I think a lot of this discussion is complicated by what we actually mean by approach, often its not black and white on who is putting themself out there more than the other. I think I've had way more success with women than the average guy so I'm not ugly, but I specifically remember stone cold approaches had an awful success rate. You at least need some eye contact, then maybe you'd both go to the bar and get a drink at the same time or walk past each other and say hi and see what kind of hi yo…

Really in 2026? What does that even look like?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/26 08:33 AM

Sounds like you're really trying because tattoos and makeup are such a turn-off for most men.

I don't really see how one thing trains you for the other. It's good to need someone and feel needed and necessary rather than just an accessory.

So everyone should assume they will die alone, anything more is entitlement. Welcome to 2026 everyone!

11 year old boys aren't usually thinking about pussy. They are told in this advice that doing these things will make the girls happy. And because boys aren't the demonic gremlins you seem to think, a lot of them actually do want to make the girls they're thinking about happy. This needs to be repeated above every post in this sub. When I think about when I was going through puberty as a teenager the idea you were wanting some kind of one night stand is so laughable. I used to fantasise about hav…

I agree that gentle parenting is terrible and the root of many ills in modern society. Many young people don't want to put themselves in uncomfortable situations ever and this leads to them being work shy. Gentle parenting teaches that you should never be angry with your children never tell them no always be sensitive and act like that have a valid opinion on things. This is nonsense and not what children need at all it lacks structure. The big problem with your post is that the parents who are …

I'm not saying the mockery happens a lot but I don't think this is a good defence.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/26 09:58 AM

Very obscure example and if those women don't exist then its not a thing. I wouldn't call those (hypothetical) damaged women toxic anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/26 07:34 AM

This narrative is irrelevant for most men I’m talking about women who are like the prettiest in their class and the most popular. It cant be all men going after those women and also getting in a relationship with them then realising they're narcissists. I reject that there are enough toxic women for this to even be a thing. The one toxic woman I dated was not even in any of the ways you describe it was more trauma related to her childhood I think, she wasn't the type to get a tonne of attention.…

Amber Heard? Literally perfect example, everyone took her side until all the evidence to the contrary came to light.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/26 01:00 PM

Is men having preferences for toxic women even a thing? The only time I even hear about toxic women in relationships on here is attractive women that have developed narcissistic personalities by the stupid amount of attention they’ve had their whole lives (from both men and women). Men are attracted to those women in spite of their toxicity not because of it.

The idea the other 10 percent are admitting it on dates as well is hilarious! Some of the stuff that gets said on here is so disconnected from reality.

Not saying it is either genders fault more than the other but this is yet another example of how we have seriously f**ked dating. I feel so sorry for y'all having to experience it now. When I was single I dated a lot in the old world. The idea of "working for it" never entered my mind I put in lots of effort called/texted them, I enjoyed contacting them and getting to know them, dating was fun. I never once had different expectations of a woman based on how attractive they were even though I was…
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/26 08:50 AM

Part of your issue may be describing dating as a housing issue... As I said previously "Many people deny the framing and that's where the debate comes in." Women don't like analogies in general I find. My point was that a negotiation means you can get the best possible person you can get. Calling it settling only describes half the equation. Also what I didn't mention before is that person needs to get those love chemicals firing. The theory is that people are dismissing partners before giving t…
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/26 08:24 AM

If real life this never happens it reminds me of in Romcom people have the break up arc because of some ridiculous and dumb misunderstanding it would never happen they'd makeup the next day. In real life people are vulnerable once their boxes are ticked, especially once a relationship is established. If you meet someone perfect those love hormones are going to be firing, there's no cynicism because that’s literally what love is thinking someone is perfect.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/26 03:06 PM

Bingo, you put it perfectly. Every other comment is concentrating on the tribal aspect of communities rather than the evolutionary psychology behind some aspects of RP.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/26 02:52 PM

I think casual sex culture is a problem for average and below men mainly because it makes women assume that men think the same way as they do. Women only have sex with people that are good enough to be bf material so they assume they're thought of in as high regard to the man but they’re not. Then comes the wasted years of them waiting around for an LTR of the same level as their casual sex partner. That's the theory anyway.

Seconded from a long time happily married man a close group of friends and hobbies. Being single is shit it used to be uncontroversial to say that.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/26 01:47 PM

RP is literally all about improvement advice "earn more" "just lift bro" "tidy your room". Those are the things people should be focussing on, not the misogyny.

You sound like a horrible person you took genuine critical points very badly. Also stop saying 'you' like you're giving me advice. I'm much older than you and been happily married for 20 years I also dated a tonne before that and had fairly easy success as I'm way above average myself. But none of that means I can't see some people have it genuinely hard.

This is the whole red vs blue debate, if getting into a relationship is like buying a house then saying you don't want to settle is like saying ur not willing to negotiate the price EVER, but if this means you never ended up buying somewhere because you always get outbid, then was it a win or an L? Many people deny the framing and that's where the debate comes in.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/26 11:10 AM

It kind of sounds like you're hearing concerns of men who have less success than you and you're just dismissing them. You're probably above average but you think you're not. My group is the similar in terms of success and definitely above average socially, but it's taken me a while to realise this. There are plenty of guys who got left behind due to reasons not necessarily their fault maybe covid or they just didn't have close friends at school or they lost touch. Don't dismiss them just because…

We're going off on a tangent. All RP side needs to prove is that being ruthless is an advantage in the animal world and that women look for this gene to replicate in their offspring (subconsciously obviously).

