Elon is correct that his education wasn't really applicable to what he's doing now. That is because he picked two theoretical academic degrees economics and physics, merely good for impressing investors short of going to grad school to become a researcher. Not everyone can start up companies and have access to the investors he had access to right out of public high school. For some, working a bit in engineering, software, accounting, medicine, etc. will help give them useful experience and savin…

Because he thinks having wealthy parents who set him up in his childhood for a path to an Ivy League school, then double majoring there, somehow didn't have anything to do with his success. Yeah I'm totally sure he could have gotten just as much interest from investors by flashing a high school diploma from a random public school vs. a Wharton Economics degree and Physics degree.

Elon Musk went to UPenn/Wharton for a double major lol.

Hmm that sounds cool, though I go to a regional public university in the PNW so not sure how many of those types of jobs are available to me up here =p I was aiming to go Corporate Finance FP&A since they seemed more plentiful, and the CPA is useful for that I think especially if I want to do self employment gigs. I'd totally be up for doing investment management if that's an option however. Honestly I just pulled the median salary data for financial analyst from BLS.

Hmm, do you think I should just stay in the US for now and go big on trying to make myself financially independent, rather than getting married overseas? I like her but I'm not sure I feel comfortable leaving the US right now so young... I could try to see what type of entreprenership stuff I can do with a CPA and accounting/finance skills, and perhaps finally having money will let me do more interesting stuff/have a car which could help. I do feel like being poor my whole life has limited me an…

Hmm, would you say the $125k helps with getting a girlfriend for the long term as opposed to plates? I'm not really interested in plates at all, just want a single girlfriend and then put the rest of my energy into more fun things.

Yeah I know that's why I was asking, since I don't believe my dad on this.

Yeah I went to one a few times, they were able to get the dandruff to stop with an anti-fungal cream, however it's still a bit red (especially on the nose is where it's most red). I did laser treatment twice but it didn't improve anything so I want to wait until I've graduated and have a decent job at least before trying that further.

Yeah honestly I'd join Islam myself at this point or at least be willing to live alongside it. I'm atheist but the West is sick at the moment. I want to move.

Honestly is that such a bad thing at this point though. I think it's just nature correcting an imbalance.

The thing though is that long run it's better if people are investing instead of consuming. It's just beneficial in the short run for politicians and business leader's performance if people are blowing their resources on consumption. Also, consider switching to finance since it's more applied =p Originally planned on majoring in economics but switched to an accounting/finance double major since econ is great and all but the job you go for will likely involve looking at accounting data and making…

Yeah come to think of it when I used to post a lot on the Starcraft 2 Battle.net forums and my clan's voice calls/forums it was all guys. Miss those days =p

Ah okay. What about if you go the information systems analyst route do you think there'd be a decent amount of coding in implementing the data systems? Is your job largely equipment based?
/r/MGTOW28/04/18 10:21 PM
1

Yeah I took computer science 1 and 2 at my university. Got a B+ and B- but it was really stressful trying to figure out the algorithms to solve the puzzles by the deadline. Would you say systems/networks are a bit less difficult on the puzzle solving?
/r/MGTOW28/04/18 08:14 PM
2

Ah I see. Ya I'm kind of wondering if I should have just gone this route. I really like finance and accounting which I'm in school for now and really like the material, but I think my personality fits the computer systems fields more =p
/r/MGTOW28/04/18 07:26 PM
3

I'd recommend computer information systems, computer information security, or computer network administration. You will likely want a bachelors but I think these are more fun than most trades and often much better paying. Do first two years at community college, though sometimes you might be able to complete the bachelors there too.
/r/MGTOW28/04/18 06:13 AM

Yup as an non-highly attractive guy you ironically are probably better off going for the girl you are most attracted to. Or at least not worse off.
/r/MGTOW26/04/18 10:32 PM

Muscle or no muscle doesn't change whether you're a feminist or not. One can be mgtow without hitting the gym hard(though it's great to go if you enjoy it).

