I see your point, though it would change things. MGTOW wouldn't exist if it wasn't for the dissatisfaction men feel in relation to women and current gender politics/norms. As for the implication that I'm not in control of my choices...I am. Were I not, I wouldn't have sworn off women.

I really don't know honestly. I've got a shit ton of trust issues and women kind of annoy me right now. Would like kids some day, but I can't see much hope of that ever happening with the way women are these days.

He does seem to have a fascination with plate spinning, though I get the impression, that in relationships he's talking about a more nuanced way (having female friends or something). Seems like a lot of effort in general though just to stop a woman from cheating/leaving. I can't help but think the advent of dating apps and social media has significantly impacted women's levels of entitlement in many respects. Too many options, too easy to cheat with someone perceptibly better.

It has to turn political simply because of the legal injustices taking place. The idea that things will level out once women realize men of worth are unattainable is unrealistic too. In my experience, the majority of men do not see this future and many, single as they may be, are stuck chasing either a fairy tale or lust driven conquest. Any attempt to challenge the futility of their aims given the costs and competition usually results in being called a fag or misogynist. This is what I mean when I say we're heading towards something approximating Japanese culture. Some notable differences in causes, but I foresee a similar result. I have no idea how long it will take for this all to reach a critical point, but it's certainly alarming and I wish more people could see the damage to society this will cause further down the line. It's really not good.

My guess is that we're heading towards something approximating Japanese culture. I can't speak to how feminism has effected society there (I can't imagine that much), but with house prices rising, inflation and heavy competition in the job market, I can't see how most men are going to partner up.