Can someone give a practical example of what you mean by leading? Like say we're moving house or booking a trip then its a discussion one person can be the driver as in putting in more effort but I’m not sure I'd call it leading or taking charge. My wife sometimes gets stressed and dramatic about things like the kids minor health issues or I dunno extreme weather, and I say ahhh it will be fine and she's often appreciative of my calmness but I wouldn’t call that leading either.

That is the sanitised list, women always say stuff they don't mean. I'd say being 'loud, weird and hyperactive' probably covers it more. If it was what you say above women would just date slightly older (even more than they always have).

This is a great point because being a shy woman/socially awkward isn't unattractive to men.

Doesn’t that depend what you mean by the RP? It's got a terrible PR in the mainstream so no one admits that there is any truth behind any of it. Also there's no bible so it's hard to get a consensus even from self proclaimed RP'ers. I would argue that if you think being rich and good looking is important and being a nice guy isn't then you admit RP gets some things right. Most men even so called BP on here follow RP advice in their own dating life without knowing it.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/26 03:34 PM

That's lacking a lot of nuance, in chimp societies the males organise hunting parties for meat. It was also the meat which eventually separated humans from animals by leading our brains to grow many times the size. So we cant underestimate the importance of male provided resources in evolution.

I don't watch any of the crap you're referring to and I don't identify as RP but I guess a possible explanation would be it's being able to afford to pay her bills that makes you a chad. Whether you do it or not is academic. If you do it when you cant afford to its not a win in the long term. If she knows you easily could then not doing so gives her carrot to keep her interested. Not saying I agree with any of that but I guess there is some sort of logic. Personally I don't think you need to try…

I don't think that makes much difference. Say you swapped the mate values in accordance with gender so Jenny is a rich man and Forrest was not rich but not poor very stable and attractive monogamous female, then male jenny disappears and returns after losing all his money and comes back and dumps the child on her. I know plenty of women... So you have no actual experience of what it feels like. Do you have a serious career? Yes but what does that have to do with anything? If you bothered to read my previous comment you would see that my point was I didn't give up work but my wife would have whole heartedly supported it if I had because many other mothers would feel the same. Day care is all well and good but getting them ready and dropping them off then travelling to your job, and being on time is a huge …

I think describing it as secretly obsess over is over complicating it. Men are attracted to a variety of women including their partners. Sometimes they might fantasise about other women but that's because biology encourages men to seek variety.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/26 08:54 AM

The fact you're arguing these individual points is ridiculous. You suggested a general trend which points to a structural issue but you want to blame each man individually. Please just admit it was a rather silly argument.

There's no law that women are capable of understanding the way men feel about their own masculinity. Men can't understand the concept of objectification being so offensive to women - we're just different.

I sometimes think this view of being uber obsessed with womens looks (the kind of men who say Sidney Sweeney isn't that pretty) comes from men with very little experience of actually having sex with real women. I've slept with a lot of women of all different shapes and sizes, the best experiences weren't with the ones who looked the most like they could be some bombshell model its much more down to the overall experience. Nearly all womens bodies are sexy even as they get older, its a non issue …

The ones on here have had bad experiences with men and seem to have an axe to grind, they're not a great rep sample of women IRL that you might date.

I'm talking in the hypothetical but with ACTUAL life experience. I didn't choose to give up work for any of my kids but my wife would have been very thankful if I had. Not every woman sees pregnancy the way you're obsessed with seeing it. Most don't. Not sure what nonsense has brainwashed you into thinking about it as some kind of awful thing - in that case just don't have kids. Also I don't get your obsession with breastfeeding? They're capable of doing otherwise but that's how it is right now. If none of them are doing it then whether they're capable is irrelevant. They should probably just stick to gender stereotypes.

What incentive would a woman have to form this dynamic with you? One where she has to do all the work of childbirth and breastfeeding as well as work full time to support you? I think you're setting the bar too high, there are plenty of women who would never give up their careers to be a SAHM so the alternative to the husband doing it would be nursery which gives a lot of mums extreme guilt. If the man is willing to do it then it would be a huge comfort to her. The man working while the woman is…

You make it sound like you don't work and never plan to, somehow using house husband as an excuse. Most stay at home dads have careers too they just put them on hold for a few years while kids are young. When all are school age they can start to do some work and once kids are much older they would be crazy not to get a full time job of some sort. Most cases now it's not clear cut it might be the man goes part time while kids are pre-school age while the mother doesn't because she is unable in he…

I would always pay just because its easier (guess that makes me more agreeable) but I disagree on the narcissitic and dark triad stuff. I guarantee that controlling possessive and eventually violent men will be much, much more likely to pay not less likely. Its the same with paying for other men I find it kind of annoying at work and other social situations the guys with huge egos always want to buy drinks for other people.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/26 03:10 PM

socially awkward and shy, or have deep issues with the way men perceive them. These are mental struggles, but certainly not indicative of psychological instability. Per women and genuine options, they have access to the same number of genuine options as they've ever had. They have the same options but the whole dynamic has changed beyond all recognition. It used to be that you would go into a bar and a woman would make eye contact then you'd go and talk to her. Or you might just get talking to people naturally. It required much more effort than a dating app from both sides it was also much better at filtering for genuine connection. There is no pressure for…

Ironically beauty and the beast is a very interesting one when it comes red pill. He owns a huge castle and he's massive. It pretends that it's about overcoming superficiality but it wouldn't work if he was short, fat, bald and poor.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/26 08:17 AM

Using the argument of violent and abusive men as proof that being a nice guy is not an attractive quality is not saying that being evil is attractive it's pointing out that having morals is a neutral. No one is claiming that being abusive is the way to go they're saying that it proves that their problem is not that they are 'not nice enough'.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/26 04:06 PM

Personally I don't think that the current situation for dating benefits women more than the previous one. I think that there benefits to women are all short term and come with trade off’s. They've suddenly been presented with a bunch more options than they had before which gives them not only an ego boost but also seems like higher levels of physical attraction. But the trade off is that these options are not as genuine as options in the old world.