Haha ya there was this Chinese girl at my university who got with a guy in her CS major pre-reqs (the grades of which determine competitive admission to the major) and worked with him on all the assignments. Then after finishing the pre-reqs immediately dumped him lol...

Not likely unless you are incredibly attractive.

The only woman pro Starcraft player Scarlett is a transgender. Proving that it isn't gender or discrimination that's the issue, but genetic coding.
/r/MGTOW24/04/18 01:14 PM
2

Yeah that's the issue. I've actually been talking with a girl from Indonesia since before discovering MGTOW (else I wouldn't have been on the site I met her on), but she mostly wants me to move there as opposed to her move to the US. The issue though is the pay in Indonesia won't let me save much I worry even as an accountant/financial analyst (in university atm).
/r/MGTOW21/04/18 09:34 AM
2

I meant if you want them to move with you in the US. Obviously you can move overseas and I've been wanting to, but then you likely won't get paid enough to save/invest for financial independence as quick so I feel like I have to stay in the US for awhile longer.
/r/MGTOW21/04/18 07:52 AM
1

You have to marry them though...
/r/MGTOW21/04/18 03:21 AM

You still have to be attractive though lol.
/r/MGTOW21/04/18 03:17 AM
2

And the woman just shows up and gets a guy regardless.
/r/MGTOW21/04/18 01:29 AM

Unless you are in a certain percentile of looks you'll have to give something up. Better to give money/rent directly for sex than marrying.
/r/MGTOW18/04/18 11:48 PM

This makes me kind of sad that I'm not going to be a great scientist. I just don't find any of those fields interesting enough and am studying accounting/finance. I like it but it's not exactly making new discoveries either =P

I do since I'm poor, though I won't drive an hour away... that's silly.

As long as you have wealth and aren't in a contract with a woman you are less prohibited by the local laws.

Looks for non-committal sex, money for long term relationships. The trouble is that you have to make sure she doesn't get away with not having sex while still getting your resources.

It's not necessarily a terrible thing to build society up as long as you get rewarded instead of punished for it and it keeps women in check instead of living off the government and alimony/child support.

A confident ugly and poor guy is a sexual assaulter/creep.

Yup, people don't realize there isn't free trade at the moment, only free trade for other countries, but tariffs for the US. You can't get them to take away the tariffs if you don't have anything to bargain with.
/r/MGTOW12/04/18 10:27 PM

Yup, you likely aren't autistic. People (particularly women) aren't interested in you mostly due to your looks + lack of willingness or ability to spend money on or benefit them.

In fairness my anecdotal woman income tax professor from last quarter spends quite a bit of time on her profession including stuff on the side that isn't required of her to do.

Ya that's what I was thinking.
/r/MGTOW09/04/18 12:44 AM

Ya even in the above named fields a minor in math is probably all you need. After that it's largely just proof work and logic tests I think? Which I know some people claim to have been really worth it despite not being directly applied much.
/r/MGTOW08/04/18 11:27 PM
2

Ya you pretty much have to use it as a base for graduate school. IE, math -> masters or phd in econ, statistics, finance, etc.
/r/MGTOW08/04/18 04:49 PM

I'll generally just not bother agreeing or disagreeing because I don't give a fuck about changing her view.

Yes, you can fuck gorgeous women in Europe for less than $100. Even less in Eastern Europe or Asia. You are putting far too much value on something so cheap that is essentially just hormone stimulation. Everyone can afford to have sex if they really want to.
/r/MGTOW02/04/18 06:54 PM
1

So you got bad physical genetics according to women. That makes you a loser how? Your personality is shit. To women perhaps. Says who? What? Sex is worth about $40. Are you sure you're MGTOW? You seem to care a lot about what women think.

"Undesirable to the opposite gender..." Did you forget what subreddit you're on? That's a terrible metric of judging someone.

