I'd say no, because the structure of the family has changed throughout history depending on the social structure. If what you were saying is true, then the reason why we're seeing so many poly people now is because of a genetic shift in liberal countries. That's just silly (no offense). The popularity of polyamory is obviously due to politics and other social pressures. You can draw a straight line from the sexual revolution to the polyamory of today.

I don't think it's necessarily true that NT people don't have to learn social skills. There are plenty of people who are NT, but are weird as a result of their socialization. We live in a society that's starting to treat things like anxiety like an identity, but the thing is, your brain is plastic. Exposure can reduce social anxiety.