There’s advantages and disadvantages for everybody I agree that we just have to suck it up and accept it but the above is implying it evens itself out overall (just world fallacy). It doesn't, for many it's very tough, I'm rich and good looking but also on the spectrum (hey you can't have it all) but if I was poor and ugly as well, I'm pretty sure my life would be terrible. Which is the reason I find this sub very interesting.

You're saying his life would be the same whether with single or in a relationship or not, but why should it be different? (I'm assuming you mean it should be different as in worse). Also, I'm not talking about relationships where both partners work.

The real answer is it has to be subtle. Often women are not very good at understanding male social interactions. They can't even tell when there is bullying going on often some guy might be overly friendly to some socially awkward guy and a woman watching will genuinely think 'he's being nice' but he's just being annoying and pushy.

I dunno I'm willing to accept its only a minority of women but I actually think a history of violence is a pull factor. A small minority is still more than are attracted to the vast majority of men. I once got beaten in a bar and while I was outside covered in blood waiting for my friends to come out I got more attention from women than ever before. /r/PurplePillDebate15/06/26 08:09 AM

I thought the problem was obvious, more men get left out of the dating game than women. I don't know what the solution is but I know its not trash talking those men.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 02:57 PM

Men are solutions based much more than women, they try things and then repeat what works. For most men it does work, and personally I believe most men are red pill without realising it, not all the manipulative or sexist nonsense but just self improvement maximising looks and working on your resources = attractive to women. The discussion is that some men are left behind even though they've tried everything and nothing works and its shitty. We can acknowledge that without saying "it must be thei…
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 01:57 PM

I think the counter argument is that some women are not a happier alone, possibly including some who say they are. I'm not talking about women on this sub I'm talking about women in general so don't rush to give me anecdotes.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 01:51 PM

You’ll never get anywhere with this on this thread. Women would sooner lay down and die before they admit there is a personality correlation. It's not even an insult to women it's just biology, it is what it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 10:35 AM

Definitely more likely to come from a boyfriend than a blood relation.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 10:32 AM

The reason isn't that they aren't physically strong enough or that they skipped their kickboxing class! It's that they'd probably be arrested and also society doesn't tend to jump to violence as quickly as in the past which has its advantages, above is probably one of the small number of disadvantages.

This is a cope... You can't SEE the dishes? You can't see your wife cleaning the bathroom or cooking dinner? I love the way I talk about chores and you've extrapolated loads of nonsense. I do nearly all the cooking including for our 3 kids. I also do nearly all the grocery shopping because even though we get paid the same my job is super chill and from home where as hers is intense and long hours. Oh and we have a cleaner that does the bathrooms so she doesn't do that either.

Men will do all those things, the difference is when they wake up on a Saturday most will want to relax first for a bit while women will wake up bouncing around and be like "right lets reorganise the kitchen cupboards".

They'll wait it out long enough that their partner always ends up doing it. That feels unfair. My ex was like that. I know a lot of women feel like the man is doing this on purpose but he's not he genuinely cant see it a lot of the time. I just think men and women are different. Like I literally do chores just so my wife doesn't moan not because I have some feeling that they need to be done. What does it mean to be in touch with your emotions to you? Do women even know what it looks like in a man? It's not as if men like the way a woman is emotional, crying and having breakdowns etc. its not all good-stuff or easy. Not sure what you're imaging some tv drama style interaction, good will hunting? Men are constantly encouraged to open up then when they do they're immediately shut down - especially on this sub ironically (but women...). Women want men to open up on exactly their terms.

Women enjoy sex but usually only as part of a monogamous relationship. I think one thing that's never mentioned especially not on here is that being promiscuous is something that even men have a love hate relationship with. They enjoy it at the time but then after they feel dirty probably similar to women but not as extreme. Then why bitch about dating? If people were only allowed to speak on issues for self interest then the world would be a very dumb place. And I noticed it’s mostly self-inflicted problem. It's definitely not. Most men will never get pretty privileged no matter how hard they try. It's a scale though isn't it. Naa this is yet another post attributing failure with women to individuals personality rather than looks or other systemic issues. Or in other words just world fallacy. You also assume all the 'whiny men' here are single. Its only some who are. I'm happily married and before that had always done quite well with women. I did however see a lot of things that made me realise how dating is so difficult for men if they were not born with arbitrary physically attractive characteristics.

