I can relate to having a brother with zero empathy because I had serious chronic pain and health issues when I was growing up, thankfully it's very manageable now. However, during my late childhood and early teens, I was constantly in the hospital. When I was 15 I went to the emergency and my brother, who was 13, decided he wanted to come with my Mother and I to the hospital, which never happened before. My mother was getting dressed and asked my brother to tie my shoes because I was incapable o…

In the past few months, I've seen several videos of women proposing to men. I honestly hope this is not becoming a trend 😐

If the other woman was unaware that the man she cheated with was married, then I don't think the other woman should be blamed at all. However, if the other woman cheated with the man with the full knowledge that she was involved with a married man, then that makes her a NVW, just like the NVM man she cheated with. I also agree, that it's disturbing how many women on this sub are constantly defending women who get involved with married men because cheating with married men is clearly the height o…

This is so true! It's crazy because women often get accused of being "baby crazy" and trying to "trap" men with babies, but from my experience, the opposite is true. I am 29, and so many men I've dated in their mid-20s to mid-30s have talked about wanting to have children 😐

This sounds like a nightmare 😰 When I was 19, I was in a relationship with a 25 year old man who tried to pressure me to get married and have children 😐 I told him I didn't want to marry so young and I was on the fence about children, and did not want children until my late 20s at the soonest if I did have them. He tried to pressure me into having sex without protection. And he gave me ultimatums about getting married and having children, so I broke up with him. I honestly think it was one of th…

Rochelle's story is so inspirational 💖 I've been purposely single for over a year after two abusive relationships with LVM. I've been pouring all of my energy into myself for the past year. I managed to earn my degree, get a great job, and I'm planning on moving to France next year✨ Sometimes, I've wondered if I'm making the correct decision to be single and focus on pursuing my dreams rather than settling down. I've really been questioning my decisions this year since I'll be turning 30, and ma…

I feel the same way because I saw my mom struggle with a very similar situation. My parents wonder why I'm 29, I've never been married, I have no children, and I've almost lost interest in being in another relationship. I never want to be in a situation like this poor woman.

After reading posts on this subreddit, I'm on the fence about getting married or having children. At the very least, I think it is important for women to have a private savings account and to try to maintain relevant work experience throughout their marriage. When I was younger, I used to daydream about getting married and being a homemaker, but now I think that relying 100% on a man for financial support puts a woman in a very vulnerable and dangerous position. Women who are stay-at-home wives …

Many people have children without really thinking about whether or not they truly desire children because of cultural/social norms, family pressure, and accidental pregnancies. Some people also have "band-aid babies" because their relationship is going down the drain and they've already had one or more children, so somehow they think having a new baby will bring them closer together and heal their failing relationship. Sadly, the opposite seems to happen the overwhelming majority of the time.

This is more or less what happened to my mother. Except my mother was a successful career woman and my father was a broke college dropout when they met. He moved in with her after a matter of months, convinced her to go 50/50 on everything, got her pregnant with me, married her, convinced her father to "loan" him money to finance his education and business ventures. Thank You! I feel like I'm going against the grain in this comment section, but like I said I honestly felt disturbed and saddened by this video. When they are consciously being Pickmes. It is one thing to act out of ignorance and another to repeatedly make bad choices with the full knowledge that the decision is harmful just for the chance of winning the approval of men. I particularly lack sympathy for Pickmes when they do things that harm women like purposefully attempting to get with a married man or defending violent kinks when they have the knowledge that these activities are harmful because they are hoping to "get picked". I don't think it's about not admitting mistakes. Some information is best kept private or shared anonymously. She didn't really roast the men she slept with because no one knows who these men are. However, now everyone who has watched this video just saw her put some of the most intimate details of her private life on blast in an incredibly crass manner. *Feel free to continue down-voting me, it doesn't make anything I said less true. My thoughts exactly. I am surprised to see so many comments say this video was funny when it seems like this woman is having a crisis. She said she's having sex with these men because, "I hate myself". It was just very cringe-worthy and sad. I like this subreddit, but I've seen several post like this get praise. I don't think videos like this are praiseworthy. She is using excessive profanity and talking about how she has casual sex, as if she is hurting the men she slept with, when all she is r…

I don't think this video is funny at all, this woman seems to be having a crisis. This video displays a lot of low value behavior. I honestly feel bad for the woman in this video because in regard to having sex with LVM, she says, "do you think I enjoy being here...I'm here because I f*cking hate myself". She should seek mental help if she is having sex with men when she doesn't want to because she "hates" herself 😐 .

