You obviously are not going to get the most objective advice here. Only you know what you want, anyways.

Honestly I think it’s better to let women believe they can have babies at 40 than to let them be pressured into jumping the gun too soon because they heat the clock ticking. As much as it would suck to kiss out on having a pregnancy, at least that way no one is bringing the responsibility of life into the world before they’ve made up their mind on what they want.

Pursuing independence doesn’t kill off feminine energy. You’re right, women are expected to do it all and it isn’t fair. But yeah, you should have skills and education. You never know how things will turn out and one day your kids will be grown. It’s not about letting fears run your life, but just being prepared for the worse case scenario.

Your SIL isn’t going after the respilled life and honestly that’s okay. Just avoid her at all costs. If she confronts you just tel her you are not seeking that influence in your life and you have the right to exercise your own autonomy by choosing who you want to spend time with. Allow your husband to continue being around her- it’s probably good for her to have a supportive person in the family she can trust. But you don’t have to be a part of it.

I seriously second avatar the last air bender (best for older kids/young teens) -protagonists are spirited and the male main character is fun and humorous but also courageous and true to his morals -the show handles complicated themes, such as abuse, war, forgiveness, and genocide with honesty, but nuanced enough to be appropriate for younger audience -Overall good storytelling (no “filler” episodes to shorten your child’s attention span) and simple/nice animation style

Yes, it raises a red flag. He doesn’t really respect you if he keeps things from you just to avoid conflict. Snooping wasn’t justified, but I agree with others here saying he is the one who needs to make it up to you.

I won’t say looks don’t matter, but there are a lot of things that matter way more when finding a partner. Men might be more physically attracted to younger women but still appreciate the maturity/self-assurance/stability of slightly older women. I’m just speculating, but I know the guys in my life never had an age requirement when looking for relationships and mostly end up with women around their own age. Unless you want a huge family it seems pointless to seek out a younger woman for looks, w…

Okay, sorry for not normalizing men being attracted to 14-year-olds??

Idk, all of my siblings got married in their 30’s to partners in their 30’s and that’s how it’s trending with my friends too. Yeah they aren’t as attractive but it works out because both people are after the same things. And really, it’s not like you look like roadkill when you turn 30. Also, all of my siblings have kids. I am the only outlier having gotten married at 25. My husband and I will likely stay child free. It could be harder to achieve a RP relationship at that point because RP men mi…

Yep, so let’s not get this confused. A man more attracted to a young teenager than a young adult woman is a pedophile. Don’t admit to yourself that this is normal for men.

But your advice isn’t even realistic. “Discipline your kids” is not a realistic way to solve problems.

Kids with energy don’t need “discipline.” Kids are energetic in their natural state and it isn’t something to be corrected. They need stimulation and structure and OP is sick, in need of rest, with 4 kids and nowhere to go. She can’t be providing that all the time. Downvoted because I really don’t think this is the advice that OP asked for. I could be wrong, but everyone else gave empathetic, strategic advice and you’re just here giving vague, unsolicited advice on how to parent.

If you are not wearing what you like because of someone else’s conflicting advice, you are letting others gatekeep your femininity. This is not a direct insult at any one particular resource because I don’t necessarily think it’s intentional. I just thing it’s important to keep your style journey personal, unique, and intuitive.

Yes, this. More explicitly a red pill man is always going to try to find a high-value woman, whether he is high value or not, and then still expect to be the primary decision maker in the relationship. So if there are any red flags OP, get out.

A thousand times this. Enjoy the good things and really let yourself fall in love, but also see what it’s like going through trials and tribulations with your partner. At least see how you feel after the novelty has worn off.

Here’s my story. I do not consider myself a RPW, I come here because some fresh perspective is sometimes helpful... so you can choose whatever advice and experience you think applies. Also, what people give and take from a relationship is always unique. You can follow advice that says “do A B and C for him,” but I think there comes a point where you’ll know him better than anyone else and you’ll be able to anticipate his own personal preferences. Like you, I knew right away when I met my husband…

You say you just met this person? I think step 1 is to spend time with him. Before you think about being a good wife, learn how to be a good partner.

My husband has done this and I really hope it doesn’t become a pattern.

You don't have to be all pep, cheer, frills, and confetti. You should allow yourself to be tired. You can be a tired mumma and still be a kind and thoughtful wife. He should not have to give you permission to complain by asking. Just listen, let him know you are happy to see him, and be more mindful about how you complain and what you complain about. If you have friends to comiserate with, maybe make some time to spend with them so you're not boiling over onto him. You shouldn't let every little…

Isn’t being discerning and selective also a part of RPW dating strategy? How do you plan to enforce this rule? Sometimes leaving is the best option. Often people are asking about advice in early relationships with red flags, or longer relationships with toxic behavior patterns even after many efforts to change. Leaving someone before wasting too much time increases the chances of moving on to a better and lasting one. I wish someone had told me to leave the previous boyfriend I had before meetin…