But that definition doesn’t mention women being oppressed, I thought that was the main part of it's definition. We've had female leaders before (in the UK) and its not like society changed for women in any meaningful way during those periods. Value contact with women way too much: Don't think you get to decide how important women are to men. Thankfully I am happily married a long time, before that I did a lot of dating. Exactly it's a complete nonsense. It could be used on literally any attractive attribute and then claimed that somehow its not real. 'She only likes you for your sense of humour so it's not real love!' Love is a chemical reaction in the brain that happens after you meet a person you want. The reason you want them is completely irrelevant the brain does the rest. Otherwise there wouldn't be so many successful relationships of rich men with hot wives in my town.

Creepy is a charged word so it makes it sound like the man is breaking some law in a subtle way but say you change it to 'annoying'. You're basically asking men to be miserable for their whole lives for fear of being annoying for 30 seconds to a handful of women.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 11:18 AM

Actually I'd say they are as selfish as each-other they just have different goals. Women’s goals are more about nesting and creating a safe happy long term environment. Men's is more about instant gratification.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 08:37 AM

Sounds like a very old fashioned analysis. Socialisation has zero to minimal effect. I live in a very liberal and progressive area, schools and nurseries have been making sure not to stereotype children by gender for like 20 years. And guess what boys and girls turned out exactly the same as they did before that was a thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 08:24 AM

Interesting post as I'd say its the opposite, its become a lot more normal to have female friends now than it used to be. I'm 42 and don't have any female friends (apart from my wife). Of my male friends however there are 2 which do have female friends (both of these men grew up with sisters). Strangely enough they both have a terrible record with relationships while most of the other men who have no female friends are happily in LTRs.

Men assume other men are selfish because we are them - we know they are. Men are more selfish than women but it makes them efficient at doing things. Part of the reason many women in relationships are unhappy is because they're not selfish enough.

I just tire of the farcical narrative that men are just bottled up stoics. Just to clarify I'm not arguing there's anything admirable about men not discussing their emotions I just don't think if they did it would change anything. Maybe going to therapy would help but that seems a strange answer as its kind of saying that they should all just throw money at the problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 03:28 PM

Can you expand on the first paragraph, and what this actually means in the real world? I agree men are emotional but I believe not in the same way as women and they don't particularly get much out of discussing their emotions or trying to seek sympathy, otherwise they would do it. Its often said the reason they don't is because they're embarrassed but I don't see this as the case, if they enjoyed it they would do it.

a lot of child like thinking here. I'm pretty Red and believe relationships are transactional but you seem to have a huge misunderstanding of how that plays out in the real world. And even the uglies are just as bad as the chads I assure you. Just admit this is cope. It may not be a huge trend line but they're definitely less likely to cheat or take for granted mainly because of lack of opportunity. Men are no better we pick hot women over fat women for instance. Even though they're way less giving in bed (in my experience).
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 09:44 AM

What I said doesnt contradict it being a numbers game. If 5% of women in a group find you attractive those are good results for men expecially if the bar or college has like 500 people in it. The alternative method im saying would attract 0% of women. Once again the way to get female attention isn't by blending in it's by standing out, and that's not going to please everyone. The guy who blends in is litterally doing just that and women cant even see him.

A lot of this is missing the point. With most the problem isn't anyting to do with skills it's social anxiety so overcoming it is the same as overcoming other phobias like heights or flying. Probably going to therapy and listening to their techniques would be most productive, or trying hypnotherapy.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/26 01:36 PM

No because thats not how it works attracting women. If you try to please everyone you'll end up attracting no one. If it worked how you describe then edgy men would get less women than boring looking safe men.

Your whole post is moot because not all the women popped their balloons, not even more than half. I have a friend in the police who works on domestic violence cases the men have multiple convictions yet they still repeatedly get more and more women even while constantly in and out of prison. Many men would rather stay single than enter a long-term relationship with a woman they aren’t genuinely attracted to. For casual sex, sure, a lot of guys might lower their standards, but relationships are different. it isn't a business arrangement and it isn't about winning or what you get. This part is so true. Often the way the discussion is framed from bitter women is that the problem is the woman does more arbitrary tasks, if the man did more chores or something then it would all be fine as then the women would be 'winning'. Those things are obviously important but thats not the real reason the relationship failed.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/26 08:25 AM

While my wife is really busy with work and we're both busy with the kids I do sometimes have dreams about her, not cheating but where i'm suspicious of her, even though I never feel that way in real life. It's weird but also very unsettling, personally I don't discuss it because I feel like it would come across a bit pathetic coming from a man (cue red-pill discussion...). That doesn't mean I don't take note of underlying issues and try to make more 'us' time, romance etc.

I take it you dont use online dating regularly? As surely if that description is accurate you'd at least get a few matches and some progress to dates.

My single friend is not overweight, more than 6ft tall, has a good job. He gets like 3 dates a year. It's very hard out there. I would have thought men who are shorter and overweight would really struggle to get a single date through OLD, only difference I guess woul dbe lowered standards on their end.

Dates dont say much about a person I've been on dates with women who had 'never been on a date before'. Yet she'd had plenty of boyfriends in the past just met them through real life connections. If anything no dates but hot was a red flag, reminds me of trailer trash who get with a family friend or just whoever is around.

This is another complication that attraction for women isnt linear scale like mens attraction to women is. The 20% wouldnt be the same group of people for all women yet for men it probably would be.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/26 04:11 PM

My own personal experience supports this being the case for men. As I've got older I've put on some extra timber, when I was in my 20s I never could imagine finding overweight 50 yr old women attractive but there ya go!