This was my first thought. There is no way I would ever risk my life to carry this man's child in my womb. Absolutely no way in hell. If he treated me like this when I was pregnant, I can't even imagine how he would treat me during the recovery period after giving birth.

Her husband seems super abusive. There were so many red flags, from him aggressively pursuing her to him insisting that they have a baby quickly, likely so he could trap her. It seems like he love-bombed her and then flipped the script when he felt like he got a firm grasp on her. The list he presented to her boggles my mind, it's just so disgusting to think that men like this are actually real. I'm confused by your response to my comment. I never said the teen wasn't coerced, I said "even if" she did go with the man it would still be wrong to blame the teen because, "she likely experienced previous sexual abuse or was too naive to understand the ramifications of her actions at that age". I said this because this comment in the screenshot from the OP tries to place blame on the teen in the hotel for "acting grown". And I personally have experience with this because I was a naive teenage…

This is so sick. I hate when people blame children for being molested. A 15 year old is not an adult. If the comment is referring to the 13 year old in the news story, she probably did not speak about her age because she was terrified of being alone with a grown man in a hotel room. Even if the young teen went with the man of her own free will, she likely experienced previous sexual abuse or was too naive to understand the ramifications of her actions at that age. The prefrontal cortex, which is…

When I first read "the rule of Gary" as a term for slowing down, I thought it was named after the snail Gary from the cartoon Spongebob 😂 Well, it works for me because it helps the concept stick in my mind. But on a serious note, I definitely agree with not rushing intimacy. Every time I have dated a man and allowed intimacy to be rushed, the interaction fizzled out quickly or the guy thought I wanted a FWB situation rather than a relationship.

It's not the end of the world, you just made a mistake. Mistakes happen, and it is understandable because you said that you had not been on a proper date in a long time. However, with that said, here is the reality of the situation. Be Safe: You should not have invited him to your place, especially if it was a first date because that could have been very dangerous. Porn. I think it's because most men are pornsick. They watch violent sex which is sadly mainstream in pornography, and they assume it must be normal for everyday people to engage in those behaviors. Or, they brainwash themselves with porn and then they start fantasizing about reenacting the acts they see in porn with a woman in their real life.

I feel so much happier since I have stopped dating. Yes, I've actually seen several videos of "cake smashing" at weddings. The worst one I saw was when a bride gently smashed a piece of cake onto the groom's face after he initiated the "cake smashing". He responded by feverishly trying to smash the top tier of the cake into her face with the cake knife still in-hand until he succeeded as she fell onto the floor covered in cake. It's ok. No, I do not communicate with him very often at all because he was terribly abusive to me when I was growing up, he nearly drove my mother insane and ruined her financially, he failed at raising my brother who has grown up to be very similar to him, and I honestly think my father has Narcissistic Personality Disorder. It is Womb Envy, and the crazy thing is that everything is inverted in the Patriarchy, so men accuse women of having "penis envy" 😂 Like what woman would envy a penis, a penis is not even comparable to a womb. The temporary pleasure of orgasm lets them stave off the fear for a brief moment, and then they're back to chasing the high again, which is really running from the abyss." This is 100% true. Women are expected to do everything now. Cook, clean, have children and be responsible for the majority of childcare, and work full-time 😐 There have been studies that show even in households where the man self-identifies as a "feminist", the majority of the domestic responsibilities still fall on the woman, even when she works outside the home full-time 😑 I don't want any part of that mess 🙅‍♀️ Nope

If you are referring to advocating for women involved in the sex industry, I think it's important to understand that many of them are young and in denial about what they are going through because they would not be able to mentally handle the reality of their situation if they fully acknowledged it. This is sad and true. When men are anti-porn it's generally because they are struggling with ED, a lack of motivation, or they are religious. When women are anti-porn it's often because we are sickened by real women being trafficked, horrifically abused, and humiliated for "entertainment". It just further proves that most men don't see women as fully human.

