As an American I don't know if that is August 2nd or February 8th. I think the reason US does MM/DD/YYYY is because that is how it is spoken in day to day life. Someone called me out on it that we say 4th of july and my reasoning is that the 4th is like a proper noun so we revert to the proper pronunciation but in general we use the lazy way or the fastest way MM/DD/YYYY

The reason people use that format is because that is how you say it. I guarantee that even though you prefer DD/MM/YYYY in conversation you say it as MM/DD/YYYY. No one says i was born in 1952 in march on the 5th day. Few people would say I was born on the 5th of march 1952. Most would say i was born on march 5th, 1952.

They act like it takes 10 hours a day to clean house. If you maintain a schedule you can clean one room a week on a rotating schedule and never spend more than 30 minutes a week doing it. Edit: I also want to say clean up is easier when you do not have thousands of items you have to clean around.