Sounds like a rant - I wasn't defending him and and plus I gave women who manipulate a free pass, but all you could respond with was "but men...!"

What if he changed his mind and decided he wants that dynamic even if he didnt before? As long as he tells her and she's free to leave him what is the problem? I think hes a dumb idiot for the record and would never want that kind of relationship but I'm not sure its manipulation. I'm not sure manipulation in a relationship is some kind of gotcha, as it goes on so much from men and women, including subconciously.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/26 02:44 PM

Thats a different proposition but if we're assuming we dont know their personality yet we only know their status. I don't think successful men are more likely to have worse traits than less successful. There's obviously exceptions but on the whole the trend is more classy people are nicer treat people better etc less likely to have substance abuse issues less likely to have antisocial triats.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/26 02:38 PM

I'm broadly on your side but wanting a doctor over a janitor isn't the same as expecting someone richer and higher status than them. All things being equal most men would probably prefer a wife that was a doctor rather than a janitor.

I agree with all of that but you're not really the type of person im debating with as you've stated you accepted your reality. In the past when groups of men have accepted it society has had a problem with that.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/26 08:41 AM

But horror movies used to sexually exploit female victims all the time running away from a killer with a wet t-shirt and errect nipples for instance. But this doesn't happen anymore why are you pretending the culture hasnt changed this? Edit: As post is locked it wont let me reply to your comment below im doing my reply here. /r/PurplePillDebate18/05/26 08:20 AM

The reason it needs to be called out isnt to protect men or because men would be uncomfortable with the situation if they were the 'victim' its purely that it sends a confusing message to boys.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/26 08:16 AM

I get that but its quite a conservative message it basically means institutions and society cant be relied upon to help you, you're in this on your own. The same people will tack to the opposite when it comes to innate characteristics they were born with.

So its women taking care of the kids more. Not sure what point you're making? Although I do agree its hard for men to force women to have hobbies all the offers of solo parenting in the world can still be ignored and often are by women.

The difference is that chronically single women are more likely to go for a divorced 50 yr old for a fling or have an affair while he's still married than they are to go for chronically single man. It's not quite the 80\20 suggested for online dating but I think it still creates an imbalance.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 01:10 PM

I don't completely agree with your original premise. I think most people see single people as regular people New to the sub?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 01:00 PM

Interested to see the rebuttal on this one seems pretty cut and dry. I saw in another thread pleople saying men need to accept their not to blame but they shoudl take accountability and responsibility. WTF does that mean just using word salad to agree and disagree at the same time.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 12:59 PM

I havent dated for a long time as im married but do you find that men in the real world are aware of any of these movements or act accordingly. Even my single friends mostly have no idea what these manosphere things are. Maybe its different with younger people.

Most me these days don't do that I assure you LTR men in western countries do a lot more than they ever did. Yet they get less sex, probably because now the woman is exhausted from working. Which previous generations did less. Im not moaning about this situation, societies change it is what it is. But dont try to blame mens attitude for it.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 10:45 AM
0

I think this is correct but you're wrong in trying to somehow blame the man for it. Its nothign to do with how much the man pulls his weight if that were true married men would be getting way more sex in 2026 than married men in the past but instead its actually declining.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 10:38 AM
2

Yeah is it about money because of nannies or something? Its BS anyway because OP has no clue. Most womens sex drive totally changes after kids because of hormonal changes, being a 0.1% man is not goign to change that.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 10:31 AM
41

One thing that is a genuine point that you remind me of is that a lot of women really need to make hobbies for themselves after having children. You need lots of time together with the kids and most get that anyway but the wife needs time away from them just like the husband does. Men are good at being selfish and seeking that. Women really are not and its a problem because they're not looking after their own mental health you can try to encourage them but its difficult.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 10:29 AM
12

This is ridiculously melodramatic. Firstly Romance is fine around kids its only sex you cant do. Also just because sex is more difficult and less frequent doesnt mean life is over, sex is just litterally one thing and that's coming from a man its supposed to be us who are obessed with it. There are lots of arguments about why life is more difficult after having kids because of how much time they take up but theyre also rewarding and you're actually doing something meaningful. What else are peopl…
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 10:25 AM

Makes no sense, how can you own up to something thats not your fault. What if one of the reasosns is a physical deformity should you own up and take accountability for that too?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/26 04:06 PM

Exactly, if you extend their line of thinking to everything in the relationship not just sex then you'd have the lowest expectation in every area. Why expect her to cook for you its surely easier if she doesn't bother. Why would you ever surprise her and take her out for a date because it costs money and time and effort. Why do chores and keep the house clean when you don't love doing chores, just don't bother. Everyone in the relationship just concentrate on pleasing themselves!
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/26 03:07 PM

This will probably open another can of worms but personally I think in the real world a little bit of insecurity in a relationship is healthy - on both sides! The opposite would be you're so comfortable that you become lazy probably overweight not ambitious in your job etc. and very much take her for granted. You should want to remind your partner you are a catch all the time including when you're having sex. People can label that motivation 'being insecure' but thats putting a negative spin on …
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/26 02:40 PM

You're completely forgetting that an element of sex is about getting the other person off not just yourself. Its exactly the same as if a man said he used to frequently give oral sex to his previous gf but he refuses to give it to his current one, do you think she has a right to be a bit miffed in this situation? If so why? "He prefers to just have sex where he gets off, why would she want him to do one thing when he prefers something else?" Getting it yet?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/26 02:20 PM
1