Thanks for the support, and "uniquely crappy" is a great way to describe the concrete "gift" 😂

In general I think it is victim blaming. I think the only exception is if a woman has really low self-esteem and weak boundaries, then she might think she is not worthy of a HVM, so she will accept poor treatment from people and attract NVM/LVM. However, I think when most people talk about "what you attract" in a spiritual context, it is mostly victim blaming BS. An extreme case of this was after I was sexually assaulted, my ex-friend who is into new age spirituality told me, "you need to attrac…

The worst thing is that men don't even need to hide the bodies anymore, they just tell the police that it was "rough sex gone wrong" and they have literally been able to get away with murder in some cases.

That's honestly horrifying, but sadly, many men find jokes about raping, mutilating, and murdering women to be "funny", "edgy", or "dark humor". I remember many years ago, I went to a popular comedy club. It was my first and last time going to see live comedy. I remember there was a lineup of 3 or 4 "up-and-coming" male "comedians". All of them made many misogynistic "jokes" throughout the show. However, I remember one joke in particular because it was so shocking and vile. The man was joking ab…

I honestly feel so embarrassed that I've never been able to tell anyone that I was gifted a piece of mossy concrete for a birthday present 😂 The worst part is that I was such a pickmesha that I accepted the "gift". And this guy was in his mid-20s, so it's not like he wasn't old enough to know how to buy a proper gift. I felt truly dumbfounded when he showed me "the gift", but I didn't want to hurt his feelings and I thought "at least he tried", so I told him, "um, thanks, uh, this is...very...un…

I wish I realized this sooner 🤦‍♀️ The amount of time I've wasted during my teens and 20s trying to help men better themselves is depressing. The worst was when I was 19 and met a 28 year old military vet who had PTSD, was "emotionally unavailable", and had thinly veiled hatred toward women because he had mommy issues. I would spend hours on the phone multiple days a week listening to him vent about problems in his life, yet he never had the patience to listen to me. I would also try to make sur…

I agree, I tried multiple dating apps in my mid-20s and it seemed like all the men were interested in finding a casual sex partner and "not looking for anything serious". It was a waste of my time.

Major Trigger Warning 😐 I wish I could say I'm shocked, but I'm not. I remember many years ago when I was in my late teens and on Tumblr, I had an animal rights Tumblr page and I was looking up something about factory farming, and I stumbled across a Tumblr page that was devoted to a fantasy about having a "female farm" where women would be kidnapped, bred, milked, slaughtered, and turned into "woman meat" like livestock. The page had many followers. It was one of the most sickening things I've …

This looks like it was written by a delusional, young Pickmeisha. I sincerely hope she is able to see the light, rid herself of internalized misogyny, and learn self-love 😐

Her ex-fiancé looks like a pug, has a very bland personality, prefers to play video games over spending time with her, has an "addiction", and low-key negs her from what I've seen of the videos of them interacting...so, nothing of value was lost IMO 😂 She actually dogged a bullet. Hopefully she will come to her senses, increase her self-worth, and look back at this relationship and say, "what the hell was I thinking"! 🤪 *I just watched their "How We Met - Adrian’s Side of the Story" video on Ins…

I have two weird stories. When I was younger, I dated a NVM. My birthday had recently passed, and NVM said he wanted to get me a gift. Several more weeks passed, and one evening I received a phone call asking if he could drop a "special gift" off at my place. The "gift" was a thin slab of concrete with moss growing on it 🌳😐 The NVM told me he was skateboarding near a construction site and saw the slabs of concrete with moss. He thought it looked cool, so he got permission to take a bunch of the …

I feel so bad for this woman and her family. May she RIP. I try not to feel disgusted and terrified of men, but then I regularly see stories of them doing unimaginably depraved things to women, children, animals, and even other men...and it makes it extremely difficult for me not to feel terrified of them. I understand it's "not all men". However, the overwhelming majority of violent and depraved crimes are committed by men. This is just so sad and disgusting, I don't even know what else to say.

