On the bright side, what she is currently taking part in is something I plan on donating to soon. http://www.mankind.org.uk/ EDIT: The site also has an "EXIT QUICKLY" button at the top corner incase someone was too offended to even click the back button.

Yes, I believe a +50% divorce rate is a problem. I believe loss of custody is a serious problem. I believe unfair alimony is a serious problem. The way our system is set up is genuinely unfair to one side. What makes it worse is the lack of support it has to change it. Maybe I'm not understanding where you are coming from, but I've personally seen the dark side of this first hand, from division of assets to custody to blackmailing all completely in the hands of the woman. None of which provided …

I'm sorry, are you new to this whole marriage thing? have you not seen/read enough articles to see it's not always a compromise of control. From what it looks like you don't seem to have any problems with the laws and culture around marriage and that's perfectly fine. But a good sum of the readers in MR have witnessed or gone through hardship by the things you just passively pushed aside. Obviously this is not true for everyone, but the numbers show how serious a problem marriage really has beco…

What do you mean it doesn't? It shines light on many aspects of a man's life. It shows how something so culturally vital is so one sided that we as men are forced to look at marriage in such a cynical way that no matter how we approach the situation with our SO it looks like we don't give two shits about them. It shows how powerless it can make us during and after marriage and most importantly it shines light on the illusion of the necessity of marriage. Mind you it's a comedy site so its primar…

How many decades do you think it's going to take before the original myth is completely discarded?

Ok first off, she never asked for an apology, in fact, she stated she wanted nothing. She did however state her concerns with the newspaper's ethical procedures. Fair enough, I'm not going to go into this because I don't see any deliberate attempts of discrediting the movement. I see where you are coming from but the minute she walked into the Women's centre and pleaded her case she knew what she was getting into and what would eventually come of her case. just like any lawyer, the Women's centr…

Anyone else see the contraditions between "take back the night" and "slut walk?

I'm actually half way through that book now. The idea of redefining words to their simpeletest and barest form to reduce its definition to one thing. This is a great example of eliminating the spectrum and down right misrepresenting any opposition. sad that book was writen in the late 40s as fiction...

Your defense is a wiki definition? In that case I got republicans all wrong, clearly what they are defined to be is is a more accurate representation of what they are. I don't mean to demean what you wish to achieve but it slowly seems like the definition of feminism is changing to only pursue the rights of women rather than equality. Maybe you should make a firm stand against your fellow feminist of what the true meaning is intended to be, or just change your personal beliefs from feminist to h…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