Personally I think that's needlessly pedantic, on that logic purple wouldnt exist because its saying if you don't devoutly agree with red you're blue yet your flair is purple!
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/26 01:52 PM

This is changing words to make them creepy. No one is talking about wanting a woman to do some kind of sex act she hates, the point is he wants her to WANT to do it with him if she did it with some other guy all the time. There could be a few reasons but one of them could be something to do with attraction and thats obviously going to make any normal man paranoid.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/26 01:31 PM

Im not sure on the real situations referenced here and I completley disagree with the unloving part, however that could be a misinterpretation of what was being described by 'boring sex'. Because the reason some men might mention that is that men value loyalty over nearly anything else in a relationship. This is a human instinct it doesnt mean the relationship is going to work but theyre still programmed to do it.

Fair point although I'd say its all up for debate there isnt definitions of RP in some holy book. My definition of it would be what I said earlier. /r/PurplePillDebate13/05/26 01:09 PM

Pills are still not really mainstream and especially peoples understanding of them. Mainstrem view of red has been taken over by the most extreme views of some RP, things like you shouldn't respect women because it will mean they'll lose respect for you and other stupid stuff to do with controlling the household etc. For me I just think red means you acknowledge dating is about mate value (which is made up of different elements). Exactly, even rich celebrities who could have sex with a different woman every night without paying still mostly end up getting into a meaningful relationship over that scenario. You never see it on here but even men feel a bit empty after a one night stand. Not as much as women but they don't feel fulfilled and optimistic like you do after you just met someone you think you may have a future with.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/26 10:20 AM

You forgot blue. They think things are fair the way they are and a homeless ugly guy could date a supermodel if he just stopped being a mysogynistic asshole and was a little more sensitive to women, confident and charismatic! /Satire - but I think its somewhere in that direction.

Just a side note but why are some peoples post so long you made your argument in the first paragraph you really dont need to repeat it this many times? Your last few sentences focusing on solitary men undermines your argument about sex unless you know about their sex life. Lol clearcut example from some dumbass youtube gameshow! men have been being nice to ugly friends of girls we wanna date since we left the cave. Also tolerating the manhating cockblocker friend as best we can.

Most men are overweight losing that would make a huge difference for them. Also no women on here will agree with this but in real life most peoples personalities are already fine, the main problem is self confidence. Ironically the easiest way to fix that is to talk to a woman and her make it easy for you. I say that as someone who was shy as a kid but born handsome!
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/26 10:05 AM

Men don't want women to be themselves either example? being yourself means you need to no longer care about the opinions of those people when deciding what you do That would mean being content that they cant organically attract women. And thats what led to the Inkcel and MIGTOW movement in the first place, and guess what women had a problem with that too!

I think this plays into theries about evolutionay biology that all men are the descendents of the one man who had all 30 wives in the village during early human societies. All other men were his competition, women being able to cooperate with other women was an evolutionary advantage.

I think the reponses show this one is especially hard for women to imagine because the main reason being a man in dating is so difficult is because you're a drug addict in a world where getting drugs is very difficult (in this analogy drugs aren't just sex its a relatiohsip which includes sex as part of it). They have no idea what if feels like to want somethign that bad so imagining the second part is irrelevant.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/26 09:06 AM

If you're talking about on this sub then fine maybe, but thats not real life and doesnt really interest me because online is horrible for everything, dating, politics etc. People are awful when theyre anonymous. Also the post is about something very specific, men insulting women that they've slept with. The comments you are talking about sound like men talking about women that they are not interested in, which is still bad behaviour but its different because they didnt use those women first.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 02:21 PM

>95% of men are litterally terrible at getting women to sleep with them its kind of absurd that this could be a major problem with men. Maybe it is an issue with those 5% but im sceptical.

Which men? Please tell me you are not talking about male podcasters. Maybe Im just lucky but I've never come across anyone who talked like this and my friends are all really macho loud type people. It's why Fathers endlessly police their daughters with the whole overprotective father trope but never do it to their sons. This has nothing to do with sexual conquest bragging rights. And everything to do with physical strength imbalances between the sexes and protection against sexual assault.

You see it in the Language used when having sex. He "banged" ,"Cracked" ,"smashed" ,"blew her brains out" and "re-arranged her guts". Its always an act of humiliation or violence done to a woman that men say. I've never heard a real life man use any of those but IF some men do dont take it persoanlly. I think there is 3 categories a man is thinking while on a date, usually he'll know straight away. Im attracted to this woman it may have a long term future. Im attracted to this woman but it does not have a long term future possible FWB situation. Im not attracted to this woman. Men are just as likely to want to impress the woman in scenario 2 as they are in number 1, oddly they'll possibly want to impress them even more as they want to close it quicker. For scenario 3 I would think the man wil…

You can like mean girls, good girls, goth girls, prep girls, hot girls, social girls, etc. JUST OWN IT. Even top men dont have a type, mens type is 'attractive'. It would be litterally ridiculous to shut yourself off from a huge portion of women just because of the way she dresses.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 08:13 AM

I think it was implied in your post that you don't like the status quo, I also see a lot of similar posts where people say they dont want to approach women. Approaching doesn’t mean you don’t have the power in hand. Doesn't this contradict your post? Im not sure I see women getting annoyed about this. Its kind of irrelevant how we men or women feel about it, the system is the way it is. This is such a gen z and reddit take on compatibility. Compatibility is way more about values than music and hobbies. Its about the way you want to parent your kids raise them to be tough vs spend all your time making sure they have every need taken care of. Or what will you spend your money on a big house or a small house and lots of experiences, what kind of life you want rural/city/town etc.

