I think you're right. I'm still pretty young so my metabolism hasn't slowed much yet. It takes time for me to gain weight and I have to put a lot of effort into eating enough of the right stuff, as well as timing it around my workouts. Trying to get back into that routine now that I'm not half-marathon training anymore.

I was 6'3" 120 lbs when I was a freshman in college. I used to never eat breakfast and didn't work out cuz I didn't know how to lift properly. Now I'm 180lbs mostly muscle. In my area all we have is a planet fitness. Cheap, but no barbells. All smith machines and dumbbells. Sucks cuz you don't hit any supporting muscles when doing any of those things. It feels like cheating cuz it is. I do more presses with dumbbells now cuz the Smith machine bench just doesn't feel right. My old gym had everything but at this one it's like everything is on rails. I'm currently in a situation where I have no job and no friends in a town with pretty much no nightlife. Getting the job is step one, and whatever happens from there will basically have to play off of that. Post grad job hunt sucks.

To this day people keep telling me to join it. All of them females that already share every single instagram post on their facebook. I would delete the time sucking cesspool that is my facebook if it wasn't for event updates and stuff since a lot of acquaintances are "promoters".

When I was a senior I had success with one freshman two nights in a row. The first night I met her at a bar, the second night I just picked words carefully in texts, then we never talked again and I was cool with that. Same trick didn't work twice though. Never does for me. I go through long incel spells one of which was due to major beta behavior before I had heard of TRP. If I had TRP my freshman year, college as a whole would've gone so much differently and I wouldn't have wasted so much time…
