tbh, I think having kids younger is a great idea if you can manage the partner and the resources. you take a 10 year hit to your early career instead of your mid - late. I don't know how the fuck you manage any of it in America in 2024. I didn't earn enough for an emergency fund until I was 40.

gender roles are a restrictive corset. find your passions, embrace them publicly, do not look back

You're not ok right now, and that's understandable. You will be ok, take care of yourself and thank fuck you don't have kids. Find some hot barista to fantasize about and look forward to independence and another chance to find yourself. You are love, you'll find someone to share life with again.

I mean, ymmv, that's how old I was when I learned these lessons, now I don't need them anymore. Now I just have to deal with signals out of the blue.

having fun is anything but passive. i agree tho. if you do nothing, you will get nothing.

meh, that's such a sad zero-sum view of things. there are guys who do the same thing. if you are having fun, you're fun to be around. if you're stuck in your head strategizing and trying to win, that's no fun, and nobody wants to hang with someone who is no fun.

Take the pants off the table, that's just your excuse for inaction. It's more comfortable to be nervous than to have a low stakes conversation? That's the great thing about not approaching with sexual intent, you have little to lose, you're not offering yourself like a free hooker, it's just fun. Have fun. You have the rest of your life to worry and fret about things nobody but you cares about.

No, it's not do nothing, make friends with women, including ones you don't want a relationship with, but are fun to be around. After some time, look for signals that they're interested. If they are not imaginary, they're real and you should proceed with operation bedding.

chill, go live your best life, I didn't get a girlfriend until I had lots of female friends. do platonic stuff, hikes, food, etc. but keep in mind that female friendship is different then dudes, so you probably won't want "one of the guys" type of relationships. women are all about secrets, men are about power, same thing really. when you have a few female friends, they become aware of each other's existence and talk about why you're single. from there, one of em decides to nab you. key is to no…

your life still belongs to you, you just make choices with your kid in mind. having a business in their young years could pay off massively later, bc you can spend time with them. or it might not and you gotta job. idk, as a dad, I play more video games and smoke more weed now then I ever did before. I attribute that towards every other spare moment going to work and child. I'm also very tired, so learning and starting a business are just not things I can deal with right now. it's also highly de…

Your worth isn't determined externally. Just being alive and having a body makes you worthy and capable of bliss and love.

Good news, your life begins at 18 with a second birth into independence. You've already been through the kind of shit that would destroy other men. I don't know anyone who made it through being a teenager without getting depressed. Nobody knows how you spent your childhood, go do what makes you feel good in your skin. You have the rest of your life to live.

Seems short sighted, the folly of youth. Every action has a reaction and nothing happens without consequence. Sure, you might not get instant retribution for edgelord commentary, but the downstream effects of who wants to hang out with you and why can't be avoided.

The punishment in this case is worse then the crime. Those nails will fuck up so many tires, way beyond hers. Please don't do this. Anyone who does this should be used as a handicapped parking space.

Meditation and drugs are two different paths to a similar place, a shift in consciousness and perspective allowing you to gain insight. One of these, you are in control, you are independent of external substances, and it takes a tremendous amount of discipline to achieve mental mastery. The other, you are not in control, you are dependent on an external source, and your consciousness is enslaved to a chemical. So if quick growth is the aim, perhaps drugs are a good way to get there. If your pers…

I'm thinking channelling the abundance of sexual energy into creative pursuits is the only way to cope with the situation.

why are you attacking me and not the substance of what I am saying. yes we are all human and capable of affection. in my experience of the world, I see women using affection as a currency more then an expression of kindness. you can't discount my experience. im coming here for insight.

Moderately successful. I can woo with ease. I'm in a place where I can detect the conditional bs affection, it's cold. I'm in a LTR right now, but I've started down this train of thought, and it's fucking with me.

Outdated beliefs In the form of sharp blades scissoring out delicate genital tissue hours after being born. At least it didn't give me the herp along the way... damn rabbis.

Circumcision was also designed to reduce pleasure from sex and masturbation. And it does quite well at that point, removing 1/3rd of the penis nerve endings. I'm just tired of people getting up in arms about fgm, but ignoring the same ritualistic practice in their own backyards.

Yes, as a man, you are expected to just suffer in isolation. If you can't find a group, start one. Maybe you can find intimacy in other hobbies and groups that aren't centered around sexual violence.