I was thinking about this a lot recently and I think the reason for this is how long since the 2nd world war. Up until that point the majority of mens value was the related to his ability to fight in a war. That's the only masculine characteristic that society valued. It's been so long now and being in a war feels so far away if you love in the west that society has lost respect for masculinity. Im not saying its a bad thing either just explaining why.

This could be true for online but not sure what it says about men in general, think about what happens in real life. I litterally spend my whole day talkinn to my wife about her problems and thats fine thats what im there for I like it most of the time although can get a bit OTT some times. I think most women do this, I remember with my exes they did it even more and each problem was a crisis.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/26 10:27 AM

100% agreed. Entitelment in this context is just another word thats been weaponised. Instead of saying a man is an asshole people now say he's a mysogynist. Instead of saying he finds her sexually attractive they say he's is objectifying a woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/26 02:40 PM

I thought hyper active and ADHD is what OP was referring to? Being active and wanting to go on interesting 'adventures' is just called being normal. We're talkign about people who act like they're up to their eyeballs on coke on a monday morning when 100% sober at work. I know such people and they do well with women.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/26 02:32 PM

Well we're kind of agreeing except im saying someone would feel entitled to sex if it came easy in the past which is very very unlikely for men. You seem to think they'll assume it will come easy because their life has been easy in the past up to that point, which is very unlikely as well in this world.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/26 02:22 PM

This is true I have a friend who who is able to captivate women when chatting to them because he's very high energy, im not sure how he does it.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/26 01:48 PM

I used to date a ton and I was more successful than most of my friends yet now we're all married, them too, and to great women - so my point is we are not a bunch of weirdos we're decent looking guys but getting sex on a first date was pretty rare for me. Surely entitlement comes from expectation so the amount of guys expecting sex is going to be based on their past experience, its going to be really low like 1% or something. I hope this isn't a post based on what some guy said on a podcast.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/26 01:47 PM

Men dont need sex from stangers or on a first date but they need it in a relationship or it will break down\ they'll end up cheating. I don't see why you're hanging on this point like a gotcha?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/26 01:30 PM

I agree with the top level comment but also theres no contradiction here, paying for the date and planning the date\making an effort is more likely to lead to them liking you than if you dont do those things. It's not 100% obviously but who expects it to be.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/26 01:25 PM

Exactly those podcasts say crazy things for engagment the hosts might not even beleive them. The men on it are litterally the worst example of men but they do however still get some attention from women for various reasons. To then extrapolate this example and claim men who are very average can't get women because they have those views on women is just insane. It's also the same old misconception that is constantly claimed on here time and time again.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/26 10:55 AM

I doubt anyone in human history has ever said "you can't handle the truth" when confronted over cheating. That's perhaps the most ridiculous thing I've ever read on this sub, which is quite an achievement. Lol I thought that too.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/26 10:43 AM

According to your logic a long and happy relationship is as much of a success as a short one where they turned out to be an asshole and you dumped them. Very odd.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/26 08:10 AM

If she liked it, it's not even bad behaviour though is it? The ugly guys are jealous of the looks earnign them interest, not being able to commit bad behaviour. Trying to dress it up as the other way around is kind of crazy.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 03:47 PM
1

Exactly men never said that the answer was more talking and crying thats the answer women are telling us. Most of us are not embarassed about crying I've been told for the past 30 years its ok to do so there really is no stigma anymore about it, we're just different to women and we need other things for our mental health. Therapy is a step forward and it helps. Also it was a slight against 'other men' being the problem, which may be the case but thats not what this post is about.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 03:38 PM
2

Well yeah thats kind of how mens brains work. We're easily pleased we just dont want negative energy. My wife is perfect person for me anyway but if I could change one thing about her it would be that she doesn't get so stressed about work and the kids etc in the hope that she is happier. It wouldn't be like I wish she bakes me chocolate chip cookies or buys me small surprise gifts every so often!
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 01:55 PM

Ok so in this scenario whether they're an asshole or not is completly unrelated to the relationships chance of success?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 01:26 PM

I think the problem with your theory is the difference between male and female desire. For men it tends to be more of a spectrum they could find something attractive about probably 80% of women. They can acknowledge some are more attractive than others but it's intangible. Situation is completely different for women it's binary, they're either attracted or they aren't and you can't expect them to be with someone they're not attracted to.

The bonus points are a successful relationship, WTH is the point of dating otherwise?

That logic only holds if ALL people who have ever been hurt or struggled are in prison. Most people who have tough lives still don't resort to crime.

Isnt this cope? I might aswell go for the hot asshole mysogynists because some shy inexperienced guys are assholes too. It's pretty clear that arrogant behaviour that takes women for granted is going to be more common in men who find it easier to get women just basic logic.

No idea what this means, who is they?

What happens to those jobs if both partners are working, they don't disappear? Obviously either person in the relationship should take care of their fair share but they're both going to be exhausted, I think there's positives and negatives about both options. My wife would go crazy if she didn't work but I'd be happy for her to stop working as it would make our lives less stressful and avoid crazy childrcare routines.

