Sure. I am in a good place now. I addressed this exact issue with my husband and made it clear, especially because we are both working people bringing equal income, we are going to be equally involved in childcare, and get equal amount of time to ourselves. We started at 90/10 and I’m fairly confident to say it is now almost flat 50/50. My friends who were unable to change this dynamic are utterly miserable or filed for divorce. I do challenge every man in this post to genuinely ask themselves w…

You don’t need to mansplain my experience and the experience of many women to me. It’s not universal but it is extremely common. I don’t expect to find support in this group. I shared my take as a woman and yall can have fun rehashing things here. Just remember it’s a male loneliness epidemic out there, not the other way around. And it’s for a reason.

Please go and visit other subreddits where every day all day mothers are reporting this exact behaviour. It is absolutely a very common pattern. I didn’t say every issue in parenthood is due to a man checking out or that good fathers don’t exist. But dads checking out is extremely extremely common. This subreddit can live in denial and I’ll leave you to it.

Your experience is very different from mine and anyone I know. But fair enough.

Woman here and I’ll tell you why. Any woman who becomes like this is like this because the man does not pull his weight. We don’t need “help”, we need equal partnership. We need time to sleep and shower. We need time to see our friends. To have this time, the man must have the baby the other half of the time. If she’s stay at home mom or on leave, she will have the baby 9-5 but after that it’s your shared responsibility. Every friend I have who despises their spouse and acts this way has the exa…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