What are the divorce laws with foreign girls? Can you get completely fucked over with alimony in spite of having a prenup similar to marrying an American?
/r/MGTOW02/04/18 11:09 AM
3

Yup. Also the sad thing is that I could have started learning all this accounting, finance, and analytics stuff the day after completing 8th grade algebra -_- And since they make you take a bunch of university gen-eds it's not like you really need the high school gen-eds. Hell even if you want to be an engineer or scientist you could probably catch up on the math needed to get started within a year and then just get going.
/r/MGTOW29/03/18 01:34 PM
4

For me it's more difficult but I'm getting much better grades because I actually feel the courses are important to my career. If I could do it again I'd get a GED the moment I turned 16 and go to a community college for an associates transfer.
/r/MGTOW29/03/18 04:07 AM

I don't even bother. If I really need to get sex I'll use an escort or move to a less expensive country at some point after saving. Not going to grovel over worthless scraps.
/r/MGTOW28/03/18 07:15 AM

It's because they are purposely hiding the difference between individual and household income. Look at the graph again for individual income white guy from a middle income household vs white girl, and then for household income. He's over 2x as likely to have a rich income than her. However her ability to simply marry a rich guy results in her household income being more likely to be rich than him.

I really don't want to act like a peacock for girls... just want to do what I want to do.
/r/MGTOW22/03/18 09:17 PM

Yes you do, whether you choose to act on it... perhaps you don't. However we're not going to risk it when the laws are such that if you do, it can fuck us over.

You have the same genetic evolutionary programming to cheat for better genes or end the relationship for better resources/social status.
/r/MGTOW15/03/18 03:55 PM

I'd recommend having more than $5k a year average in passive income which could vary year by year before trying to live off it and travel if you're 21. Best to let it grow while you work for a few more years, and learn a skill or trade if you haven't yet.

Isn't that based on tests of kids at an age where women actually hit development a bit quicker but then don't progress as well after?
/r/MGTOW10/03/18 07:46 PM

Men are more likely to be homeless not due to lack of intelligence but because they don't have inherent social value from having a vagina.
/r/MGTOW10/03/18 11:27 AM
6

Also I feel it helps when you have some money. Did the traveling thing as a broke person, it was ok, but I'd rather wait until I have a bit more money after graduating than sleep in run down hostels with other people and be limited on what you can do. I don't need a luxury hotel or anything but my own room would be nice. Otherwise I'd rather just be at home playing vidya.
/r/MGTOW10/03/18 02:12 AM

I really only want to have sex with and play with their bodies. About it. That and I'll obviously be friendly with them in a school/work setting, etc. So prostitutes/maaaaybe sugar babies it is.
/r/MGTOW09/03/18 10:41 AM

Funny because Operations Managers are on the same level as financial analyst, accountant, information systems, etc. People generally go through a lot of the same business school courses for it. They just generally work at the ground level (often times a factory) executing the mission.

Yup, got turned down from getting food stamps since I was a university student and therefore ineligible. Said I would need to have kids to still be eligible...

A. Who has time to chase girls, it's extremely boring. B. Only works if you meet a certain level of genetic looks. The above doesn't really work for me.
/r/MGTOW08/03/18 02:02 AM

How do you feel about accounting and finance? I am a lot better at these majors than STEM/trades... but worry I'm possibly making a mistake.
/r/MGTOW08/03/18 12:01 AM

What, those are the girls I actually wouldn't mind dating. The ones that pull their own equal weight. Wouldn't marry still.
/r/MGTOW03/03/18 09:56 PM

Eh it was more a comment on reselling things. Most people aren't going to make money reselling something exactly the same way it was bought. You're right about the consumerism stuff.
/r/MGTOW01/03/18 03:05 PM
1

No I'm saying the vast majority of sneaker obsessed people are not making money.
/r/MGTOW01/03/18 02:42 PM

"Reselling" sneakers isn't adding value to the economy, for every person who makes money reselling a sneaker, someone is getting fucked on the price. Sneakers can only deteriorate over time from usage.

It's eugenics. The government takes from the intelligent to pay for the breeding of the unintelligent.