I greatly appreciate this post because I will be turning 30 this year 💖 I look far more attractive now than I did when I was in my early 20s because I dropped the baby fat, learned how to dress, have more disposable income to spend on self-care, and I feel more comfortable in my own skin now than I did when I was younger 😊

This is so sickening, he sounds like he is talking about his mother or a servant, and not his wife 🤢 It makes me wonder, if his wife is doing all of these things, what does this man do? Like seriously, what function does he serve? I'm lost 🧐

There was a magazine called CosmoGirl published from 1999 until 2008 that was a teen version of Cosmopolitan.

I agree, I also think libfems are insane. However, I also think many women are receptive to the insane messages from libfems because many women have problems with internalized misogyny.

The sad thing is that she is not just, "sacrificing her dignity and humanity", she is putting all women at risk by trying to normalize this depravity.

This is pretty much where I'm at right now. I'm lonely sometimes, but I really can't deal with men because too many of them are secretly hateful toward women and pornsick weirdos, even if they look like HVM on the surface. When I looked over my involvement with men, I realized that every man I have dated and been in a relationship with has been majorly problematic in some way or another. I've been assaulted, had men pressure me for sex, had men use me for free therapy, had men date me when they …

That is terrifying. I never even thought of it that way. I really struggle to understand how men can truly lack basic humanity. After I was assaulted, I tried to convince myself that what happened to me was really bad luck, and that bad things sometimes happen to good people. However, after the other bad experiences I've had, especially with the guy who texted me those messages, I am beginning to genuinely feel afraid of men, like there is an empathy chip missing in many of their brains or somet…

That is so disturbing. I don't understand how society has changed so rapidly. I am 29, and I remember that kissing was a huge deal when I was a kid. I don't even remember kids talking about sex until I was maybe 14 or 15 at the earliest. And I didn't even know what a kink was until I was in my early 20s.

This is depressing, but I am starting to wonder if it's the truth because of the popularity of violent pornography and abusive fetishes. I wonder if there are actually good men who just want to spend time together, cuddle, and have "vanilla" sex. I don't understand why so many men seem to enjoy watching women being abused. They enjoy it so much that they want to replicate the violence they see in porn and inflict violence upon the women in their lives. I also hate how society supports this viole…

I agree, but it honestly seems like all men watch porn. I am sure there must be a few that don't watch it, but I haven't met that unicorn yet. The worst part is that all the guys I've dated have been seemingly nice and normal, even HVM at first glance, but many hide these disturbing violent sexual desires to dominate, degrade, and even hurt women. I just don't understand the trend of BDSM and related kinks/fetishes. It seems the things that were considered "extreme" only a few years ago are cons…

The idea that children are being exposed to extremely violent pornography that has flooded the internet is extremely disturbing. I don't have children of my own, but I have an 11 year old niece and the idea of her dating when she gets older terrifies me because as you pointed out in your post, children are being exposed to porn at an extremely early age and the porn is becoming increasingly violent and grotesque. The fact that some people are defending violent fetishes, like the cannibalism feti…

Thank you for the kind words. I am also sorry for the terrible experience you had with that guy. It's extremely upsetting that so many women can empathize with my experience because no one should be treated with such disrespect, and arguably hatred for being a woman. I also really appreciate all of the kind comments and support on this issue. After being shamed by my own friends for "kink shaming" and reading the insane Cosmopolitan article, it's refreshing to hear other women say they agree wit…

I agree with you, and I deeply regret sharing that information with him. The topic just kind of came up when he asked me if I wasn't attracted to him because I'd only go on dates in public places and I refused an invitation to his place after several dates. He always set up nice dates and acted kind, so I thought he was a good person, and I wanted to make it clear that the lack of intimacy between us wasn't because I was not attracted to him, so I thought it was safe to tell him. I didn't tell h…

Thank you, I appreciate the kind words. I also agree that the guy who assaulted me was likely porn sick because I also thought of the hand around the throat thing in hindsight as a warning sign. And the worst thing is that he was not the only guy who enjoyed the throat thing. Another guy I very recently dated seemed very sweet and normal on the surface, but he had too much to drink one night and randomly started sharing his sexual desires for me via text, which included wanting to "choke me" and…

Thank you for the support! I feel like I am living in the twilight zone the way many people are defending violent fetishes like Armie Hammer's cannibalism fetish! Even many of my friends think it's "not that bad" if it's "just a fantasy". I just feel like society is becoming increasingly insane.
