All of this. The last time I was on a dating site was about 2015. And looking back I was even somewhat embarrassed to be on them in the first place.

I read somewhere a while back that she was doing a documentary a few years ago about her recovery from addiction etc, but then it was later reported that she was high and drunk during the making of the documentary lol.

Dude, literally this. I spent too much of my life growing up in front of computer screens and the internet, but I cannot for the life of me decipher things like Twitter and other social media when people use hard grammar and all kinds of symbols. Your common post these days looks like a clown up chucked.

I could create several posts about this related to my own life. The short version: spend many years as a blue pilled guy, volunteered a crap ton, was always there for people who needed a hand, if not I was the ambassador for my dysfunctional family, and even wanting to change the world, just as my career in the nonprofit sector was taken off, I was falsely accused of sexual harassment. All of it gets to a boiling point where you just stop giving a flying ****. I am now in a trades program and pu…

Literally this. Internally thank yourself for your friend saying that, because he just unveiled a large part of his personality and how he filters the world.

Started my undergrad circa 2009 right around the time the Tinder era took off and in 4 short years, I saw rapid degradation.

Go into the trades. It's what I'm doing even getting a masters right before the pandemic hit. A couple of short corporate contracts is all it took for me to nope out of the corporate world.

u/Android80631 Dude, literally starting doing this a few years ago. In my beta days, I would cross the street as not to come off as a creep, now I do it to not wind up in prison. Almost wish the U.S. had something like London with CCTV on all street corners. Feel like it would make people most honest.

This. I got turned off by dating because as soon as any meaningful convo starts to be brought up, they start getting huffy and distracted like a child.

Now imagine working in even a semi-famle dominated office.

Sadly, you will encounter this a few times in your life. I went into the nonprofit sector wanting to make a change in the world and it's the same office culture crap: got screwed over women. So now re-training into the trades (boat mechanic) as for the trades in general, women are few and far between, and the ones that are around here have to buck up, because crocidle teers are shutdown real quick.

I never understood being alone is such an alien concept to most poeple; I'm lagit wondering. Granted I've always been a bit of an introvert/loner myself, so it's come a bit natural, but can the majority of people getting caught up in the rat race simply not think for themselves or something?
