It's a bit late but wanted to thank you for this comment. It was really beautiful and hopeful. Dating and finding romance is such a hopeless, soul-crushing endeavour. Your comment introduced some hope into my perespective. Hope is still low because I get rejected at the end regardless of the approach or the situation, but we'll see. Maybe one day before it's too late

Well yeah I was bad at that I agree I'd take way too long to make my desires clear, but I've improved and now make it clear quite early on. I know how to initial the physical touch and the signals of whether someone's comfortable or not. But it's still the same death loop. Different types of people, different nationalities and personalities, it ends the same. I don't know if it's bad luck or I'm doing something terribly wrong. I've taken advice from my more experienced guy friends but still no. …

Thanks man Yeah I've learned the hard way to be less simpy and more decisive, but the same thing keeps happening. I have focused on other things. I've been running 5k since last year (Did 6k for the first time yesterday). I've been going to gym consistently for 8+ months. I'm flourishing in university, good friends. But this one area is just dead, and you can't kill the desire for intimacy. There's just the inner drive to get tortured again and again lol.

that would be mad in reality but it is a really good solution mathwise

I agree with you. I didn't say anything to the contrary of your post. I just said much of the reason you see this randomness is luck and circumstances. That goofy dude was probably lucky enough to be in a friends group with that woman, or been coworkers, or classmates, etc.

There's not a clear line between the two. There's no defined buzzer that buzzes when you're going to do something you think is normal and nice, but in the eyes of someone else might be too much and submissive.

A lot of it is luck and circumstances. We all want to believe in the just world fallacy, especially when it comes to dating, but it's simply not true. Some dudes run into compatible women at the right place and right time in their lives, while others don't, and might never will. A really cool compatible woman might be living two apartments from me, but I'll never get the chance to meet her if circumstances don't end up that way. Another guy might end being classmates with a compatible girl and t…

But you can't train with dating and relationships the same way you can in sports. Yes socializing helps, but you can't become more confident or better when you can't even get a date

Some people get to have it, some people don't. I'm in the latter. I'm 24, I'm tall, I have a lot of women friends, and I'm not awakward, but I'm giving up on the concept of relationships for me. I keep getting rejected or things don't work out in the most Looney Tunes ways possible, while others with far less social skills and less interesting personalities fall ass backwards into relationships. I've had so many cute/intimate moments and events with my failed talking stages that would be obvious…

100%. In the past 14 months I've met two amazing girls who I vibed with amazingly, we talked for hours, we even went out a few times, but neither of them led to anything because of factors out of our control. The first one I was leaving the country to study abroad, it was just doomed. The second one she had arrived a couple of months ago, she is still trying to settle down and is stressed and is just drowning under the weight of life. So much of it is luck. For someone else they might not be lea…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