/r/MGTOW25/02/18 12:44 PM

Well yes, too horny for their own good.
/r/MGTOW24/02/18 10:37 PM

Well it depends. You do have to be yourself in that you can't live your entire life around what you think others like. If you don't find guitar fun for example don't try to pretend you enjoy it just to get a girl, and don't buy a specific car just for the purpose of getting girls either... Focus on yourself, learn a useful skill, build a business in something that you are good at/don't mind doing, stay in shape, participate in the hobbies you enjoy, etc. So yeah you can't just be a loser sitting…
/r/TheRedPill22/08/17 08:52 PM
1

Again, it depends, are you interested in an engineering field? I enjoy the creative process of making interesting programs and artificial intelligence is cool as fuck. Maybe someone else likes to work on airplanes in an aerospace program... saying "engineering" is somewhat broad. Also as someone doing a dual computer science and finance degree I haven't had trouble finding outgoing people in the computer science department in the slightest, if anything the business classes are full of people who…
/r/askTRP14/02/17 07:25 AM
1

Umm, do you not enjoy engineering, and do you honestly believe engineering is full of aspies? Also are you seriously going to university to party? You don't need university for that. And what do you mean by fun/interesting. Homework is still homework, better be worth spending time on.
/r/askTRP14/02/17 05:18 AM
1

How much time do you have to put into getting girls at that age? Not a big fan of that myself at all though if it's fairly easy to get girls as you get older provided you keep lifting/stay in shape and work on your career then that would be cool I guess.
/r/askTRP14/02/17 04:08 AM
1

Like, if you're talking about luck and fate. If Tom Brady had been born 5'8'' instead of 6'4'' or had been born somewhere outside the US or many other factors he also would have never made the NFL even if he were to be the same person in every other way.
/r/askTRP14/02/17 04:02 AM
1

Yeah, I just mean in general. I'm worried that I'll marry someone and then not be attracted to them at all regardless of how well she takes care of herself... like that'd be kind of messed up for her too. So I'm wondering if there's a general age where you can limit that or something?
/r/askTRP14/02/17 01:52 AM
1

You could have written this a lot quicker... what if he was 5'8'' or born in Canada?
/r/askTRP14/02/17 01:43 AM
1

True. I think what you're trying to get at is if I don't feel good about myself then no girl would either. For me feeling good about myself would be to not have to worry about money anymore, have the ability to not be really stuck in one place (not even having car insurance is a problem here), and also have a really good muscular build, which I still feel like I'm not quite there yet. If I was the type of person that could feel comfortable without the above things, then maybe I'd have less probl…
/r/askTRP06/02/17 03:31 AM

Eh to be fair I did choose my school based on it being a good location for tech. My main ambition in life honestly is to not have to worry about money and then save up enough as fast as possible to not even have to work if I didn't want to (though I probably would still in some capacity). Basically largely /r/financialindependence. I basically want freedom from being owned by anyone... whether that's the business you work for (who you rely on for income), parents (who you maybe have to live with…

As in you still have to work hard but you actually start to reap the benefits?
/r/askTRP04/02/17 09:39 PM

Ya that's the plan. Goal for the next 3 years is to graduate and hopefully get a good paying job and be obese level bmi while still low fat (currently just breaking the overweight barrier). To be honest my main motivation recently has been that if I can get that job after graduating then I'll no longer feel so limited by money which has been something I've felt all my life and will also have more freedom of movement capability which would give access to girls from anywhere in the world. Which I'…
/r/askTRP04/02/17 09:23 PM

True. I told her straight up I was poor because of being a student and the response was "me too :D, but someday we will right?" Also said I probably couldn't go to Indonesia due to no money. So I guess she could still consider me richer than the average Indonesian =P
/r/askTRP29/12/16 02:58 PM

She doesn't want to leave Indonesia supposedly at least. Just wants me to vacation in Bali with her, was trying to adjust her vacation to my schedule, etc. but I told her I probably can't afford to go so she just messages me a bunch/asks to video chat. Dunno could all be a trick to get me to marry her?
