Ah, but you see if the average base pay is $47,499 then female webcam models are only making $42,220 on average

What would you recommend for reading up on NLP (preferably with depth)?

Use the Headspace app - as a person who has meditated quite a bit and has read many books on meditation and spirituality (most of them are hot garbage mind you), using this specific app is the best thing for beginners by an enormous margin. It literally puts all other possible ways to start meditating to shame. That, unfortunately, does not at all mean that it guarantees success :(.

That's the proper red pill mindset :).

The way it "develops" it is pretty simple actually. You just do it while meditating and the act of doing it makes you better at doing it (more gray matter in parts of your brain that activate when you're trying to be aware of things according to studies). The "growth" curve for meditation is different than say exercise. When you go to the gym you see most of your growth in the beginning, even if you have terrible form and eat only chips and steak. The cool thing about meditation is that it just …

It feels more like actually seeing more of what's happening in your mind as it's happening. It's hard to describe without experiencing it. This is different from "being in the moment", which is more about not getting "lost" "in" "your" "thoughts" (and yes, I intentionally quoted each of those separately).

No, you meditate more until it doesn't bother you that he's being cocky about meditating :D. I'm being sarcastaserious btw.

As a 500+ hours meditator, ^ dis. Although I don't expect it to actually resonate with you unfortunately :(. One of the primary drawbacks of meditation is that it's awesome and you're excited to tell people about it (like op clearly is) and then people are like "meh".

I am not in any way shape or form trolling him. I read his post several times extremely carefully.

That sounds painful to experience. I hope things get better. I'm afraid that your only good strategy is to keep being the better person and hope that your ex-wife raises the standard of her own behavior. If you give up it will be even less likely that she will :(.

I think that your ex-wife tried to extend an olive branch. It was a pathetic shriveled thing to be sure, but an olive branch nonetheless. I think that you were very curt with her and effectively refused that olive branch. I know it's easy to get into the mindset that it is her fault for not following up with e-mails about the kids, but the reality is that you responded in a very cold fashion to her reaching out, one that very very clearly stated you don't really want to talk to her even one iota…

They don't have this great life you're thinking of, hah :D. http://lesswrong.com/lw/4su/how_to_be_happy/ Specifically: Factors that don't correlate much with happiness include: age, gender, parenthood, intelligence, physical attractiveness, and money (as long as you're above the poverty line).

You don't actually want this. Nor do you really want to be your hot dude friend. Being either of these does not incentivize growth...

This is actually a pretty big rule of insight, it applies far more generally than about this specific insight (red pill).

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
