hm ok. Would have more power if you phrased it as women, no matter what, are taught they are more than good enough for a man, while at the same time men are treated as if we can never be good enough for a woman. You shouldn't have to be extraordinary to be valued in the dating world

"And yet woman (usually, not always) are never enough for men" Mean to say "always enough for men"?

Hard criticism is just a fact of life. Reddit might lean heavily left, but at least it still allows spaces like this to exist. Use your voice, and don’t let the anti-male echo chambers here make you feel defeated. Remember, silence is not our friend

There's a reason the "passport bros" movement is a thing. If escaping the west works, in terms of dating sanity, I fully advocate for it. No reason for anyone to stay in a place they aren't appreciated
