Women, on average, for the same crime with the same criminal history receive sentences 60% shorter than men and are twice as likely to escape incarceration completely. For reference the sentencing disparity between black and white men is 10%. Sounds pretty fucking extreme to me.

Raped, the word they never seem to use (unless a male teacher) is rape.

And we all know anecdotal examples are just as robust as peer reviewed studies!

Do you feel the same way about all pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers? Or are you on some ill informed crusade against glyphosphate specifically?

This. Glyphosphate and roundup ready crops are pretty incredible and have markedly increased food output. The tox is in the dose and unless you're taking a bath in it, you're fine.

This. I used to seek these sorts of casual experiences when I was younger, but I quickly became disinterested. It's kind of a lot of effort, rarely is the sex worth such effort, the risk of pregnancy decimating my financial security... None of that is worth it to me. I have what I consider a lower side of average to below average number of sexual partners and I'm not looking to add anymore unless they're potentially long term (I'm not a big marriage person) material, or a potential partner in li…

Meanwhile, the number of people moving into the upper economic strata has increased over the years, with the number of poor remaining the same. If you are poor long term in america, you have nobody to blame but yourself.

Yes. Do you think Musk paid ~$11billion in taxes in 2021 alone for funsies?

The top 10% of earners account for nearly 75% of all tax revenue while the bottom 40% of earners pay nothing or receive a net benefit. Employees are free to leave Amazon as well.

Some lives are better/worth more than others. Pedophiles and rapists are less than worthless for example. Basing worth on a person's sex isn't reasonable, however.

You'd be born without any inherent value at all and you'd be expected to build your value over a lifetime.

Women in sports wouldn't be a thing anymore, you'd get to fight and die for wars you don't support based on losing a lottery, your prison sentences would be 60% longer, there would be essentially no women in STEM fields, men would use the same degree of violence in dealing with you as they would a man who crosses the line, there would be zero female firefighters or cops... Just to name a few.

A world where women are treated exactly the same as men is a world women wouldn't like very much.

You are a deplorable sack of shit for conflating "gay" and "pedophile". Straight men sleep with women, is that a stepping stone to sleeping with young girls?

STEM is more of a preference gap. Men, generally, are more interested in things (hence engineers, scientists, etc.). Women, generally, are more interested in people (hence nursing, social work, teaching). Jobs dealing with "things" tend to involve skills that scale (and as you become more skillful you're contributions increase as well) while jobs dealing with people aren't very scalable (you can only teach so many people at once or have therapy sessions with so many people at a time). Jobs that …

Ayn Rand liked to refer to this sort of thinking as ethical selfishness. The moral duty is to ones self first, which is a perfectly reasonable principle. No fucking way am I risking everything I've built in life for anyone, especially not a stranger in the gym who these days has the power to destroy my life with a few words. Drop that bar on yourself doing bench press and I notice? I'm walking out. I'd probably get charged with h murder for not helping if I stayed and she died. No winning.

I'm a guy. If a guy did that to me in a medical setting I'm telling him to get the fuck out of the room and reporting the incident. Same if a woman did that to me. Shits inappropriate. Would I push to get them fired? Probably not. Am I reporting it? Every fucking time.

That story, as described, is creepy as fuck. The person telling the story is an internet toughgirl wannabe (I ShOuLd HaVe ThRoAt PuNcHeD hIm) but touch any part of a person's body you don't know and justifying with if you see something you like you have to touch it... is at the least creepy and weird as fuck. This is WILDLY inappropriate in a medical setting.

I don't have any kids, nor do I ever want any. I was smart enough to not tie myself down to some wretched woman for life through kids. Didn't need to feed my ego by creating some fuck trophies. I get to spend my time and money however I feel. Just like going your own way without a woman, I have no child anchor keeping me from doing exactly what I'd like.

They're better than kids. They're loyal to the end, always welcome you back home, their presence has been shown to improve mood and reduce depression, they make great partners for exercising and exploring the world. You're right, comparing then to children is rediculous because kids are a drain while dogs improve your life. I can't stand people who act like loving your pets is laughable.

Bro no need to defend your choice of career. You do you. If you enjoy it and it's rewarding than you e picked the right job. Anyone who would try to shit on you for being a nurse is either a cunt or an insecure cuck.

Pretty pupper you got there. Getting a dog was one of the best things I have done for my mental health. I was just out of active duty army service and it had taken it's toll on me. Deeply depressed, and found from a civilian doc that I was on the bipolar spectrum. After finding the appropriate meds and getting my dog I've been doing much better. We go on adventures together, she gets me out of the house, always gives me some lovies as soon as I get home. Dogs, and animals in general, have an ama…

Don't listen to this. Modern litre bikes are no bigger than 600s, they just have nearly twice the power. I started on a 600 sport bike and haven't had any problems. Lots of people do this. Starting out on a litre bike because you think you're too big for a 600 is crazy and a good way to hurt yourself.

Word for word the same in the army haha. My kit was faded, stained with carbon, random mre food, dip spit, etc. Their shit looked brand new. Thankfully while deployed I was at a site that was remote enough that we basically didn't have support other than medics and fisters, and consequently no women.

Good luck my dude. I'm glad you're stand up enough to prioritize your kids. You're self sufficient, skilled, and seem to have the mindset of busting your ass. I wish you the best in your future.

I was an infantryman in the army for a while and it was pretty damn similar, regarding women in the army. While I was in women still weren't allowed to be grunts so I never had to work with any. I did see our support people have to put up with that shit. Sleeping with 1sg, their team leader, squad leader, whoever to make their life easier and pick up rank faster. Never put on the shitty details, dudes would carry their gear (fuck that btw, carrying my own gear was shitty enough), just generally …

Dogs are the fucking best. Give your puppers a good belly scritch for me. My dog has been the best therapy I could ever have and an incredible partner for going on adventures. Always happy to explore and never complains :). I wish the best for you two in gyow.

It's about focusing on yourself and putting yourself as your top priority. It's about not letting a relationship restrict you from doing or pursuing what you want. That's how I see it.