Define not paying her? What's Money is she paying for groceries with while you work all day? What if she wants to stop at a coffee shop on the way to take the baby to the park?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 08:38 AM

And my main issue is the weaponisation of certain words that muddle the water. "Physical touch is my love language" it sadly often used in a way to guilt trip someone to sex. The same as when someone says "intimacy is important to me" and they mean just sex. I agree this is true but I think women do the same thing when they always say acts of service which basically translates to 'please do more chores around the house' which isn't really a relationship discussion anymore.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/26 03:34 PM

I like both but I think a lot of men in say its their love language who are in relationships because they're not getting as much sex as they want, if they were getting it regularly then maybe the just touching for the sake of touch would be a thing as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/26 03:31 PM

We agree?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/26 08:33 AM

Could you explain this and the implication?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/26 08:28 AM

Think you're asking the wrong question. It's not "Why do rich people stay married?" it's "Why do poor people break up?" both probably were in love at some point. The answer is that money is the most common thing people argue about and stress leads to me drinking and women getting depressed etc.

Im struggling with 'objectified'. Do you mean a man flirting with me in a way that referenced my physical attributes? I felt complimented but would prefer it to be a woman. I acknowledge theres a scenario that exists where a man doing that could make me feel uncomfortable and threatened but there's no offense at the 'objectifying' element to it for me.

As a man I dont even understand what the word objectification means towards a man I've had women come onto me make lewd comments grab me etc. It used to just be called flirting and sometimes it would lead to something like date or hookup. If the woman was unnattractive then I might not enjoy it as much but I woudltn feel threatened or anything I understand its completely different for women as the power dynamic is the other way. But personally I liked it and it turned me on that women were attra…

Men don’t treat sex objects as valuable. Can you include a source for this from real life not things people typed online?

A good question would be, did those men in history who are responsible for thousands or even millions of deaths struggle to get female attention?

Is this really a major issue in society, that not enough offensive behaviour is being called out? 000's of times more stuff is being called out now than it was even a few years ago. Also its kind of a supply and demand relationtionship, act shitty then not many people will want to interact with you. At least that's the way it works in real life. Online is a different ball game but who is defending shitty behaviour online?

Why did you change it to 'us'. I'm saying I don't do that is my whole point. Or are you saying I cant ever laugh about anything because some men are assholes? As there seems no logic to that.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/26 03:41 PM

Exactly this sub ruins the debate because blue pills assume that people on here talk to people IRL the way they do online and wonder why they cant get a woman. LMAO nobody does that.

I get what you're saying but in your view is it ever harmless? I agree that sometimes it isn't and could lead to men having less respect for women etc. But when me and my friends do it we're taking the micky out of ourselves we're the butt of the joke because its pointing out how our instinct is to be so terrible and selfish etc but that we're acknowledging that and trying to do better but we still laugh about it because what else can you do...

My OP isn’t about men trying to impress women? Everything men do is about trying to impress women... apart from online when theyre annonymous so its definitely a weird area that didn't exist just a few years ago.

Can we define what you mean by edgelording? Do you agree that some women might find a specific behaviour antisocial and others might find it funny or entertaining? As women keep saying they're all attracted to different things, doing something that disgusts 80% of women and attracts the other 20% is actually a good hit rate. You need to remember those are they kind of odds men are working with as most women are not attracted to the same thing.

I'd say there's a thin line between arrogance and charisma and there's a genuine debate about that. But the example in the link is neither it's some crazy kid and a bunch of desperate depressed kids on X, that doesnt say anything about men and what they do to impress women or other people.

This post is backwards your pointing to all the reasosn its a bad Idea to get married to someone you're not in love with and pointing to why they wouldnt fix problems in the relationship or make you love that person. When you're in love with someone you want to get married to them its as simple as that. Obviously not all people want to get married and thats fine too. On the name thing you're overthinking it. For most people their last name is not part of their identity in a meaningful way. I wou…

I think this is spot on in the explanation however the bit I disagre on is whether its any worse for men than women I just think it's different and different downsides based on our biology. The reason theres a tendency for both sexes to think the other has it easier is because in the initial stages we're after different things. In the initial stages of attraction if women thought like men then it would be way easier for men to get sex and if men thought like women it would be much easier for a w…

This is an incredibly rational breakdown. Many people either dont understand or wont accept it works like this. This is the reason I dont think there is any thing shallow or wrong with women falling in love with a man that has money or men falling in love with a woman because of her looks. People come as a package their actions and who they are is the same thing.

I think this kind of analysis is way too rational for this subject, human beings aren't rational. ITs not like before every thing a person does they say 'how is this adding to my life in a positive way?' And that doesn't even touch on the subject of short term and long term like is eating a doughnut adding something to my life or subtracting from it. Maybe long term its a negative but that doesnt stop people doing.

This is interesting do you think that women see a lot of things in the same way though? In my experience they have the same attitude to a lot of things like work or life in general. As in without meaning to insult women they don't always know what they want and they're often indecisive.

This is a good point, woman on this sub always have the idea of some guy in their mind who they didnt stay in a relationship with when talking about the problems with men . But a lot of the men on here's problem is that they cant even get to that stage. The issue is not that they cant keep a woman its that they cant get a date.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 01:58 PM

These are all fair points but most women dont want to be alone so I think whenever men say the things you're referencing they're talking about those kind of women and excluding the others from the equation.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
